A New Friendship (Beerus and Umbreonxd, Closed)

Beerus awoke to the shaking of the plane as it landed on an airstrip in Aldine Heliport, the city of Houston, Texas. The boy slept the entire way from New York City to Houston. Beerus rose from his seat and went with the flow of people as the exited the plane. Beerus walked through the airport without getting his bags, he didn't bring any. He went through security quickly and called a cab. The kid waited about an hour for the cab to arrive. While he waited a number of people looked his way with confusion.

When the cab stopped for Beerus to get in, the boy told the driver to talk him to the nearest McDonald. The driver began to drive to his costumer's chosen destination when he said, "Aren't you a little young to be by yourself?"

Beerus answered calmly but with a commanding tone, "Trust me, sir. I'm not as young as I look."

The rest of the ride was silent. Beerus paid the cab driver the fee and walked into the fast-food restaurant. The boy ordered a quarter pounder and a small Pepsi. Beerus found an empty table and sat down to eat.

Joseph parked his car outside a McDonalds restaurant. His mother wasn´t on home, that means no dinner for him. -Looks like I have no option that eat junk in this so called fast food restaurant- he said to himself. He wasn´t really a fan of McDondalds, but it was the nearest place when he could have a meal.

He entered into the place, there was a lot of people there. Almost all tables were actually fully occupied by families. He didn´t care about that in that moment.

-Welcome to McDonalds, make I take your order- said the employee to Joseph. -Yeah, I would like to eat a cheese burger with fries and a soda- was the reply of Joseph. After he took his tray, he searched for a table.

Almost all the tables were occupied, except for one. The table was occupied, but there was a chair free, in the same table with a young boy. Joseph seated down to eat his meal. The young boy was really quiet. Soon or later, they would have to talk to each other. -Eh...Hello there- said Joseph to the young boy.

Beerus took a bite of his meal, then took a sip of his soda. The kid was so focused on eating that he didn't see nor hear the other person sit down. When the new person spoke, it startled Beerus. The young boy jerked his head up which made the bite his mouth go down his throat. Beerus began to choke. The boy momentarily grabbed his neck, only to let go a few seconds later. The boy calmed down and completely stooped his breathing. After he stopped breathing, Beerus closed his eyes and started a small fire his throat. The boy increased the temperature, trying to burn up the half eaten piece of food quickly.

After the obstruction was gone, Beerus looked up at the person who spoke. "Hey. Thank you for that new experience," Beerus said sarcastically.

The young boy was apparently surprised by Joseph. So surprised that some piece of food got stuck in his throat. Joseph was shocked, he didn´t know how to react at first. He looked all over the place, no one seemed to notice the unfortunate event. Luckily for him, he could be blamed for that.

After a couple of seconds, the young boy seemed to got rid of his problem. Joseph was really worried, he just have met a stranger, but everything was turned out wrong. The young boy made a sarcastic comment, he didn´t seemed to be angry at all, but Joseph was still worried about him.

-Sorry for that...¿Are you all right?- said Joseph, worried about the stranger.

Beerus saw the worried look in the stranger's eyes. "Yes, I'm okay. That could have been bad." Beerus answered. I haven't had to create fire inside my body in a long time, Beerus thought to himself. The boy took another bite of his sandwich. As he ate, Beerus studied the man, there was something about him that Beerus found interesting. The fire fox scanned around the eatery, looking for the hunters that may have followed him.

"Do you live here? You look like someone who does," Beerus asked.

The young boy has started a conversation with Joseph. -Well, I live in Texas, but in the small town of Wimberley, I just came here to have a nice meal- said Joseph, smiling at the young boy. Joseph though that it would be better if they start knowing their names.

-And how about you? Whats your name? Are you from here? you look very young to be alone, are your parents around here?- said Joseph. That actually looked like a very young boy, maybe he was lost.

After saying that, Joseph took a bite of his cheese burger, expecting the young boy to reply.

Beerus listened to the stranger's response, then to the man's question. "Well no, I'm living in Now York right now. But see that Texas in getting a lot of sun right now, I may move here. And my name....is Beerus. As for my age, that's a long complicated story," Beerus continues, "So, since we're introducing ourselves, what's your name?"

Joseph listened to the young boy´s reply. He was called Beerus, he lived in New York, however, he has plans to move into Texas. But more mysteriously, he didn´t want to tell his age. Joseph found that really strange, however he didn´t gave too much attention to it, after all, he didn´t though that the conversation with Beerus would last more than a McDonalds meal.

Beerus asked for his name. -Well...my name is Joseph...Joseph Olson, nice to meet you Beerus-said Joseph, while taking a drink of his soda.

Joseph was still really curious about Beerus´age, so he insisted. -Are you for your own? Where are your parents?- he asked.

Beerus took another bite of his large burger while Joseph said his name. Then Joseph asked about his parents and if he was alone. Beerus's black eyes grew even darker at the memory the question provoked. The lest memory of his parents was of his mother fighting to give him a change to run. That was over 3000 years ago. As Beerus spoke, his body began to heat up in anger and his spiky hair waved slightly. "My father died a long time before I was born. M...my mother...was killed trying to make a path for my to escape...that was over three thous...a while ago. And yes I am by my self" Beerus began to calm down as he breathed in and out slowly, thus cooling down before bursting into flames.

Joseph ´s face changed quickly, to being happy to a really worried and kind of sad face. It turned out that Beerus was actually an orphan, both of his parents were dead, and he was for his own. It was really hard for him to continue the conversation at that point. Knowing that, his face wasn´t happy anymore around the boy, it would be unrespectful for him to smile after what Beerus just said.

-Oh...Im sorry for what just happened to you, that is really sad, I kind of understand you, see I never really met my father- said Joseph, trying to cheer the boy up.

Joseph didn´t expect that to happen, he didn´t expect meet an orphan in a McDondalds.

Beerus' head bounced up at Joseph´s mention of never seeing his father. So, we're the same in that area, huh? Beerus thought. Beerus looked at Joseph to see a sad face. Beerus took one of the last bites of his meal. Beerus then took a slow deep breath through his nose, taking in all of the scents in the room. Beerus focused on Joseph´s scent, so he could remember it, just in case. Joseph was was slowly becoming more than just an acquaintance. 

"What about you mother?" Beerus asked hesitantly slightly looking down.

-My mother? well, she is alive and I still live with her, she...she is te best mother that anyone could ever ask for, she teached me everything I know, Im very lucky for being her son, she is just awesome- said Joseph looking down and smiling, with watery eyes, remembering his mother.

Joseph´s mother, Sarah Olson was the previous "Queen" of the familiy, but now she was retired. When Joseph was born, she never thought that he would become the next Queen. But an accident made her sterile, so the only possible option for the next Queen was him. Sarah teached Joseph how to be "The Queen" since he was only 12 years old, that wasn´t easy at all, but all the patience and dedication of the mother made it possible.

After a silence, Joseph finally talked.-Sorry, I went lost in my own thoughts- said while he looked back to Beerus.

A smile grew on Beerus' face as Joseph told of his mother. The happy description reminded the child of the happy moments with his own mom. Then the table went silent. Beerus let the young man reminisce for a while. Beerus began to recall the best time he spent with his mother. Beerus was 49 when he mom took him to his birthplace, the Earth sun. He and his mom spent five years inside the sun. While in the sun, Beerus' mother told him of his father, the Fox God, and about his death.She also told Beerus about his sealed god powers and about the Fox Hunter looking for the mother and son.

"Those years inside the sun were so warm," Beerus unknowingly said out loud.

Joseph noticed that Beerus was lost in his own thoughts too. He heard him talking something about his days living in the sun, and how warm those days were. Joseph thought that that sentence was simply an exaggeration that was a reference of him living in a very, very hot place.

-Oh, so you were living in a really hot place before New York right? Was it Mexico? I heard that some places of Mexico have really hot temperatures in summer- said Joseph.

Actually the idea of living in Mexico didnt sound so bad for him, even with all the high temperatures, he would totally do that, only for the spicy tacos.

-I know that in summer Mexico can be as hot as the sun! at least thats what they say, you know-Joseph said while taking the last bite of his cheese burger.

Beerus' face instantly went red with embarrassment. "Crap, I said that out loud." Beerus started to scan the room again, this time more frantically. After scanning the room, Beerus calmed down once more. The kid finally finished his meal. "I'm glade I met you, Joseph,"  Beerus said standing up and offering his hand in proper greeting.
