Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

The Fate of the Guardians
It was a quiet day at the Guardians Base in Chicago. Strangely so. There were many possible reasons as to why it was this way. Perhaps because it was that crime had mysteriously been dropping in frequency. Or, more plausible, many Guardians members had simply been out of town doing other things, including their leader. Among the ones who were in their home city at the time were Vanguard, a powerful hero who donned a suit of armor, Forcewave, a well-known and respected hero with many merits under his belt, a very new and innocent member who no one knew much about, and Annie Taylor, aka Firefly, a young British girl who had transferred to the city from London. She, of course, hated every minute of it and was longing to go back home any time soon.
Incedentally, it was her who occupied the conference room with the large round table in the center of it. She quietly read a book at the end of the table. Annie liked to read. It was the only thing that ever calmed her otherwise constantly furious nerves. This room was especially good for reading because it was large, and quiet. She didn't really care about anything else at this point.
Suddenly, an alert popped up on her communication device. A news alert.
LARGE BATTLE ERUPTS IN LONDON STREETS! BUILDING DESTROYED!
Annie didn't bother to read the rest, simply rolling her eyes. Another day, another hero and villian not paying attention to collateral damages. She simply sighed, propped her feet up on the table, and continues reading her own book

Re: The Fate of the Guardians
Chicago, a city of wind and crime, mostly crime however. Ever since New York had been destroyed, it seemed that all of its crime had moved to Chicago, and that meant more problems for heroes, as well as the police. So that meant that Colin would have to work double time to deal with all of the problems that came along with it, even though he did not like having to do so much hero work while juggling the college work that playboy Travis Masters had thrown upon him almost unexpectedly. At first he was a little bitter at the sudden change, but then he only needed a moment to appreciate the gesture, as the guy always seemed to have the best in mind for him. It would have been rude to throw that back in his face, even though Colin did not like the idea of leaving his family back in Canada while he had schooling in Chicago of all places.
”Yeah yeah, I have my first real break in like a week, I think I can visit you then. So try not to kill each other until I get there.” Colin said, letting the wireless features of his suit process the call for his siblings, not that they could tell the difference between it and his cellphone, which he so loved about this high tech suit thing. A small chuckle emanated from the other side as his sibling would laugh about something, before hanging up and leaving him perched upon one of the many buildings that overlooked Chicago. He was expecting it to be another boring patrol day, and that was what he got, eventually landing off at the Guardians base, and letting his suit rest within it's place before finding a familiar face within the meeting room, catching sight of what looked like an alert.
”So what's goin on there?”

Re: The Fate of the Guardians
Okay, wow. This place was disorganized. There were boxes of stuff just laying around, and random things scattered about. Wait, was that someone's sock? Eww. Not cool. Forcewave was walking around this building that was being used as the base of operations for the superhero group known as the 'Guardians'. Though by the looks of it, base of operations was a loose term. This place was a mess right now.
Forcewave had stopped by to see who was around, and had only found one girl that he didn't know that didn't seem interested in anything. With that being a thing, he decided to just check the place out. Little had he known it was so disorganized. Feeling a bit generous and being somewhat of a neat freak, Forcewave took to trying to spruce things up a bit. At least make it less likely for someone to trip over something while walking around. He grabbed a box and moved to pick it up, but quickly realized it was a lot heavier than it looked. Argh, he felt like he was about to drop it as he tried to place it on a nearby table. Then the alarm went off and it caused him to drop the box and the sound of something break rang out. "Oh no." he said, but was drowned out by the alarm.
After deciding to just leave that heavy box there, he headed to the meeting room. Upon arriving he saw that the guy that wore the armored suit had arrived. "Hi." he said simply before turning to the computer to see what the fuss was about. It was reporting something going on in London. Oh well that's a long way away. Forcewave walked up to the computer to try and figure out what was going on overseas.

Re: The Fate of the Guardians
No. Nuh-uh. Negative. Beverly stands at a shelf in the Library of the Guardians' HQ. She reorganizes things as she passes down the shelf, thumbing through every book. "You'd think a bunch of super sorts would have a 'super library of endlessness' or something. How hard can it be to find one manifesto?" She places a book back on the shelf. "Evidently as difficult as keeping the library in order. That's not rocket science, is it?" She pulls another book and thumbs through it, sighing. "Stupid history. The one class being a genius doesn't help with at all. And what's worse, now I'm talking to myself, again." She glances up as the alarm sounds. "Ah. Good. A time emerges where it's totally okay to be insane. So what sort of death defying deed shall t be, today?" Beverly pulls on her mask and hood, then rushes off to the meeting room as Liberty.
Once there, she looks around the room at the set-up and the assembly of people. "Ooh. I think I found the only shiny room in this camp," she says, dropping into a seat and spinning around in it. "Spinny chairs. Fun. Sooo? Whose hide we savin'? Kitten in a tree? Child in a burning building?" She looks, more carefully at the monitor. "The entirely of one of the most famous cities in the world, perhaps?" She looks around again. "Huh. Only four of us. Well, this is oddly familiar. So, we goin' on a field trip, or what?"

Re: The Fate of the Guardians
Annie looked up. Three other of her teammates had entered the room. She stood up, eyeing them. They seemed like the standard hero-types. All coming because of the news of the attack in London, she assumed.
"What? You're all here about the London thing? Don't worry about it." She turned to the other female in the room. "Of course not. We're not going anywhere. No need to fly all the way to London."
But in reality, the attack had been bigger than Annie had made it out to be. A large battle that had tore through a whole neighborhood. No one knew what started it.
Annie turned to the two she hadn't met before. "Hello there. I'm Annie. And you two are?"
