jeannie goes to rome

so Jeannie gets to come after thanking the robot pilot for taking her who was confused as he only did what he was programmed for. so now on to her mission finding magic spear before the bad guys do. she guesses it is some place old, but all of the buildings here look old. she decides to do some sight seeing and look around.

huh colosseums old but it's open and falling apart so that seem like a bad place to hide something, course it might be in a place like that, but then again it probly isn't in a tourist attraction that draw too much attention to it accidently. huh, where to look. huh well it a religious artifact so maybe it's at one of the churches, no people go to those in and out all the time she thinks it would be some were more guarded like in a temple with some monks. she goes ahead ask some priest at the churches anyway they tell her about deferent relics but no magic spears Jeannie finds it hard to believe as she has had people shooting at her over it so there's got be something or there just nuts either way she still thinks finding it is the best way to catch the leader of the nazi guys cause he'll come for it.

she then decides maybe the priest she asked earlier are too low on the totem pole to know the truth about it, she needs to see the big guy the pope but that proves to be trickier than she thought as he seems to be hard to see , she decides it be better to come up with another plan when looking up stuff about Rome she finds articles about large catacombs under the city. yeah, that's the perfect place to hide a secret magic weapon yay she gets to play tomb raider. huh she looks over some maps she found of them, this might be tricky these things are huge will hopefully the bad guys will have trouble finding it too. so Jeannie decides which one to try first then she'll wait to tomorrow to try it seems she spent most of the day on a wild guesses chase with the churches and museums right now she's hungry so snack time

so Jeannie decides if she is going to be raiding tombs she should look the part she does some shopping and makes herself a tomb raider costume

now that she looks the part time to find that magic spear, unfortunately for Jeannie she is sidetracked by tomb raider fans that think she is doing some publicity thing for the game and she is forced stop and pose for pictures which she doesn't mind since she likes playing dress up.

so with that done back to saving the world, she finds the entrances to the catacombs and began looking around sure is dark cat eyes sure come in handy that and a flashlight she thought it is best to even though she see well in the dark it's pretty big so extra light helps. but all this dust an't doing her nose any favors. after looking around she sees something glowing from one of the rooms she  shines her light and sees a well  with an odd light coming from it.

she looks down the well oww pretty,that's got be it she sets the flashlight over in one of the corners to light the room up better and pulls a rope from her backpack . she looks around and  she spots a sturdy column and ties one end of the rope to. she ties the other around her waist. she climbs up on the well hope this is long enough geronimo! Jeannie jumps down the well that feels weird huh pretty lights she can't help but notice something odd in the well you wouldn't need super senses to know.

she looks around unsure of how far down she's gone or where she going.

Air travel did not agree with Danny. Neither did the excessive layovers in three different countries. The seventeen hour trip finally ended, and Danny found herself wandering around the city, looking for anything of substance to latch onto. Her overall objective seemed vague enough. Find something important. You'll know what it is. The problem was, Danny knew nothing of this city or what would dictate importance. But, she did recognize a familiar face. Just in a different outfit. "I don't know if she's important, but it does feel like she might have something to do with this whole thing."

Danny walked through the throngs of fans, wearing a pleated green skirt over black tights with a black sleeveless turtle neck. Her green converse shoes stepped over the centuries old cobblestone with the touch of fresh American nostalgia to three decades. By the time Danny cut through to the center, the person she searched for vanished. The crowd continued to stand looking at pictures on their phone, prompting Danny to grab a phone from a nearby teenager and look it over. "Yep. That's her."

The lost sensation of where her lead went dragged Danny towards a cafe off the side of the main walkway. Danny started to order before she noticed the sign in English specifying the establishment did not take any currency from outside of Italy. Time to get some of that. The hallway off to the side looked vacant enough to go and not be distracted by others, so Danny took her leave and pulled out her phone. A stone behind her slid as she leaned back against the wall. Less than a second later Danny fell back into an ancient hallway. The reception on her phone left, but Danny knew she found something interesting. Now she needed to figure out if anything down here was important.

ugh what a weird dream or was it a dream,first Jeannie thought she was climbing down a well in Rome next thing she knows she's in 1950's America with a wizard looking guy that said he wasn't but he was flying so that kinda makes her think she is.

so they were going to figure out how they got there cause he was lost in time to, now she's back at the catacombs. looking around she smells someone familiar following the smell she sees a woman also wondering around, danny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!jeannie runs over and hugs her friend happy to see her again

hey, what you doing down her? it's so nice to see you again. maybe you can help I'm really confused i think I found a time portal thingy in the glowy well, wonder if that's what the spear does, yeah that's why them bad guys want it so they can go back and stop me from stopping them

or worse they could go change the war so they would win and then wouldn't have to clone evil mustache man, oh have you seen a funny looking man with red hair? Jeannie looks around the room

he was in the other time with me got help him out,but how hey do you think the spears here or there,got find that two,so I can use it for bait to catch bad guys and get bounty money, that and this lady collects magic stuff so I'll see it to her for more money then, so what you been up to haven't see you in forever

Once surprise led to the next, and before Danny could get her bearings an ambush sprung into action. Something lifted her off the ground, but before Danny pushed herself to parley with her assailant, a familiar voice rang out in her ear. "Jeannie." Danny struggled to get loose, and struggled harder to get words out before Jeannie rambled off about a myriad of many things. "Wait, what? You're going through- wait, what?" More words continued to whirl from Jeannie speaking about a number of topics. All interesting and several sounded important. "A well that goes into the past? People want to make Hitler win the war?"

Danny finally pulled free from Jeannie and looked over to where the tomb raider lowered her rope. "Jeannie are you speaking English right now?" Jeannie could go from thought to thought sparingly, but this was all over the place. "I didn't see anyone with red hair following. So this is the well?" Danny brushed over the questions she knew nothing about. It came easy to breeze through them when such a powerful draw of time stood just beneath her. "Um, I've just been around. Not doing anything quite as daring as moving from one time period to the next though. This could be- do you know where this will take us, Jeannie?"

last time it took me to the 50's the guy I meet said he was lost in time to, so we both ended up there from different places, huh he looked Japanese so might go there,wonder what time he's from, he might be from the future.cuase he floated with a bubble like magic, huh
Jeannie grabs a stick and starts drawing in the dust on the floor

well that's interesting look this circle is the well where we are in the present,then here's the past were I was when I meet the bubble man then this one's the future were I think his from makes a triangle kinda funny seems I came looking for a spear and it looks like one. also funny there 3 of us involved now that you're here Jeannie starts counting her fingers

well i think this well is connected between our time and the 1950's so that gives us 65 possible years we could end up in guess we'll have to jump and see what happans

Jeannie smiles thinking of all the fun she could have with a time machine so lets go as long as we don't end up in the 70's were good,we had enough trouble with one disco remember,a whole time zone of them would be too much Jeannie jumps up on the well

so should we go at once or one at a time? well at the same time so we end up in the same time would be best, oh we could tie each other together that might help,

"He was red headed Japanese man with a mustache?" Danny knew enough of mixing heritages to make her up, but she could typically figure out something as outstanding as someone with the features Jeannie listed. However, keeping up with deduction always took a while when talking with Jeannie and Danny could not keep up. "Wait, what disco? Oh-" Danny remembered their first mission. "Yeah, that one. It took some getting used to, so I can see how the entire decade could trow us a curve."

Danny took out a rope while Jeannie went ahead and wrapped a rope around her waist. "Okay, so you're pretty quick with that." Now they stood before the well heading down into a portal to a time warp. She did not know how it would change, if the setting would just alter or if they would sift through a portal. Whatever would happen would come up soon enough, and if Jeannie made it back once it should be safe, but now Danny needed to take the plunge as well, and that would take some getting used to. "So, you came back from this right? We're both coming back?" Danny knew if she did not come back at her age, she would possibly get a chance to wait at this well for 80 years to tell herself to stop, but simply getting out of the well would work best. "And what exactly are we looking for in there? What is that spear?"

yeah,i came back so I guess we both should make it out ok, to be honest I'm not really sure there isn't really a lot know about the spear it's the spear of destiny there is all kinds of crazy stories about it, I think it's what's making the time warp it looks like a regular old spear in all the picture i saw but it probly glow like the poratl Jeannie looks down at the portal excited wondering where it'll take her this time.

she notices Danny looks a little nervous well understandable to a sanny persons this would be scary, good thing she has enough crazy for everybody. she sticks her hand out for Danny to hold hoping maybe that make her more comfortable if your nervous we can jump at the same time if that make you feel better, wonder where we'll be will go this time! 3,2,1 go!

Something about this spear sounded like it would be just the thing Danny needed to find. What she needed to do with it still remained to be seen, and Jeannie always acted as a wildcard to any of these adventures. Unfortunately, a larger spectacle stood before her. One as deep in time as it was in uncertainty. It almost made Danny want to investigate to see if there were any other things that could possibly fit the mold, or perhaps she could find the spear sitting above the ground.

Before the myriad of suggestions and complaints Danny could summon up came out of her mouth, she found herself pulled down the well with Jeannie. Danny felt gravity pull her towards the well as she heard Jeannie wonder where they would go. "Wait, I thought you said we were going to the 50s? Do you not know if this is random or not?" The time to think was ten feet above her. The time below her, well, she would figure it out in a few seconds.

well I'm like 95 percent sure it'll take us to the 50's cause I know it can cause I went there last time,but I only went once so there a chance it could go somewhere else time travels always up in the air you know,but if my guesses on how it works is right it should see my theory is the spear cuts a hole in time so it should be a two-way tunnel between here and where it landed there.

Jeannie's brief moment of showing her surprising intelligence is short lived as she is then giggling amused by the bright lights swirling around them as they fall through the time hole. they land with a thud and Jeannie jumps up holding her butt ouchies I forgot how rough the landing was you ok danny?

she looks over to see if her friend made it though ok

Stepping through the portal did nothing out of the ordinary, but make Danny look completely out of fashion. "So the spear should be near? And it is responsible for all of this?" Everything around them looked out of place, but Danny remembered in reality the two of them cast the difference in the area around them. When Danny looked around she failed to spot the tomb raiding partner she came with. Jeannie had a way of changing outfits, but no one around Danny looked like they fit the mold. For the most part Danny went unnoticed in the room full of sock hopping youths, but someone took notice of her. "Ninety-five percent chance my ass. Now where did she-"

A hand came out from a hidden door within the wall and grabbed Danny from behind, pulling her into a secret compartment. A hand stayed pressed over her mouth while an elevator began to descend. "You don't look like you're from around here. I guess we have you now Jeannie." Danny tried to get around the grab her bracelet, but found the bulky man hold her by the wrist, blocking her only means of escape.

Jeannie looks around for Danny huh weird she thought the would have landed in the same spot how strange maybe a big bird grabbed Danny and dropped her somewhere else well as long as she is in the same time she can find her.

so first Jeannie decides she should find some new clothes to blend in that way she can move about more freely in her search for her missing friend then they can find the spear. so looks like her guess was right about the tunnel she's once again on what looks like the set of happy days right then

Jeannie finds a store and gets her a more period appropriate wardrobe

right know to find Danny she sniffs around for her smell but then gets distracted by another smell burgers!!!!! Jeannie is pretty hungry so she decides to take a little break for lunch won't hurt maybe someone at the dinner had seen her buddy. she gets some food and ask if anyone has seen, Danny.

one guy says he saw a girl like that over a some party, so Jeannie finished her lunch and goes to investigate, yup Danny has been here but is she still here Jeannie smells her but hard to narrow it down when in a big group guesses she'll have to look about and maybe enjoy the party while she's here.

In the time it took Jeannie to roam around the past, Danny managed to find a way to get free from handcuffs and push the tiles in the top of the locked closet to give herself an escape route out. Danny crawled along the ventilation, collecting a large amount of dust on her tights. Two voices continued speaking just below her, their voices carrying over Danny's movement. Their voices carried on about spears and bounty hunters. Plans and foils. Misgivings and mistrust. Some how this all either fell on the fault of criminals or Jeannie. Possibly both, but one of those two helped Danny from time to time and never locked her in a closet. Intentionally.

A broken hatch to the vent stood behind Danny as she crawled out from the hatch. Now she just needed to find this spear. Well, she needed to do a myriad of others things too, ranging from discovering who was behind this plot, what they hoped to achieve, and how time travel worked. Hopefully she could get two of those, but knowing Danny, she would strive for perfection and bat all three down. Danny took a look around the room and noticed she still stuck out like a sore thumb. A sore thumb that drew the attention of other goons.

so after getting over being distracted by the party Jeannie remembers she came to find Danny, she follows her smell to a wall? huh, she doesn't remember Danny being a ghost so must be a secret door.

after examining it, she uses one of her knives and prays it open ok so Danny went into....... a closet well that was anti-dramatic Jeannie smells another smell a guy he most locked her up in her.

well he didn't do very well Jeannie notices some discarded handcuffs well would be a terrible waste leaving them her so she puts them in her purse to hold onto never know when handcuffs might come in handy. upon looking around some more Jeannie, discovers the removed ceiling tile ok Danny went this way or this place has very smart rats.

Jeannie climbs in and crawls through the vent annoyed that her new clothes are getting dirty well once she finds the spear she can make dry cleaning as part of her retrieval fee.

so after what seems like forever Jeannie finds an opening and tumbles out landing butt first on her missing friend jeannie smash!!!!!! hey, Danny what's up?

Most of the interior of the party continued to play out in the typical fashion of loud, noisy, and overly done, but it did not want to kill Danny, so she took it as an upgrade. Something blared out from behind her though. Something followed behind in the vents. Perhaps Danny did not do her best to escape in a the most quiet of fashions, but she had options now. And she chose the option where she ran and hid in a nook. The yells of her companion went completely unheard as Danny ducked away.

The yells did not fool everyone thought. While Jeannie moved out to try and get the attention of Danny, she gained the attention of the goons who noticed Danny disappeared. With a burlap sack, the goons would try to throw it over Jeannie and drag her off.

A piece of wall slid out from behind Danny. Her balance failed to gain her gripping again before Danny fell back. Danny looked for a mechanism, but noticed the wall simply no longer existed. Neither did the decor of the party she once attended. Instead, emptiness spread out all around her. A hole in the emptiness still appeared on the far side of the room, but it appeared farther. As she felt her mind go back into remission, an object began shining before her. It grew closer while the door to the party moved out of sight. Danny reached out for the spear and took it into her hand. As she lifted it, her very movement of the spear began to open another door back to the party. Danny stepped out of the portal and into the streets of 1950s Rome, with no trace of Jeannie.
