The Pain of a True Hero...

As Alruna latched herself onto Pain, he breathed deeply through his nose, then exhaled in the same manner...There was so much he wanted to say, and wanted ask...But he knew he would never get the answers he wanted...He just wasn't naive enough to believe in a happy ending, because this isn't some cheap fairytale...This was reality...He had tasted the cold steel of his life crashing down before him, because that is reality...At least his...Despite how he felt, he had to do something for himself...He had to enjoy his love one final time before it slipped from his hands...Even if it were only for a few moments...In those few moments he would be happy..."I'm sorry Alruna...For everything..." He hadn't been the perfect guy to her either, he felt guilty for the many times he had neglected her or acted as if he never wanted her around, even though he felt the exact opposite...Every moment with her was great, they were the few moments he actually felt alive...He couldn't help it...It was apart of who he was...

Alruna continued to cry, but managed to speak out.
"No. I'm sorry....."
Alruna used her powers to restore Pain's feeling, as she held her head against his back as she hugged him.

((OOC: BTW, You DO know that there is actually a pretty good chance Alruna might end up with Pain after all, right? ))

"Don't...Let me be the way I was born...The way Pain was born...I can still feel you..." Pain looked down at his right hand with an menacing stare...Sometimes he hated the skin he was in, but ultimately he knew he couldn't be selfish..."Barely...But it's still enough to know I'm alive..." He turned around to face her out of her grasp as he looked down at her with his piercing light blue eyes...He placed his right giant muscular hand onto her shoulder and smirked at her, giving her a smile that very few have seen..."Thank you Alruna...You've helped me become the man I am today...You've shown me that there is always a light in the darkness..." These words were unlike Pain, soft and delicate...But coming from a giant man with a deep, raspy, and extremely intimidating voice...It was truly a sight to behold...

Pain's eyes moved away from Alruna's, turning to the ground as her tried to gather the courage to say the words he had been holding back for a long time now...The words that he was afraid to say to anyone, because everyone he loved...Was gone..."I..." His head slightly turned to the right, his vision moving along with him. "I..." He raised his head back up, looking her dead in the eyes as he spoke..."I love you...I love you Alruna..."

With out another word he brought his left hand onto her cheek, his fingers wrapping around the back of her head, softly grabbing her hair as he pulled her in closer...His lips met hers in a passionate kiss.

Pain moved his right hand to her waist, holding her gently there as he continued to passionately kiss Alruna...It was a great feeling, he was enjoying himself for once, even if it were to be their last night together....

Pain pulled away from their kiss only to stare at her in the eyes..."I love you...But I can't be with you...Your heart belongs to another..."

"One night isn't enough to win me over...But it's enough for now..." He pulled her back in and kissed her more.

He picked her up with his left arm very easily, letting her legs wrap around him...
