The Legacy

Personality: Quirky and friendly by nature, Dongwook just enjoys the company of others. He tends to make loud gestures to try and capture attention, and can get sulky if people deliberately ignore him. Keeping him occupied is the best way to have him leave you alone, since he prefers to have something to do than simply languishing around. Due to difficulty communicating with others, he usually comes off as standoffish to strangers when all he wants to do is try to explain his stance. He’s also incredibly (unnecessarily) snarky from being suppressed in terms of communication, and tends to seem unsympathetic. Dongwook is in fact searching for answers for what happened to him, usually shedding his usual friendly air in favor of something much more serious when the topic comes up. He’s also finicky and stubborn, as well as having a penchant of matchmaking his friends together.

History: A jetsetting hotelier close to Gwangseob, an eccentric scientist, Dongwook met with a mysterious accident while working in China and became a mute. His friend Dahee decided to let Gwangseob take over the responsibility of taking care of Dongwook while he conducted research into the study of Dongwook’s recovery. Even though Gwangseob was anything but a friendly guardian, Dongwook developed an eager, happy personality as a counterbalance. Dongwook also has amnesia to a certain degree, being unable to remember what happened during the accident and why he had even traveled to China in the first place. With that, Dongwook also developed the ability of sign language due to being mute.

How he obtained his powers of becoming liquid mercury was an 'accident' by Gwangseob. The scientist had wanted to accelerate the recovery process of his friend, and Dongwook became the unfortunate guinea pig of a serum to allow his brain to heal faster. It worked too well- the metallic structure of the serum would mutate Dongwook's genes to such an extent that his cells would be replaced by mercury atoms- while he maintained a largely human appearance, his body was able to do the unthinkable.

The Powers

Power 1: Mercury Mimicry. This generally is self-explanatory: Dongwook can turn into a puddle of mercury at will. As far as possible, this leaves him largely impervious to damage, with no blood group and a poisonous touch which he can turn on and off at will.

Power 2: Weapon Construction: Due to his (squishy) construct Dongwook can project blades from his body or create a shield, etc. The more complex the weapon, the smaller he gets as more mercury is needed to construct a gun as compared to say, a knife or just a blade.

The poisonous touch will likely only affect users that are in the human-range of durability while actually forming weapons, etc, will do damage to anyone within the same range of durability that your ability bar is marked at; so 8 would be a tough match, seven would be a tiny bit weaker, etc etc.

Other than that bit about your powers, you have 29 points spent. The first point in wealth is free, and you have an additional point in there.

So, if you want, you could place that last point into Fighting Skills so that your character is a bit more skilled with hand to hand combat and etc.

@Chellizard Yeah, I 500% get that. It's more of discussing the effects of mercury in general that gets me to this- I never once insinuate that it'll affect everyone.
