21 Questions: Guardians Edition

"Hm....buy a house, maybe? A place to live? Nothing crazy. You can do a lot with a million dollars, so Iwouldnt be spending it on something stupid, like...I dunno, lifetime supply of soap. That'd be stupid. I would get something worthwhile. Something to...last me. Something that could do some good.

Annie had noticed now that Ms. Masters was on the far end of drunk. Looks like their little game would be ending soon.

"Um...is there anyone you hate? Who you just...want to kill? Just...wondering."

The question seemed to cause another long silence between them, Shauna's eyes drifting upwards to the aurora borealis. All this time they'd been talking they had a great light show in this frigid place to drink. Memories starting gunning for the surface, but the Lurid Laser Lass would forget them soon enough.

"Mecha Minotaur, Spartan Stan, The Pacific Pirate, Cryoreaver, Manchu Marv, Gene-vader, Blindside... and a few more... Except I didn't just want to kill them. I put them all in the ground. For a variety of reasons." She said, naming names of C-list and B-list villains from the early 2000's who had since fallen off the radar.  All of them apparently, had the misfortune of tangling with a younger, angrier, hateful Shauna. She fell into a long pause, putting the bottle down.

"...Right now... I really try not to hate on anyone anymore. Everybody's got a story, and it takes only a few choices to become something that other people would call 'villain', when in fact, life was just rough. Revenge gets you nothing, and you'll learn you have nothing. Nothing..." She said that last word a few times, her voice seemingly sounding like she was choking up, on the verge of crying, emphasizing the emptiness of pursuing bloody vendettas. Shauna took a few more minutes before she came up with a question.

"Where'd... you like to live...? Me, I think I wanna go... go back home to south america... maybe Brazil..." She asked.

Oh boy, look like she struck a cord with that question. Annie didn't have to put much thought into this one.

"Well...I'm an English girl, through and through. Wether it be London, Birmingham, or Manchester...I'll always see the good old UK as home, no matter where the Guardians send me." Annie laughed. "Maybe I should ask about setting up a base in London. I would certainly enjoy it more than having to fly all the way to that town in America." She shuddered. "America...now there's a place I absolutely wouldn't want to live. More metahuman suspicion there than any place on the freakin' globe..."

Annie sighed. She decided to take a small break, now that Ms. Masters didn't seem so well.

"Are...are you okay, Ms. Masters?"

Shauna didn't answer. The alcohol took its toll on Sun Queen, and she had fallen fast asleep in her chair. Apparently Shauna snores as well.

Annie sighed. Looks like Ms. Masters had finally fallen asleep. And so, their meeting had come to a close.

"Well, at any rate, it's been a charming afternoon, Ms. Masters." She said, talking to her as she snored. And, just in time it seemed, the jet flew in to pick the two ladies up.

Annie's time with the Guardians was sure to be interesting.
