Re: A cold day in hell [invite]
The masked goons spray the SWAT team with machine gun fire, the bullets flying wild but enough to make the officers hesitant and the negotiator back off several steps. Bernadette has enough, and goes from her hiding place and went somewhere else.
Closer enough, one could make out the off-microphone conversations on the Platform. The bound but not-gagged hostages plead with their captor. "Miss Green please let us go! We're just the engineers here!"
"SHUT UP!" Was all she retorted.
"PLease, please, please let me go! I'm sorry Debbie please I'll do anything you want! I'll... I'll get you your tour please!" The Record manager blurted out, begging for his life in tears.
"Go on..." Deborah said, her hand on her guitar pick, literally looking down on the man at the base of all her amplifiers.

Re: A cold day in hell [invite]
Citizens run in panic at the scene. But that panic becomes sheer terror in a matter of moments. A light pop in the distance soon turns to an eardrum splitting sonic boom. Something falls from the sky in a loud rumble as "Debbie" discusses her terms. Before it hits the ground, however, it stops on a dime, floating inches up from the pavement.
One of the henchmen hears the sound outside and turns to what remained of the door. "Was that us?"
"Don't think so," another one says.
The two thugs slowly make their way toward the door, only to suddenly be thrown back through it in a burst of rainbow light. Constellation floats there, her hand outstretched and emanating her trademark rainbow aura. "Good night," she says without the slightest inflection of amusement. Then she looks about the area for the cause of this destruction.

Re: A cold day in hell [invite]
The spray of gunfire from the thugs seemed to dissuade any of the swat officers from taking a step further, Ryan taking note of the guns and thinking over how to deal with them. He had no reason to help anyone, but it seemed that this woman would inconvenience even him if she was allowed to go on with her tirade, since she almost killed him with that thing of hers. So there was no running directly at her, though something told him that his liquid form would fare much better than his solid form. The male pressed his face up against the window, listening to everything that was going on, though mostly it was the people set infront of the speakers begging for their lives.
If seemed that the woman was planning to kill them with those weird speakers, yet how she planned to do that he could only guess. Well he did not have to think too hard on it as someone burst through the door with a great show of force, giving him the chance he needed to act. Within an instant water would begin to form into a shape around him, the rain lending its own power as it would shoot through the glass of the window like a tendril aimed to grab the female that was causing all of the trouble.

Re: A cold day in hell [invite]
Bernadette made her way to the back of the building and climbed in through the broken windows, shimmying along the exposed steel ceiling trusses of the high lobby. She slowly made her way towards them, quietly swinging from truss to truss until she could position herself over the Sound Tower. Seeing the girl arguing with her manager, Bernadette thought of the quickest way to take them down.
Then Connie comes in, catching everyone's attention. "NO!" The manager exclaimed, fearing he would now be killed utterly as Debbie would unleash another sound blast. Deborah was not amused.
"So, now we get superheroes! Why don't you just go aw- blub blub!" before she could play a lethal tune, the blonde teen popstar was enveloped in a tendril of water.
"...That'll work as any distraction." Bernadette shrugged and dropped down ten feet, using the force of gravity to fall into the middle of the platform, catching one goon by surprise and taking his light machine gun and smacking him in the face. Bernadette swings it around and clubs the other goon, sending him sprawling. His helmet flies off, revealing him to be just some chubby teenager in glasses. The DJ raises his hand in surrender. "Don't... don't shoot! we're just Debbie's fans!"
"Then you have bloody piss poor taste, miscreants! Blimey, how easy is it to get a machine gun in this country?" Bernadette unplugs Debbie's guitar from the Amps as well. The kids were now all disarmed. "Enough with the music! You're all going to Juve."
"Well... I suppose I should've expected some hero types to show up... too bad, the cops will probably clean up here." Bernadette remarked, knowing there was a hydrokinetic outside but not knowing who it was. She also turned to Connie and waved at her, her simple entrance providing the cover she needed. "Thanks to your entrance too, lass."
The police and paramedics promptly enter the building to do their usual work, thanking the good samaritan metahmans- and cyborg- for a speedy intervention. The manager is taken away on a stretcher and Bernadette unties the hostages.
"Er, Thank you miss Croix. I'll file a report to Miss Wong about this incident and-" One of the engineers said in a rather formal tone to Bernadette, drawing the Captain's ire.
"...Up yours, Jones! The hell are you talking like that for? It's still me, Bernadette! Were you expecting some narmy robotic voice, hmm?" Bernadette slaps him on the back, a gesture that she disliked what she was hearing from a distant colleague.
"Oh! oh. Sorry Captain. It's just... You... we thought... Ellie did something to you... more than just... bring you back." The Engineer said, getting himself out of his ropes.
"Yeah she did. Turned me into a science project and I'm betting my fannies she must have a remote somewhere."
"The Divas are talking to everyone in the company about it. Ellie's got her own people scared. A ton of my colleagues are thinking about resigning." He said in a nervous tone. The Captain's face turned sour. She wasn't the only one who had fears about their boss's need to control.
"Just... go home Jones, try to have a good rest." Bernadette said, unable to say more.
"You too Captain." Jones shakes hands with Bernadette, and follows the remaining hostages down.

Re: A cold day in hell [invite]
Connie floats there, watching as Debbie and her cohorts are escorted away by authorities. When officers thank her, she nods silently before acknowledging Bernadette. "I am always happy to be of any help I can," she says. When it has become apparent that she is no longer needed, she floats off to help people throughout the area, injured or pinned by the blast and debris. Many people need help getting to a hospital, and she can get them there faster than ambulances. Some, however, lie in bad condition. "Moving some of these people without the proper handling is inadvisable. For them, the ambulances will be the best way."
Re: A cold day in hell [invite]
It seemed that his interference had managed to help, instead of hurting in anyway actually. The blonde female that was causing all of the trouble was quickly subdued to the help of his own hydrokinetic help, drawing a small smirk on the lips of the young male. It was nice to know that he was able to help, even if he would not get the credit for his rather heroic assistance; not that he did it for the recognition in the first place. This gave the mechanical woman and the strange white haired lady all the time to deal with the rest, though everything had been done by the former rather than the latter, not that he could really do any kind of judging.
With the defeat of the angry pop star, Deluge slowly began to float around the area and waiting for Bernadette to emerge from the scene of the whole crime. She seemed to be walking with the rest of the hostages, as the rain continued to fall down upon them in that torrential fashion that it so enjoyed doing. ”So, you stopped the bad guys?” He would ask Bernadette appearing from seemingly nowhere, an inquisitive expression on his face as he watched the cosmic being dart around the block helping those that needed it.
Luckily he had managed to help without revealing his own metahuman nature, otherwise things would have gotten rather interesting. He did not need anyone learning more about him than he was willing to let out, which included the fact that he was some kind of super powered weirdo.

Re: A cold day in hell [invite]
"Not just me. There's always a few good ones in town willing to stop this bloody foolishness." She said off-casually as she saw Deluge show up, probably being a silent witness to events unfolding.
She pointed to the teenaged popstar, still drenched from the hydrokinetic attack, screaming profanities and threats of legal action against Bernadette, the radio station and the metahumans. She was especially rude and obscene to Connie for her involvement. "You better not be in town for much longer, freak! I'm gonna get out and you're gonna hear from me!" At which point the policemen were very quick to put her in the back of the police car. Given her aid, the police pay the metahuman little heed. The station manager also offered his thanks to Connie.
A large black van eventually drives up outside the building, and a group of women of assorted ages and races in assorted fashions disembark from it, jumping over police lines. It's as if no one respected the police around here.
"...Captain! Are you alright? We heard you left the hospital! Angry!" Another English lady, but much younger that Bernadette asked.
"Wow, Bernie's now a robot girl!" A japanese girl in glasses remarked, poking Bernadette's suit.
"We were very concerned Captain. You had all the girls worried. Ellie too. Please, return with us to the hospital. The Divas are all there and worried." A woman wearing an Islamic veil said.
"Huh... she is? Well... It was fairly selfish of me to run away... considering Ellie helped me and all..." She said, trailing off, still confused what to feel about her transformation.
"What passes for concern for Ellie. Who is your friend?" The woman asked about Deluge.
"This is, this is uh..." Bernadette points to Deluge, but realized she didn't get his name.

Re: A cold day in hell [invite]
Modesty was an interesting concept to place on the woman that seemed so crass as Bernadette but then again he knew almost nothing about the woman, it would be rude to judge based upon first impressions, but that was what he did. The female pop star was shouting something at them, or rather at the police, though Ryan paid them little mind as he simply walked along side Bernadette much like a lost pup or something like that. Well, he was lost and she was someone he knew, even if that knowledge was as scant as a name.
A large black van drove up to the female, a few others coming out from it and addressing her in a familiar tone, as if they knew the woman. Overall they were a strange bunch and one that he had never seen, however one could not say the small group was not diverse. Overall the theme of the conversation that had started was about the woman being robotic, something that he had not really made a point of talking about. Hazel eyes looked over all of the females that were chattering with Bernadette, a little curious himself as to who they were.
The rain began to pick up slightly, pelting him with its moisture. Maybe they were not affected by the rain but he could not quite say. Then attention came to him, the male looking around rather confused before looking to the one that had asked who he was. ’I’m….Ryan.” He noted outlpoud feeling as if he had said his name before but not really sure at that point. For all he knew he could have but the woman may have forgotten, people did that afterall. He was known for his forgetfulness, so there was no way he could judge anyone on that.

Re: A cold day in hell [invite]
The rain outside was relentless it seemed, but it did little to dampen the journalistic will of the media. The area was soon becoming crowded, with the flashes of cameras and questions about the heroes of the day.
"Alright this area's getting crowded. You want a ride to somewhere quiet, Ryan?" Bernadette asked Deluge.
Bernadette also waved at the metahuman girl standing outside, who was quickly gaining a following on the news cameras, reporters trying to get interviews out of her. "Oi, you can come along too if flying in this weather isn't for ya, lass. Plenty of room for oddball metas at our dorm."
"Ladies, get the car ready." Bernadette told her companions, who readily complied. Seemed she was their organization's leader or something.

"Miss, Miss!" One of the reporters shouts. "What do we call you?"
"I...you are referring to a name. I don't have-"
"Where did you come from?" Another reporter interrupts.
"Actually, I'm not entirely certain, but-"
"How do you feel about what went down today and would you have done anything differently?"
"Is that not more of a sports oriented question? Please excuse me." Connie asks as she lightly weaves her way through the crowd, only to be addressed by Bernadette. "No, the weather doesn't bother me." She hovers over to them. "You were the one who stopped the rowdy one, am I right? What use could you have for me? Do you need something?"
