Rain drops [Bella Prodigy recruitment]

It didn't look like a very promising day in LA, or from what Ryan could tell anyway. As usual a dark cloud hung over him, releasing a steady drizzle upon him, steadily dampening his hoodie, but otherwise not doing much in the regards of getting him wet. Ryan buried his hands into the warm pockets of his jacket, hoping that would do something to keep him warm, and to an extent it seemed to be doing the job just fine. Prodigy work had been slow lately, even though he thought crininal things had not really slowed down along with it. While he had no one with him, the young cryokinetic felt like he could probably try to do some good, maybe impress his fellow members of Prodigy, but then again that was just a hope more than a fact. Cars would drive by, people gooing about theit lives without even realizing the metahuman amongst them, but he liked it, people not looking at him like he was some kind of freak.

”Finding criminals is harder than I thought.” Ryan muttered, looking at his phone, casting a dull light across his face, though he was still new to the whole reading thing. Silus had been helping a lot lately, along with Danny, so at least he could do some of the basic stuff, but someoen shouldn't be expecting him to read any novels. It made texting easy though, so he was fine with that. Well texting, and reading menus, thus making getting food from resturants much easier. ”I wonder if a bank would have something goin on, they always have something going on.” Ryan murmered to himself, standing up from the bench and looking around, breath releasing from his mouth in a small white cloud. It wasn't that cold, but metahuman stuff, no need to explain.

Now came the question of where a bank would be, as he had never been to a bank so that would mean learning what the buildings looked like.  Ryan muttered something to himself, rubbing the back of his head. Luckily, it seemed like crime was not too far off, or rather he would not have too much of a problem finding this crime anyway. A cop car drove fast by him, their sirens wailing loudly as if basically saying “Hey, something bad is going on this way”. ”Bingo.” Ryan muttered, following after where it looked like they were going, and hoping that he could catch a glimpse of something. Pulling his hood over his head, Ryan made sure it was covering his face for the most part, eventually coming upon what looked like a pretty large bank. ”isn't this a little...cl..whatever that c word is?” He said butchering the phrase horribly, before trying to reign in his power to defeat some bad guys.

From what eh could see, it was some kind of hostage situation, though from where he was it was not too obvious. ”Okay, time to see what I can do.” Freeze things most likely, and within an instant he was gone, slipping through a puddle that had formed near him.The next part was somewhat complex, him appearing in one that he had been somewhat pushing to form next the entrance, trying to gather a vlast of ice within his hand, and upon seeing the first guy with a gun, he would unleash this blast of frost. It would slam into the hand holding the gun, freezing over the weapon as well, knocking the guy on the ground. ”Drop the guns and I don't beat you guys up.”

Bella had decided to go away from New york and go wherever she ran which she couldn't help that much, turning into a cheetah and running at the speeds of god knows. She stopped herself at city and reverted, that was two days ago and besides not knowing much about the streets this place was turning out to be just another survival game to Bella. Maybe punching something would brighten her mood, then again she could open up the wound on her arm and waist from that fight she had but that didn't stop her from thinking about it.

Bella moved from the cover she was sitting under and walked forwards for a bit, not really knowing what to do with herself. Then something hit her thought wise, vist buildings and see new things that always made her smile back then, seeing new things. So with this plan unfolded in her mind she walked a little faster and made turns until coming across a bank. She could remember sitting in banks when she was younger so she decided to try and remake that memory.

The bank itself was quite crowded with people doing what they planned to do once entering. She sat down next to the front window and looked out it, not much was happening besides a couple of men exiting a van with ski mask and guns. She leaned back from that, this place was going to get robbed and she didn't have any time to get out. Seems she wasn't the only to see this as shouts of fear and confusion started to fill the once somewhat quiet bank. By the time the men came in and shouted at everyone to get on the floor Bella was quite sure the employees had rung the police, maybe a hero would come. Other than that Bella stood up and did what most civilians did when they were in a bank robbery, listen to the robbers.

Few minutes later, robbers are making checks on hostages and others are trying to get the cash, sirens can be heard outside and bella had counted at least eight men that were doing the dirty deed. As someone with an power she felt obliged to help stop this but even he didn't know the limits of her boosting, weather her form would be bulletproof or not. But within patients came an opportunity as a hero, barely taller than her appeared and froze a mans hand. He issued a threat to the gunmen and Bella thought to help that threat along. With all the focus on the new arrival, Bella stood up and walked behind two slightly confused gumen. "I think you might wanna listen to him." Bella said out loud to the two before focusing her mind and becoming a Gorilla. (3+ Dur 3+ strength) The two turned their heads bumped into her rock hard chest. Now she had to wait and see if these boys would drop their guns or if they would shoot.

Ryan stood as tall as he could considering his low height, trying to appear as intimidating a spossible to the potential robbers. Afterall, just being a metahuman apeparing to stop the bank robbery might have been enough to make then think fo a second, but having one of them unable to do anything was even better in the long run. “Fuck, its one of those metas.” one of them cursed, seeming to quickly turn to threaten one of the hostages, and forcing Ryan to react as fast as he could, though such action meant he could not as accuratly control the power that would flow from him. The ice would gather within his hands, as he unleashed it upon the robber, taking them off of their feet, throwing them through the air until they collided with the wall, ice forming around them up to the neck and serving as a cacoon. Ryan winced seeing the impact, symapthising with the pain the guy was likely feeling, though his position was improved by the person that had jumped in to help.

”Yeah, put the guns down and no one has to get hurt.” Ryan would say, the shaking within his voice covered enough that no one could really tell it was there, trying to brave like a hero should be. The tempature of the air around them seemed to drop suddenly, causing some of the gunmen to shudder upon feeling he effect, though one of them only seemed to chuckle. This was starting to not go as planned, the man removing a small vial from his sleeve and rolling it between index and middle fingers. ”W..whats so funny?” He would start off weakly before forcing himself to sound tough, strong in some fashion. He was powerful, so perhaps he could try to act like it.

“Looks like the boss was right.” Without a warning, he would unscrew the cap, and down the entire vial. Followed by something strange, a spark as blue fire would begin to envelope the human, not killing them but forming like a cloak, flowing along the fringe of the flames as a white color. “We wouldn't have to search afterall.” the flames would gather around his palms, forming a sphere of fire that seemed to nullify the cold, and with a motion, he would unleash the fire upon the heroes, Ryan only have enough time to create a barrier of ice, rapidly melting within the presence of the fire but enough time for the other meta to do something.

Pyro grid:

Bella watch the ice manipulator in action, it reminded her of the pyro fight she had a few days before... She shook her head as if to rid the memories and looked towards the chuckling man, that also reminded her of the pyro. This one drank a vial and soon turned into a flamed human. Bellas luck with pyros was not that great and they may turn into her second most hated ability. Again the pyro sent a blaze of fire that the ice meta made an ice barrier that seemed to melt but work when protecting against the fire.

Bella herself made a mad dash to the side to try and avoid the flame attack but the heat it emitted was furious. She picked up a chair that was nearby and threw it with all her might at the fire meta or human turned meta to see what he would do and how she would attack next.

So now there was some kind of magical liquid that could give people superpowers? Ryan had never seen something so fantastical, but considering the many things that metahumans could do, he was not too surprised by it. Okay, Ryan was really surprised, but that changes nothing. The stream of fire would reduce his wall of ice to around an inch thick, water pouring from the once powerful construct, spreading outwards along the ground and increasing his control of the whole battlefield. Still, this guy was pretty strong if he could have burned through his sheild without even looking like he was trying, but then again Ryan was overthinking things, for Ryan anyway. ”Um...okay.” Ryan muttered, concentrating as the wall of ice would reduce to water and continue to wet the floor, the shapeshifter charging the pryokinetic.

“Cute.” He muttered, letting the flames around him stoke once again, turning attention from Ryan to both superheroes while his compartiots continued their little heist. A chair would be her weapon, careening through the air, only to be meet with a cloak of fire that incenerated the sitting construct, before it could even reach him. All that remained were ashes, falling to the ground soundlessly, while he stood there unopposed, arms crossed over his chest while he surveyed the metahumans against him. “Gonna need to step up your game kid.” he sneered, though what came next was not expected, a torrent of water that shot out at the pyro, clashing with a wall of water and creating a veil of steam, enough to perhaps allow a sneak attack.

Bella watched as the chair did nothing but turn to ash, she waited for an attack but her allie as of right now had attacked and a smoke screen of steam was formed. She knew this guy couldn't be attacked from the a frontal attack. She grabbed another chair and lobbed it at where she saw him last and then quickly moved into the stream to the right using the pyros scent to keep tabs on his location.

She was maybe behind the the new meta or whatever and was ready to pounce, his flaming body was seeable now and she didn't know what the other meta was doing but now she had the chance and she took it. She pulled her arm back and clenched her hand into a fist, aimed for his head she sent her fist at the pyro's head.

The steam rose with a hiss, obscuring view and actually making this whole fight thing much easier than Ryan would have though, but then again he did not have tim for thinking when there was fighting to do. Actually, now that he thought about it, the steam was a pretty smart movew on his part, and he didn't even know he was doing it. That called for a mental pat on the back, which would keep him going until he could do a proper one later. It was within the steam that the pyro tried to keep on his toes, knowing that likely the heroes would be lurking around, ready to strike when he least expected. He had no time to react as the fist would collide with his face, hard enough that even his superhuman body could feel it, and her was thrown agaisnt the ground.

Even within the steam Ryan could see the attack connect, and that was enough to hearten him, as he made a motion and all of the steam would part quickly. If he remembered, steam was still water or something like that, meaning he could move it, or so he thought anyway. “You little bitch.” The male would growl, before unleashing a torrent of of fire in the direction of the female, though leaving himself open enough for Ryan to try something, unleashing a blast of ice, catching the limb and forcing it to the ground. The ice would melt, but it gave her a second to strike.

Bella backed up and prepared to feel the burn but nothing came and she opened her eyes to see that her icey ally had already attacked and froze the pyros arms. If a gorilla could Grin, you would have seen a smiling one as Bella closed in one the pyro meta and uppercutted him in the chin or at least his chest. Sending the bugger flying or reeling back but she couldn't tell which.

She was a little busy with blowing on the hand she punched the human torch with trice. Her fist was pretty much toast again. "I.. thanks." She said in a non human voice.

The strange metahuman had managed to strike him around three times, each strike painful, though something told him that her making contact with his flame coated body would do something to her. The force from the last strike had been enough to throw him into a wall, a grunt of pain slipping between his laps as he would slide to the ground. ”No prob.” Ryan would say, noticing the shapeshifter speaking, and then turning his attention to where the pyro had been within the slowly fading steam. The shape was visible within it, leaning against the wall and within an instant a gout of flame would release, close enough to them but stopped by a single wall of water, sizzling out of existence with the fire.

Not wasting a second, he would quickly draw all of the water within the room, and force it downwards to the floor, rushing along to catch the mans legs, before rising up to encapsulate him, before freezing instantly. No time to react really, and within the ice they seemingly could not use their power. ”Okay, I think I beat them.” He said with a calm nod. "Thanks for the help." He said with a small smile.

The fight was over finally and the water or ice or maybe both meta had finished it. She walked closer to him and shifted back to her human form in an instant, a tired smile and her good hand holding the hand she had punched the fire meta with only no burn marks, just inner pain. "Really, if I was alone I would have been taken down easily." She said to him as she looked around. The other hostages had already left not wanting to stick around for the fight and the pyros co-workers had ran when the two metas fought the pyro.

"Names effigy or at least thats a code name I guess. You?" She tod and asked him. Liking to know a little more about the scrawny looking meta. He was taller had more weight possibly but Bella was far more stronger then him with her build compared to his.

Okay, so it seemed they had stopped the crime of the day, much to the pleasure of Ryan anyway. With the villain taken down, and overall the hostages out, that meant he could get to doing whatever he was doing before that. ”Oh, my code name thing is Deluge, nice to meetcha.” he said extending a hand to shake hers. Sure any normal people would have been hesitant about shaking her hand, but then again Ryan was a painfully trusting type. ”I...think we should get out of here. Cops might wanna pick the guy up or whatever.” He noted shrugging, and sort of making his way off of the scene.

She accepted the handshake and thought about his name. Deluge. She never heard of the word but she knew the Deluge packed a serious control of water. "Yea we should let the cops deal with him."She said as she followed him away from the bank. Now she didn't know what she was going to do. She could follow Deluge and seem like a stalker, she could attack him or she could just walk with him if he wasn't busy or anything.

"So Deluge, as a possible hero. Any chance you could let a shape shifting girl hang with yea. I just got here and don't really have anything or anyone else to go to so yea." She asked and told him while thinking about a possible chance for an Bed. One with a mattress and blankets would serve her well.

Once all of the heroics were done with, Ryan would want to make as much distance between him and the cops as possible. The strange shapeshifting girl was with him one that, so they were both moving away from the scene. ”Well, I work with some heroes around here. We're called prodigy, and...well I think we could have more people workin with us.” He wasn't really sure of what she was asking, but it seemed like their little group could do with more members. He could bring her to the Prodigy base, which had some rooms if she needed a place to lay down, and the kitchen was awesome. Maybe Silus could cook them something, he was a pretty good cook after all. ”We could probably like stop by our base if ya want.”

Bella almost gasped at his words. Her eyes a little wide. A hero group? She thought it over and over again in her mind. All the fights, the two with the fire users she had ability users with her and while she dished out damage and took it they dished out even more from afar but the one with the red energy man that killed her brother she was alone and even as a werewolf she didn't stand a chance.

She saw this as a chance to start over too. Maybe forget Alex and be human once again, also having some friends would be great. "If the base has a pool I will stay a while." Bella decided to joke but the answer was clear in her words. Yes she wanted to stay and rest and meet other heros. "That would be nice. Thanks Deluge." She finished as she followed him, hearing sirens back at the place they were moments before.

Ryan could tell the girl liked the sound of what he was saying, if only by the way her face changed upon hearing something about the hero group that he was working with. True, Ryan had not been expecting to bring someone along with him to the base, but then again things tended to go differently than he expected a lot, so Ryan tried not to make too many assumptions about how things would go. ”Yeah, the base has a huuuuuuuuge pool.” Ryan said with an almost childlike wonder, stretching out the u in huge and extending both arms outwards as if to emphasize how large the pool was. He remembered why he did love the base anyway, because it was his new home, and a nice one at that. Okay, he was excited a little, if only to show off the base that he sort of called his home, with all of the cool stuff there and whatnot. First however, that required that he got there, which would be annoying with all of the walking that he would have to get there.

Luckily there was one thing about his power that Ryan had learned to control, which was the whole teleporting thing. Usually he kept a sheet of ice near the base, and so long as he kept it up, it would stay there for around....more than a day anyway. So stepping off to a place where no one but Bella would see it, Ryan formed a thin sheet of ice along the wall. ”Okay, we're gonna take a shortcut there. You're gonna have to hold my hand for this one, don't want you to get lost.” He said that, pressing the fingertips of his right hand against the glass surface, as they sunk through it almost like water. His other hand would extend towards her as if offering it, hoping that she had an idea of what he was doing.
