Space Pirates and Space Cops

"Oh hi there!"

Jason gave a big grin to Xiao as she showed up on his interceptor. He was about to nuke the thing but she had gotten him free so that was what mattered. Jason rolled as soon as he hit the deck, coming to his feet in a crouched position. He rose up dusting himself off.

"Thanks for that, I saw a dragon and I couldn't help myself. One thing led to another and I was to far high in the sky for comfort."

Jason looked up from dusting himself off when Xiao cut off from taliking. She was walking to the lobster man kinda funnily. He didn't like it one bit, something felt off.

"Dragon girl... what...? Oh shit!"

Dragon girl started to tear into the lobster man with frightening ease. He knew she was strong and tough, but it was news to the lobster man. Jason only had second to act before she popped the poor suckers head off of his neck. He Jason launched himself at Xiao, trying to tackle her from the back. She was stronger then him though and it probably wouldn't work. Jason needed to break through to her by talking.

"Dragon! Listen to me, we do not kill. Its the one rule we can't break! Come onnnnnnn break out of it already. No matter what, we. Don't. Kill."

Jason struggled against her, trying to save the lobster. He didn't really know why she was doing this, but in the end it didn't matter. The Knightwatch do not kill.

“Stop! That is no lobsterman of the Genevaders! Xiaolongnu!” The Frost Dragon perched ontop of the ship, blowing a quick frosty breath to coat Xiao in a layer of frost.

His tackle proved about as useful as tackling a main battle tank, feeling like slamming into a brick wall. But, it was Ace’s word against killing that caused the fury from Dragon Girl’s eyes to fade. The frost dragon also called her by name. Xiao let go of the lobster doctor and walked away, tears welling up in her eyes. She was ashamed of her actions, about to kill something out of blind racial prejudice.

The Lobster... breathed... relief, and grabbed a device from his ruined power armor. The translator came back to life as he commented. “...The female... so strong, my carapace is like wet paper to her grip! This would be fascinating... if we weren’t being hunted right now. Who are you human girl, and what do you know of the Genevaders?”

“They are here on earth, abducting metahumans for months. I keep fighting them wherever they show, but there are always those
who are taken.” She explained, as Xiao’s gaze went up Long Fang, suddenly curious how he knew her name.

“Well... that only compounds our problems then. Rest assured though, I am nothing like the mindless lobsters among their ranks. But, we have to get to shore now. With the Interceptors defeated, I can imagine he... will take more drastic measures.” The Doctor said, getting himself into a space wheelchair assembled from the remains of his suit.

“I’ll... I’ll go tow the ship.” Xiao offered, getting off her bum. But just then, the sky above them broke open as a large space vessel with lights all over it descended, maintaining altitude. Given the dozens more of Interceptors hanging on, it was no doubt a Carrier.

Long Fang looked up at the vessel. “I’m afraid it’s too late for that now...” A massive beam of light came down from the ship and stopped the ship in its tracks, as all around them materialized a dark metal platform that stretched two hundred meters on all sides, the Sailing Ship encased in the center.

“ENOUGH WITH THESE NUISANCES! THE LAW OF THE EMPIRE WILL NOT BE DENIED!” A booming voice came as a singular armoured figure was teleported onto the platform.

“Is that... an armoured bear?” Xiao asked, pointing out the rather obvious of a massive bear like creature in foreboding dark armor, wearing a grim helm and carrying a large staff.

“That is the Imperial Justiciar, Severus Ursus. Ten thousand convictions, ten thousand death sentences.” Long Fang said with a disdain, making his way to the front of the ship, putting himself between Severus and the ship.

“ALL INVOLVED WILL BE HELD. SURRENDER NOW ALL YE WHO DWELL UPON THE SHIP, INCLUDING THE THREE INTERFERING EARTH PUPS. OR BE TAKEN BY FORCE.” He roared again, meaning business.

“Dragon Girl, Fire starter. Get your lightning friend in the ship and get out of here.” Long Fang said in a most urgent tone to the earth heroes.

“...I really don’t see why they can’t be reasoned with. If they’re some kind of police, maybe if we talked to him?” Xiao suggested.

RAIKOU

“Oh boy.” The Hamster said, peering out one particularly large hole in the hull and observing the Space Judge who came by. He turned to Raikou. “Ye best get out of here lad while you can...” He said. The female halteded her ice creation and let out a tirade in an alien language, banging her hand against the hull. She pulls out a Space gun and gets into an argument with the Hamster.

"I promised I would get your ship running so I will."

Alex grunted, he was putting a lot of his power into turning this ship back on. Though the display wasn't as grand as earlier, the amount of power he had already poured into the ship had been greater than what he had used in his entire blast of Kirin.

"Now...fucking...watch my back!"

"I CALL DIBS. DRAGON GIRL! I GET THE BIG ONE OKAY?!? LET'S GO!"

Jason smacked his fist into his hand as he grinned widely at the incoming man bear pig. Flames ignited on his body as Jason got excited. This was going to be one hell of a fight from the looks of it. And these guys wanted to retreat? Pffffffft.... as if. He was Ace, and he did not back down from a fight.

"I am sorry doc, I'm an earthling. We really don't know how to back down all that well."

Jason advanced on to the edge of the ship. He looked down at the platform, debating its material. If it was true metal, it would be a great conductor for heat of his fires. If he could heat up the thing hot enough, maybe he could make steam from the water below. Or burn the mans feet to a crisp just from standing on it. Ace crouched on the guardrail next to the doctor grinning at the man bear pig in an armor suit advancing on them. His arms hung loosely on his knees, flames covering his body.

"Hey you two dragons... get these people out of here. I'll distract him long enough."

Multiple orbs began floating around Ace. They were like tiny balls of fire floating beside him. No holding back on this guy. He even walked like some sort of powered up person. This would be a very very fun fight

“You are welcome to come and try, earthlings. But I warn you. Strike me down with your strongest blow... or I shall, without mercy, lay you low.” He opens his arms to take all their attacks.

“...So... it has come to this... no more running, no more hiding. To arms! To arms! Attack with all your might!” Long Fang leads the attack, strafing Severus with a massive frost breath, then flying around for a second blast as he could see the Ship’s systems restored.

Even as Ace walked towards the ominous armoured bear, the Ship’s systems came to life once more and its weapon systems as well. All around Raikou the gratuitous ammo feeding systems roared to life, and a barrage of cannon rounds pummels into the Imperial Judge. Clouds explode all around him and for close to a few minutes of continuous fire the ship guns expend their remaining ammunition. The barrels on the cannons glow with heat, and stop their rotation and the smoke clears...

“That is one very tough armoured bear.” Xiao commented, looking at the lobster doctor who went inside.

The Two cerebral members of the crew sat back on the ship and observed the Judge’s defense. The lobster man communicated remotely with his colleague. “Greese... are you seeing this?” The Lobster doctor hid inside the ship now and operated the deck's scanners.

“Aye I do, Doc... let me get on my computer.” The Space Hamster leaves Raikou with the female pirate to head to his workstation, powering up the alien computer. Those two were up to something it seems.

“Earthling! Fight? Will you? Running, I am tired of. Not afraid, I will show Imperials!” The girl finally addressed Raikou as she made an ice ramp for them to get down from the ship. It seemed more a request than a question. She slid down the ice slide toting an alien rifle, sprinting towards the alien Space Bear Judge that just survived firepower that could take out a battleship.

"Idiot girl...!"

Raikou yelled to himself as he took off after her. Stopping for a second at the hole with the ramp, he takes a look outside, and lets out an apathetic sigh. This was suppose to be an easy job after all, easy money. Now he had what looked like an all out death match between two opposing alien factions. Then again, he had always wanted to be a pirate as a kid, so maybe this wasn't that bad. He was getting ready to ride the ice ramp down and stop the idiot pirate girl, when he noticed a bright flame from the corner of his eyes. When the realization hit him, his eyes drew into a tight scowl.

"PYRO!"

He yelled, charging lightning all over his body. He could attack now, he was distracted, it would be almost too easy, but something stopped him. Turning his head, he saw the girl approaching the object the ship had been firing upon, the giant armored bear. Sighing, he quickly jumped towards the ramp, riding it down he began to lean forward to gain speed while charging up lightning in his hands. As he reached then end of the ramp, he pushed himself off hard, giving himself a boosted jump. Releasing the energy stored in his palm, he fired it at the middle of the bear's chest, not really to cause damage, though it was near his full power, but to create a shockwave. However, he kept a single strand of lightning connected to the burst, draining the energy from the end of the shockwave that cat girl was on so that the blow was weakened enough to knock her back, away from the bear and harm, allowing Alex to catch her before he hit the ground.

"Sparkles? The hell is he doing here.

Ace muttered more to himself then anyone else. It took him a second, but this must have been the lightning 'friend' that the lobster doctor was talking about. Things made more sense now. That must have been how the ship had lost its power. Did sparkles just short it out or did he absorb it? Guess it didn't really matter in the end.

Ace lost that train of thought as he saw someone sprinting at the armored bear. Oh shit that was not good. Sparkles had it pretty much handled though as he moved to blast the bear and rescue the girl. Good, since Ace hated hostage situations. Ace immediately reversed direction and jumped back on to the ship. He grabbed one of the orbs floating around him and compressed it into his left hand. Bracing himself in his fighting stance, Ace punched forward, unleashing a massive torrent at the Bear. Unlike most of his blasts, this one was sustained. Ace didn't quite know what the hell this guy was packing, but if he could withstand all that gun fire and shrug it off, best not to hold back.

"USE THE GROUND! ITS SOME SORT OF METAL!"

Ace yelled out to sparkles. He didn't even know if the metal conducted lightning, but if it did it would be an amazing advantage.

"Dragon, get these people out of here!"

Ace called out to xiao. These guys needed to scatter now. He couldn't follow all of them... probably.

The suited up space pirate lady was going to cast some kind of spell, but it seemed someone seemed fit to knock her out instead. The shock of the lightning bolt drove Kitiara back, sending her sprawling, and her helmet coming off. She was revealed as the white haired, pointy eared female catgirl alien that she was. The attack knocked her out momentarily.

The Space Judge’s armor lit up as the massive energy blasts connected with him. The bear roared in pain, as fire and lightning enveloped his large form and caused another explosion. Once the smoke cleared though, the Bear was on his knees, but unharmed. He slowly got up, his body smoking; his jaw locked into a snarl, and looked about.

The Bear waved his staff in the flying dragon’s direction. The metal platform they were standing on became animate, and formed large metal claws encaged the frost dragon, grounding him in a massive cage that slowly shrank to envelop his form. Manacles encased his limbs, and the frost dragon was detained. He then turned his attention to the three elementalists before him.

“Now to deal with the pups.” A hexagonal piece of the platform slowly rose and carried the bear aloft, flying towards Ace first. He had his staff aimed.

“This entire platform is his weapon...” Xiao observed, looking down at the dark metal all around them. She turned towards the Lobster scientist working on the scanners inside the bridge. “Yes that’s quite the observation. I think... there’s an external power source helping him. Mighty one, you must hold him off! Fire starter; get your lightning friend up here! His power is important!” The lobster doctor called out to Ace and Xiao, having a better solution than simply wasting one’s energy blasts against an invulnerable enemy.

“Got it.” Xiao leapt into action to meet the bear Judge, landing on his ample floating platform to deliver one of her supreme punches; the Bear proved nimble and countered with blows from his staff, knocking Xiao off the platform.

She lands heavily on the metal, rather unharmed. She persisted in her attack. “I’m not done yet!” Xiao leapt up again, proving to be a persistent distraction, keeping the Bear from reaching Ace with cruel intentions.

"Well, I'll be damned. She's kinda cute."

Alex said aloud as he held the unconscious pirate in his arms. In his head, he immediately said 'dibs', not really knowing why, but it felt right. Turning, he saw the giant dragon becoming captured, and let out a small moan. A dragon would have been a great help right now, even if it wasn't one of the cool fire breathing ones. Carrying the weight of the girl, he headed back towards the ship, and towards the pyro. Though it would have to wait, one day he would fight that canadian bastard again, regardless of it the other man wanted to or not.

"Just hold on..I'll get you back to your ship.."

Alex muttered to the girl, though for what reason he knew not. She was unconscious, it was not like she would be able to hear him. Thankfully for the lightning bug, the ship had many holes, which he could use to jump from foot hold to foot hold, allowing him to climb the ship with more ease than he would have expected. He landed atop the ships surface in a crouched position, near Jason, looking very much like the hero he was not.

"I'ma little fucking busy doc!"

Ace began pounding flames at the incoming metal column, trying to force it away before it crashed into the ship. Luckly Xiao managed to intervene before things got to hairy. And then sparkles came on to the ship all by himself.

"Oh see? Easy, he is right here."

"Dragon girl!!! DRaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggoooooooooon girlllllllllllllllllllllllll, dont you dare beat him! I got dibs, you here me??"

Jason cupped both hands to his mouth as he called out to Xiao. He would be so mad if she took out his opponent. Thats just stealing a kill really. But he knew she was really just buying time for the rest of them. Rubbing his hands together, Ace generated some friction that turned into a lot of fire. He slapped his hands on the metal ground, sending out two thin streams along it. They raced towards Xiao and the bear. One formed a circle close by the two and broke out into a large pillar. The second one was a much larger circle that also went up in a pillar. The flames on the inner circle weren't hot, but were creating an updraft of wind that made it a lot tougher to get out of the circle. The Second column was pretty much the same. They needed time and Ace was confident that dragon girl could tough it out for a bit. This would be an excellent distraction against the man as it helped block the view.

He backed up a bit as he stared at the carrier. Screw the man bear pig, he was going to take out that! Biggest target equals the most fun. Ace began plopping orb after orb on the ground, a huge grin on his face, practically ear to ear. Ace was enjoying this entire day so far.

"Man, I hope we survive this explosion, cause its going to be one hell of a ride."

“Wait fire starter! There’s...” The lobsterman paused, reconsidering his words based on Ace’s personality. “...There’s an easier way to take out the Carrier. I believe you and the lightning user can bring it down with conventional attacks, but that will cost us precious time.”

Xiao was being outclassed by the Bear, it was plain to see. Her Shaolin Kung Fu was no match against Space Law Bear’s Space Fu. Compared to the graceful movements of the large creature, Xiao looked like a drunken ape swinging wildly. The bear grabs Xiao by the head and smashes her face against a wall that materialized from the metal platform repeatedly, and then body slams her.
“But if we can get you inside the Carrier, you may be able to overcome the Justiciar’s impregnable defense as well. His technology require a large amount of power, and I daresay it’s on the ship. Fire and Lightning will bring it down from the inside... and the resistance you’ll face there will likely be more manageable than him.”

The bear was smashing Xiao back and forth, holding her by a leg, using the fire Ace conjured to injure Xiao, seeing as he was somewhat lacking in the damage output.

“Though... I wish we had a way to get you up there.”

It was at that point Xiao finally turned into her dragon form, scales of sleek black darkness, her furious roar trembling the Platform and the ship. “That’ll do! Tell your friend to bring deliver you to the ship and look for... something big, glowing and surrounded by bears.” The lobster doctor had experience talking to simple primitives.

Long Fang in his human form also appeared to aid Xiao, wielding ice magic and daring pluck to engage the Bear. Xiao meanwhile used her deadlier form to simply bludgeon the Bear with her sheer size.

"Friend? Help? What the fuck do you expect from me Lobsterman?"

Alex said angrily as he carried the unconscious cat girl towards the group. Lightning crackled over him gently as he moved, giving the ship, and his path, an eerie blue glow.

"I don't know what you think I am, but I am no hero. I did my job, I got your ship back online. Why should I help you any farther? Better yet, why would I work with this...flaming..is..is that leather? Why are you wearing leather? I always thought Canadians were a bit fruity but...that doesn't matter."

Motioning to his chest with his head, Alex points out a medium sized red scar that ran diagonally across the middle of it.

"This pyro here gave me this scar, and I very much need to repay him for it. Unless you can think of a damn good reason for me to stay, I'm out of here, and you idiots can think of a way to fight that ship alone.""

"OKAY... JUST SO WE ARE CLEAR... I get the ship. That ship is now my ship."

Ace spoke to no one in particular as he began shoving on the flames. He was compressing them so much that the floor was buckling underneath the pressure. He gave the doctor a crazy grin matched by a shine in his eyes that was down right frightening. Ace wasn't afraid of death looming over them nor how much was riding on the line. He was having way to much fun with this.

"Okay, ride Dragon girl up to ship, comendeer ship, blow up things that glow, got it."

He started rubbing his hands together to generate more friction as he started walking towards Xiao. He grinned over at Rai

"Oh come on, I'm going up on the big ship and you're not? That makes you just plain chicken ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD........ it counts as another win in my column. Whats the score already? 87 me- 2 you right? Don't wanna drop behind to much now do you."

Ace broke off into a laugh as he sprinted after Xiao. He didn't know if Rai would follow, but Ace knew they were both competitive spirits. Neither of them would stand the thought of losing to each other. With enough heat generated, Ace threw out a small bomb of fire at the man bear pigs face only to have it explode violently. It might hurt him a bit, but Ace just needed a distraction as he tried to run up Dragon girls back

"I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN HERE ME MATE, BUT WE NEED TO GET UP THERE! BAD BATTLE CRUISER! SICK CRUISER!"

Ace had no idea how much  Xiao could really here so best act like he was talking to a large dog that could bite him in half. And fly. That was the more important part.

GET TO THE CARRIER!
“Simple, earthling. That judge... he will likely sentence you to death if he doesn’t take you to a court world outside the solar system. That you did not bother to aid their cause means you are against them, and the Empire does not show mercy easily." The lobsterman explained to Raikou the gravity of the situation.

Xiao in dragon form lashed out with her claws, wings, teeth and tail as she fought the surprisingly limber Space bear. He struck Xiao with his weapon which crackled with arcane energies, though the armament did little to deter the dragon. She didn’t quite hear Ace over the sound of her ear splitting roars and rampage, but Long Fang in his human form proved proficient at speaking to large angry dragons. A large wall of ice sprang up from the platform to get Xiao’s attention, as well as dividing the dragon from the bear.

“Dragon! Go! There isn’t much point in trying to overcome his defences. I will use my power to slow him down.” He said, facing down the recovering Judge alone but wielding considerable magic. “Brave to face me alone, rebel.”

"I am no rebel! I fight for all our sakes!" And with that they continue their battle.

Dragon Xiao growled under her breath for a moment before turning her very angry gaze to Ace. She lowers her head briefly to him ride ontop of her neck, which was arguably the least spiky part of her. Sitting anywhere else would likely result in several new holes in one’s posterior. She swoops back to the ship to fetch Raikou if he proved cooperative, then they’d be off towards the Carrier. With most of its interceptors damaged, its few onboard laser guns would attempt to shoot Xiao down before they reached the hangar doors...

Meanwhile the girl finally began to recover and saw the battle between the Judge and the space asian. “Judge! Long Fang alone fights!” she exclaimed, watching the fight at the ship’s railings. She felt a pang of terror as each of his ice constructs and frost blasts were knocked aside by the Imperial’s staff, her mentor slowly worn down by the might of Imperial technology.

“Child, You must help the earthlings take out the carrier. You can still catch up.” The lobster suggested, pointing to the dragon in flight.

“No! Help! Long Fang, I will! Stupid, Earthling with lightning is!” she cussed readily, once again joining the fight with the bear.

“Bah, children.” The lobsterman guffawed and went back inside the ship.

Alex grunted, staring down the large dragon in front of him. If he helped them, he would be helping the one person he had a vendetta against. If he didn't help them, however, he would be forced to fight a large...space..bear.. alone. Letting out an apathetic sigh, he rubbed his hand over his face once, unable to believe in a few short hours this was what his life had become. Something out of a super hero comic, or a very Americanized shonen manga.

"Stupid, Earthling with lightning is."

Turning his head back, he noticed the cat girl was now awake. Good, that means he was able to gauge his power correctly and didn't end up killing the girl. Either that, or she was far more durable that any human he had encountered. The insult stung a bit, though, he had no idea why. He had been insulted many times before, and never felt anything. He must have been tired from the multiple uses of a full powered Kirin in one day, ya, that had to be it. Or at least, that's what he told himself. Regardless, he knew what he had to do, even though he would hate every second of it. At least, externally. Internally he was giddy to finally live out a child hood dream of riding a dragon, on top of that, he was getting to fight pirates. The only way today could get any better, is if he also got paid extra for this stupid piece of technology that he acquired.

"Alright Pyro, I'm gonna help you. This doesn't make us friends though, I still have every intention of killing you and frying the skin from your flesh later. Also, I get to keep score from now on, I think all the fire fried your brain and you forgot how to count."

As Alex spoke, he began to climb onto Xiao, being careful not to use the arm he had injured earlier. When he got on top, he flared out with his lightning, creating and maintaining a small barrier of electricity around them. The barrier would stop most attacks from hitting the dragon as they flew, and he made sure to make it wide enough that she could fully extend her wings. It would also give her more diving force against anything she needed to attack, just incase.

"Make sure I don't fall while I maintain the barrier, I hope I can count on you for this if we're going to work together Pyro."

Ace quickly scrammbled up Xiao's head, nearly stepping on her eye, to get on the back of her neck. He plopped down right on the back of her neck. He nearly got spikes in places where no spikes should ever go, but he didn't really care cause...

"I'M RIDING A DRAGONNNNNNNNNNNNN, MA IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW! FUCK YEAAAAAAA, LETS GO DRAGONS!!!!! LET'S GO LETS GO LETS GOOOOOO"

Ace was more then a little excited that he was finally getting to ride a dragon into battle. Those old stories his mom had told him now made even more sense! Fuck yea, good guys riding dragons equals hero no matter what else happens. He turned and looked over his shoulder at Rai, giving him a slightly puzzled frown after the man got on.

"Sparkles you are never keeping score. Bad guys cheat"

Not the whole frying your skin deal, no just the score. Life was simple for Ace most of the time.

He turned back to the ship, nearly bouncing around in his seat (bad idea cause of spikes), rather excited. He clapped his hands together, a wide grin on his face as flames gathered around his hands. He put one hand in front of him while drawing the other back as if to punch something.

"FIRE"

Ace punched forward at the hanger bay doors of the cruiser. The compressed flames he had been tossing down on the ship exploded out in a gigantic..

"FIST!"

The fire took the shape of Ace's fist, leaving a column of flames behind it as it arced up. Ace had put a lot into this punch, having been conserving his energy earlier in the fight. This was his full fledged power focused and honed to a gigantic fist of fire. Not exactly subtle, but he usually never was.
