Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

Dr. Alexander Dressler
"Stagnation is an agent of ruin. I am an agent of change and thus an agent of life"
Basic Biography |
Real Name: Dr. Alexander Dressler Villain Name: Gräuel Title: The Highform Alignment: LE Age: 32 Gender: M Race: Metahuman Hair: Blonde (varies) Eyes: Blue (varies) Height: 180 (varies) Weight: 6'4 (varies) Blood type: AB+ (varies) |
The Looks |

The Legacy |
Personality: Obsessive and cunning, Dr. Dressler is inwardly motivated to a point of near insanity. He will take all efforts he deems necessary for the betterment of the human race and the transcendence of himself. To his own ends he is charismatic and is reported to be pleasant company by nearly all who meet him. However a deep shot at his pride or work can often be met with anger or aggression. History: To begin, let us take a look at Alexander Dressler and his outlook on life. Never, has he considered himself a villain. Such designations would implicate that his work is in some way detrimental to humans, the human race or was in some way inherently evil. This is by no means the case. Instead Dr. Dresseler sees himself the visionary of a new age of man, an end to the stagnation that has been our evolutionary journey since the Industrial Revolution. All his life this man has worked and studied to better understand humans and biology and our place in the world. Having graduated from his first doctoral program at the age of 20 Dr. Dressler is no slouch in the area of intelligence and because of this feels himself qualified to make the evaluation that drives himself and his work. At some point in our past, man stopped reaching higher, the stars, the seas, deeper understanding of our universe and instead turned to the comforts of the flesh and the mind. Luxury was encouraged and the technology of the days became motivated as such. Materialism, consumerism and the like run rampant in the hearts and minds of every major country on this planet. Clearly something had gone wrong and Alexander is determined to fix it. Now how he achieves his goals is where the "villainy" begins. Shortly after discovering his metahuman abilities at the age of 25, the well established geneticist and medical practitioner began experimenting. At his hands was now the capability to effect real change on our dying race and he took full advantage of this. In his practice it was not uncommon for people to enter into this care that were dying, incurable diseases abound in the cesspool we now call are gene pool. These patients the one's beyond saving he would pronounce dead and inject with his own compound of tetrodotoxin, later sneaking out of the morgue into his own home where he had a constructed a fully functioning medical lab. There he'd test the limits of his new abilities and begin the work of reintroducing viable variety into the human race. Many patients died in agony at his hands, each one a loss but a necessary sacrifice towards his goal. And now after years of working and refinement Dr. Dresseler is still nowhere near where he'd like to be with his subjects, becoming more desperate and less careful with his experiments. Some day the world will see. One day they will worship him as the savior of mankind... |
The Powers and Weaknesses |
(All characters can be as powerful as they want, as long as they are balanced with proper weaknesses.) Powers Highform Physiology: Every cell in Dr. Dressler's body serves equally as the specialized cell needed for his normal biological processes and an unused and waiting stem cell. Along with this he is able to intuitively get an understanding of an organism's biology after either seeing it or coming in contact with it. Because of this unique ability, Gräuel is able to rapidly and selectively copy the appearance, inner processes, etc. of any organism he has seen or come in contact with. Essentially this is shapeshifting down at a cellular level allowing him to pick and choose aspects of animals, exceptional humans, aliens, etc. in to his own biology. Often this results in his transformation into a being or "abomination" composed of so many different pieces that it is unrecognizable as any of them. This is what Dr. Dressler designates as "The Highform", a creature greater than the sum of it's parts. As The Highform, Dr. Dressler's size has been observed to grow as large as a Redwood Tree or as small as a large rat. Further shrinking or growing may be possible but both would require significant effort on his part at a very high risk of potential injury or death in the case of growing larger. The size of disproportionate limbs can be adjusted and adapted to the size of his current form at his will (ex: turning his arm into a human sized praying mantis arm). Highform Mutagen: Regardless of Dr. Dressler's current physiology, every inch of his body is capable of producing an endless supply of "Highform Mutagen". Contact between the Highform Mutagen and any biological material (living or dead) begins a process of making the touched material "malleable". Dr. Dressler, with his intricate knowledge of biology can reshape the effected area(s) like an artist molding clay. It only takes a drop of Highform Mutagen to cause an effect in an organisms' biology (usually showing itself as a softening of the tissue), however it takes considerably more for the doctor to actually rework a being's physiology. The effects of the mutagen work on a sub-cellular level and is easily absorbed into an organism's circulatory, lymphatic and other similar systems. (anything beyond the basic tissue softening is permission based only). Weakness(es) Pride: Dr. Dressler's abilities could make him a wonderful infiltrator, morphing himself into personnel of interest and passing through even biological censors with ease to get into any secured location he wished. Equally he could take on the traits of other metahumans as their "super" traits are coded into their genetics. However, he is far too full of himself and his human appearance to do so. While he has no reservations with turning into animals, plants, insects, aliens, etc. taking on the traits of other humans is something he outright refuses to do as it would in some way infer that he was inferior to them. Should he in desperation take on traits of another human, it would take little more that pointing out or assaulting his pride for the action to make him expunge the new traits. Time: While fast acting and easily absorbed into the entire body of an organism, The Highform Mutagen is limited in it's uses. Most limiting is the amount of time required before Dr. Dressler can begin molding the organism to his will. While softening of the tissue on contact takes only seconds, getting it to a point that is workable takes about a half hour of constant absorption. This makes it's main function (the molding of organisms) entirely impossible in combat unless the target is restrained or incapacitated. Dr. Dressler cannot manipulate the biology of an organism from a distance and must be in contact with them to mold them. Only So Much I Can Do: The Highform Mutagen provides an unprecedented opportunity for Dr. Dressler to alter the biology of an organism. However, it has it's limitations. Specifically he must work with the the structures already present. So let's say he want to give a human wings. He cannot just mold a pair of working wings off of their back. If he does this they will be useless, made of skin and perhaps some useless muscle tissue. However, what he can do is morph the human's arms and hand into bat-wing like structures, stretching skin from the abdomen into the wing's membrane. In order for anything to be made or added, it must be built off of or from an existing structure. Comes With the Package: If Dr. Dressler decides to take the total form of an organism (besides his mind of course) he takes on their inherent weaknesses. (ex. he turns into a tree, fire hurts him) Bane of all Life: Dressler may be able to adapt and overcome many things but he has his limits. One of those limits is Arsenic. All known forms of life from earth require a few essential elements; hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulphur. These elements make up our DNA and are necessary for organisms to synthesize new DNA. But, certain elements (like arsenic) can replace pieces of the DNA strand and cause serious harm to the organism. If Dressler suffers from arsenic poisoning his abilities will backfire on him. Any adaptation he creates will become dead useless flesh and he will not be able reabsorb the created tissue in to himself or re-purpose it. This has the added detriment of increasing the levels of arsenic in him, further exacerbating the condition. And while there are some organisms resistant to arsenic poisoning (and thus available to Dressler) no living earth creature is immune to it. This means that even if Dressler is aware that he is going to be poisoned with arsenic and adapts against it he can only lessen the effects slightly, but not stop them. Its What's on the Inside That Counts: Dressler may be able to change every part of his physiology but there are certain things that don't change much from form to form. Specifically his inner and vital organs. Dressler can easily repair cosmetic damage to himself or his armor through shifting but damage the internal organs and they'll stay hurt through any of his transformations. (it should be noted that Dressler does not possess any form of regeneration. Instead his powers function like personal cellular manipulation, which is why superficial things and other parts of his body may seem to heal as he is injured. They do not and if his insides are damaged he has no way of instantly repairing them) The Human Factor: On any given day, if Dresser is walking down the street or going about everyday business he is for all intents and purposes human. As mentioned in the "Pride" weakness, he is very proud of his appearance as a human. If someone were to covertly attack him, slip something in to a drink of his (non-organic poisons, he wouldn't be able to detect them) or do some other stealth tactic to him, then his human form would be just as vulnerable as any other human. Tech & Magic: Dressler is bound in the natural world, both by his mentality and his abilities. While he could fight off someone with Tech or Magic they present a few specific challenges for him. First if someone derives their abilities from technology or magic (like a super suit, gadgets, spell books, artifacts, etc.) then he has no way of determining what they can do without first seeing them do it (if any of those things have altered their genetics however, then he can see that). Super Suits (like iron man) present a specific challenge with this first part as someone underneath could have abilities and Dressler wouldn't know until he got some part of them exposed. Secondly, technology and magic can produce effects that don't exist in the natural world. Dressler has no in born "magic bullet" defense against anything produced by technology or magic that does not have an equivalency in the natural world. RP Mechanics RP Mechanic(s): The high plasticity of his form also allows him to eventually regenerate from nearly any injury (reason for him not being killed without my permission). Aging also appears to have stopped due to this though he is not at an advanced enough age to tell. Dr. Dressler is a certifiable genius and possesses multiple PhD's in biology, genetics and other associated fields.
