Lonely Little Kitty

Shin stepped off of a train that ran from Berlin to London, pulling his traveler's pack tight against his chest. The cities were large, and full of unsavory folks who he preferred to NOT have to use his magic on? His sword was strapped onto his back, covered in a thick cloth that concealed its form from the world.

Exiting from the platform, he felt the rain drops on his forehead, sticking out a hand to catch a few droplets. He pulled the hood of his blue and white trench coat high over his head, before heading down an alleyway. No money, no contacts, no anything, Shin didn't really have any options. At the moment, he was sneaking on any transport he could, travelling around, trying to find the dragon's his father had told him existed.

The bad ones, who intended to harm humanity. From what his father told him though, that had seemed to be all dragons. Leaning against a wall, his tired body sliding down it to sit on the wet ground, he let a tired sigh escape his lips.

"Well, here you are Dragon Slayer.." he muttered to himself, before hearing the cry of the small cat. He turned his attention towards the creature, giving it an apathetic look. "I'm sorry little one, but I don't even have food for myself."

He held a hand out to the small creature, offering his pointer and middle finger to scratch under it's chin.

"You can stay with me a while if you'd like, perhaps we can keep each other company."

Emilia moved closer to him and rubbed against him purring. She was cold and wet and she shook. She let out a friendly

Meow

The first person who was nice to her in the city. She wasn't going to change forms yet, that would scare him away so she just tried to wriggled under his coat so she could try and get warm.

She still shook under his coat but flipped on her back inviting him to rub her belly.

The blonde haired young man smiled softly at the cat, scratching at her with his pointer and middle finger, before wrapping his hand around her mid section. He gingerly picked the cat up, placing her on his chest, before wrapping his coat tightly around himself.

"Well, we're both a little cold here aren't we?" He said, rubbing the fabric of his coat against the cat, trying to dry her. "How long have you been alone?"

Letting out a small sigh, Shin looked out at the rainy London skyline. He would really need to find someway to get out of this cold, lest he find himself getting sick, and it's pretty hard to fight when you're in bed with the sniffles.

Shin blinked questioningly as the little cat ran off, perhaps she had her own family to get back to. The young dragon slayer sat there for a while, contemplating what he could do next. A job would probably be best, but, what job would his skills transfer to? Perhaps some form of butcher, or something that dealt with cutting of some sort.

He was about to move on, when he saw the small cat returning, crawling onto his lap and placing the money there.

"How did you..?" Shin questioned, petting the small cat's head. "Well, either way, we should get a place to stay, shouldn't we?"

Shin counted out the money, noticing it was well.. quite a bit. Enough for a meal and a bed at least. He was curious how the cat had gotten it, and felt a bit guilty. But, then again, the rain was very wet.

Shin blinked curiously again, wondering what exactly this cat was about. They seemed more... aware than most animals. Though, after being raised by something that was technically an animal, he shouldn't be so surprised. He followed the cat around, letting it bounce about and just be a cat, before it walked into the door of the Inn.

Shin paid the man, curiously looking at the cat every now and again.

"So, you're a smart cat." Shin finally said, opening the door to the room he had rented. "I'm gonna have to keep you around, you might keep me out of trouble."

Shin laughed at the antics of the small animal, laying down on the soft, though uncomfortable bed. It was the first bed he had been in in a very long time and although it was lumpy and old, it felt like heaven to his tired and weary bones. As the cat crawled out of the bathroom, hopping onto the bed, Shin petted her head softly.

"Let's get some sleep little one." He said, letting out a small yawn. "Tomorrow we will go explore the city a bit. I've heard some rumors about a dragon roaming around the swaps. Perhaps we will run into it, mm?"

Shin closed his eyes, his hands petting softly against the fur on the cat's head. He let his mind wander, thinking about things that would be happening in the coming days. Perhaps he would even get his first confirmed kill, that would be nice. He could finally achieve the dreams his father had for him, and make all those years of training worth something.

As he continued to day dream, the feeling under his hand began to change. For some reason the fur began to feel thinner and less...hairy? Now it felt more like.. was that skin?

"Kitty what's wrong with y-" Shin froze in horror as he looked down at the woman who was laying near him. He took a gulp of hair, realizing his hand now rested firmly on her stomach.

"WHAAAA" He yelled, rolling off the bed with a loud thump. "Girl.. you.. cat... but now girl? WHAT?!"

Emilia sat up holding the blanket to her bare chest.

Um... I....

She stared at him with mismatch eyes, her skin pale, her hair dark. She was frozen then she went under the covers, the lump where she was got smaller before she came out as a cat again and leaped on his chest, she started to lick his face with her sandpaper tongue, maybe he'd just think he was going crazy or something.
