The Looks

As Erin: Erin is relatively short, and small in stature. She has blonde hair and keeps around shoulder length. She is of Caucasian descent and has green eyes. Erin has a passion for fashion, and keeps herself wearing the newest styles. As a young girl, this was accomplished through stealing from shops, whereas now, she will window shop and conjure her own clothing. Her appearance is always immaculate, now aided by her abilities to alter her appearance.

As Jade: As Jade, Erin wears a gold tiara, in the style of Wonder Woman, substituting an emerald for the red star. She wears a form-fitting jumpsuit that is predominantly black/dark gray, with green and yellow accents on the chest and shoulders. ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]). A Dragon logo, similar to that here ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]) is located in the center of her chest. Erin optionally wears green gloves with yellow accents, that go halfway to her elbows, or golden bracelets with finger rings similar in style to this ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]). Erin wears green boots with yellow accents.

The Legacy

Personality:
Growing up poor, Erin strives to project success and wealth, which she does by dressing fashionably with the latest styles. She is vain, but she is confident in herself, and generally carefree.

History:
Erin grew up poor in the suburbs surrounding New York City, and her name was not Erin, but Sarah Williams. The differences between Erin and Sarah do not stop at the name, for Sarah had brown hair and blue eyes as well. Her parents struggled to provide for her and her family and it was tough to keep up with the neighbors, many of whom had successful jobs in the city. Sarah felt pressure at school to fit in, but she couldn't afford to wear the same clothes as everyone else, so she turned to crime.

The items she stole started small, a T-shirt from the popular store at the time, but gradually increased. In high school, she was only caught once, trying to steal a handbag. Sarah was still a minor at the time, and she completed community service, vowing to stop her thievery.

Sarah received a scholarship to play soccer at the University of Toronto, where her impressive speed served her well. Her family wished her well as they sent her off to school. That fall was the last time she saw her parents. She didn't return home for breaks and vacations, because she didn't have the money to return, and her parents didn't have the money to visit either. She did promise to stop on her way home from Mexico, which she was visiting during spring break.

Sarah was really enjoying her trip to Cancun, for nearly everyone there was a college student, and nearly every college student was poor. For once, she felt like she belonged somewhere. But, not everyone was poor. And it was on Sarah's fourth day in Cancun where she first saw Erin. Erin was wealthy, of that there was no denying. Everyone else on the beach was wearing fake, plastic wayfarers, but Erin, she was wearing real Ray Bans - and polarized ones no less!

With her scholarship taking care of school, and the community service fresh in her mind, Sarah hadn't stolen anything in month, but as the blonde girl named Erin flaunted her superiority with a coy smile at the bartender, Sarah decided Erin could part with a few of her belongings and wouldn't miss them.

Sarah walked over to meet Erin, and had to force herself past a couple of men, to approach her before she could say, "You look familiar! I could have sworn I've seen you walking on the Quad!" Erin already had a few margaritas, and soon it was simple enough to get Erin to volunteer information and regurgitate it back to cast the illusion that Sarah and Erin went to the same school and even were in the same dorm, although on different floors.

Erin bought Sarah a few of the margaritas she was drinking and it wasn't long before Sarah got Erin to invite her to a party that was going on that night. Sarah followed Erin to her hotel, and while Erin was using the mirror in the bathroom, Sarah went to work, rummaging through her items. Of course, being Cancun in spring, Erin had mostly packed bathing suits, but she did bring an iPad and had a hefty amount of cash in a second pocketbook. It was when Sarah was looting Erin's pocketbook that she returned from the bathroom and saw the scheme for what it was.

Erin jumped on Sarah and hit her. Sarah was stronger and with her adrenaline pumping she shoved Erin off of her and against a wall, but when she did, it was as if green flames had erupted from her hands and engulfed Erin. Sarah didn't know what to do as Erin screamed. The brunette ripped the sheets from the bed and attempted to smother the flames, but eventually the screams stopped and Sarah could do nothing but sit on the edge of the bed and wonder what had happened.

Before Sarah could decide, a man knocked down the door and introduced himself as Doctor Robert Bacall. With very few words, the Doctor grabbed the Sarah, Erin's lifeless body, and a few other items from the room and brought them to a car that was waiting outside.

The Doctor explained that Sarah was gifted with magic, and he could train her how to use (and control) it. Sarah agreed, but the doctor explained that she would need to stay in Mexico to be trained, and therefore, her current identity would need to go missing indefinitely. The Doctor explained she would have to choose a new name, and he could change her appearance. Sarah requested to look like Erin, the beautiful girl who seemed to have it all. She became Erin Bacall and lived as the Doctor's daughter.

After about a year, the Doctor brought home another girl who found herself in a similar predicament who became Melanie. The Doctor trained Erin and Melanie to hone their powers over the course of the next three years. During that time New York was destroyed, and Erin's original family presumed dead. Erin finds it difficult to imagine herself as Sarah, and now that she can also alter her appearance, she has tried to recreate her old image, but never seems to get it just right. Sarah's face has been forgotten by time, while Erin has grown more confident in her new body.

Once approved, Erin will find herself in Mexico facing off against Melanie after Melanie has killed the Doctor. This will be a closed/solo RP to further flesh out Erin's character and explain why she is suddenly coming on the superhero scene now.

The Powers

Power 1: Teleportation (AB 3): Erin can teleport to places she has been before as long as she is calm. The more familiar she is with the place she is teleporting, the better chances she has of arriving their safely. This teleportation is limited to approximately 100 miles. In the midst of battle she can teleport short distances (20 feet or less) to remove herself from harms way, but cannot do this repeatedly.

Power 2: Alter Appearance: Erin can alter her appearance at will to disguise herself as any other human. However, her overall height can only increase/decrease by 3 inches, and her weight can only increase/decrease by 20 lbs. Any clothing she is wearing will remain on her body. Alterations do not affect Erin's power grid.

Basic Spells
Detection: Erin can sense everything going on around her, 360 degrees within 50 feet. These senses can detect people through walls and obstacles, although the details will be limited. Alternatively, Erin can focus her senses to a 90 degree region, but her senses can extend 100 feet. (Must be actively focusing to detect, no cool down)
Conjuration: Erin can conjure small inanimate objects. Examples include conjuration of clothing following use of the Alter Appearance, small daggers, small amounts of cash, generally items weighing less than 5 lbs. Conjured items persist indefinitely. (No cool down)

Low Spells
Illusion: Erin can create an illusion of a person, or a person-sized object. (1-2 post duration, 2x cool down)
Paralysis: Erin can cause temporary paralysis in an opponent close enough for her to touch. The paralysis persists for 2 posts if Erin manages to touch bare skin, 1 post if she touches clothing/armor. (1-2 post duration, 2x cool down).

Medium Spells
Telekenesis: Erin can lift and manipulate objects weighing approximately a ton. The object generally must be within 100 feet. (1-3 post duration, 3x cool down) Alternatively, a single object weighing 10 lbs or less may be manipulated. (1 post duration, no cool down)
Fireball: Erin can emit a powerful, green bursts of fire as a ranged attack on targets within 200 feet. (1 post duration, 3x cool down). Optionally, Erin may emit weaker (Basic level) fire against inanimate objects (1 post duration, no cool down)

This is all pretty much good! The only thing is you don't have any points allocated to the shapeshifting ability, whereas for the type you've described you would need 3 points. other than that though it's all good!

Although, using Transformation as an RP mechanic to just Alter appearance but not your stats doesn't cost anything.

Should I have referred to it as an RP mechanic rather than a "power"? My description about weight and height was meant to limit the power, so I can't attempt to blend into the crowd as a three foot tall child, or something similar. The intent was simply to alter the appearance in the fashion described in the quoted section.
Let me know if a I'll need to refer to it as an RP mechanic and I'll make the edit! Very Happy
