The first of me [Silus]

”Yeah, I punched it a lot in the face, though it kept growling about gummy bears or something like that.” Shael said delving back into his story, not really paying attention to anything else other than what was asked of him, and remembering it just amused him. Fera was there however, and she had seen him beat up the poor unfortunate were wolf, until it was forced to run away and leave the male thinking himself some fort of invincible alpha wolf, though she was hoping that did not give him the illusions of claiming Yancey as his beta. If that were the case, Silus would be forced to beat up the poor deluded wolf, and she did not want to have to deal with healing the poor kid afterwards. ”Then I ate a deer and it was nice.” Shael added not skipping a beat as Michael rustled the young male’s hair and then just hummed to himself.

”Woah, calm down Brandon, we don’t need another person beating down the werewolf population.” Sean teased, though likely the joke would go over the males head; Shael cocked his head to the side confused by the joke, much like Sean expected. Michael on the other hand chuckled to himself, remembering how his dad had mentioned this Brandon he was talking about. Well, Sean was not expecting anyone to understand the joke but it was what it was. So the draconic male leaned into Zell and lightly poked him in the side with his tail, and then just started rocking from side to side.

”So is it true what that Ravioli guy said about daddy and uncle Shael? Like Fera said something about it, but I dunno if she was serious.” Michael paused for a moment, looking at his son strangely as if he had just rammed a knife into his gut.

Silus giggled at the mention of there being another Brandon running around. That's just about the last thing they needed, a dumb brick-boy running about. Silus should probably warn Matt, but that's another story altogether. Though it probably wouldn't hurt Shael too much. He and Yancey were the best of pals, and honestly he was probably going to have trouble with those two. Primarily because while Yancey knew and accepted the fact he was a Beta... Shael might try to claim Silus' pack. There were issues there, but nothing he couldn't handle when the time came. Silus himself however heard the comment little Shael made about Michael and his... interests.

    "Oh, wait it reminds me, I fou-" Silus a whimpering, which called his attention away. A very bloodied up Kaisses walked into the kitchen as he gimped, a black eye as he looked to Silus, tears forming in the wolven sockets. "K-Kaisses...oh no"

   "Oh yes. I hate you... so much...right now... be-because of you-" Kaisses began Jordan's loud voice sang through the other room. Kaisses' head shot back over his shoulder as he cocked his head to the side. "I'll never straaaay too far form the siiide waaaaalk!" Jordan continued in a singing voice. A pretty decent one, but nowhere near as good as Zell's, or Silus' (in his older form). The older Shael laughed a little as he began bobbing his head.

 "Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get Huuuu-uuuurt! Because of you I find it hard to trust, not only me but everyooooone around me! Because of Yooooooou...I am afraid." The duo of Shael and Jordan sand out through the house. The worst part? They weren't bag together. Shael kinda carried it, but that's beside the point. Silus' head turned to Michael with an arched eyebrow as if asking if he was really seeing this. Kaisses let out a snap, and it caused Shael to jerk back as the silver wolf bore fangs. Shael laughed with a growing smile, as if he actually didn't trust the wolf. The wolf quickly turned it's attention back to Silus.

"No, because of YOU, I'm ordered not to hurt your family members... So here's this little obnoxious brat who runs up and takes my favorite hat and my damn gummy worms and gets onto the bus. I take my true form and low and behold, the little wetback lookin' thing over there up and attacks me! It's not like I can fight back, and I just had to sit there and take it! If you need me, I'll be in Silus' room..." The silver were-dog snarled as he gimped off. Only Yancey and others with acute hearing could hear the wolf proceed to mutter "Marking my territory on his bed".

"Well...okay then." Silus said with a strange look on his face before he looked back to Michael. Zell sighed, knowing that it would probably be best to give those two a little time...or just the kids in general. He found himself snatching up the tail with his hand and tugging on it slightly to get the tan male's attention. "Hey...let's go...you wanted to see that movie or whatever right?" Zell offered up, it had been a small time since he had been able to take Sean anywhere, or vice versa. Now was the perfect time...when everyone else was getting along. Suddenly there was a very distinct noise in the other room. The Older Shale froze and he smile. He ruffled up the little Shael's hair and shot up and bolted into the other room at full speed, plopping down on the couch audibly before laughing. It must have been another challenge night on the X-box umpteenth or whatever it was now, Yancey being an avid "audience" member ran into the other room, trying to take Shael by the hand and lead him away... if successful then it would be just Michael and Silus... in which Silus needed to think of something...QUICK!

Shael’s eyes shot to the sound of whimpering, which was coming from a rather bloodied dog that was limping into the room with a nasty black eye. Michael raised an eyebrow, looking to his son before looking back at the battered wolf that was entering the room. So it seemed that the werewolf that he had beat up returned to perhaps settle the score or to gripe at Silus for forbidding him from hurting his family. A small snicker emanated from him as he was partially pleased with the fact that Kaisses’ appearance shifted attention away from Shael asking about his rather strange interest within his half brother, Michael’s face returning from the red color that it was beginning to take.

”Well then, that was interesting.” Sean muttered cocking his head to the side and humming to himself. Shaking his head, he felt someone tugging on the draconic tail, looking to Zell with an intrigued expression. ”You mean now? Hellz yeah, I am so open for that.” Sean said rather cheerily, jumping from his seat and dashing away while the little shael was being dragged away by Yancey, not that he was really protesting. He would likely change into something that covered up his body, make the tail go away and then the two could go out and enjoy themselves. Sean was in a very good mood upon hearing that suggestion, this left Michael and Silus alone, which was a little awkward for the male.

Michael looked to the light brown haired male sitting across from him, coughing into a closed fist before letting the silence persist for a moment, looking at him with a rather…hesitant expression as if expecting him to reach over and smack him with a baguette. ”So….um…hi.” Smooth Michael, now just smile. He tried that but his facial muscles did not really cooperate, as he only ended up forming a lopsided smirk.

Silus forced a smile as he nodded, as if returning Michael's "Hi" comment, though his own silence and his brother's ignorant hesitation made it quite clear that neither of them knew where to start with the other. So much had changed between them within the course of months. There were feelings that were buried inside of Silus that were aching, paining him that he continued to keep choked back. It as painful... in all reality, Silus felt as if he were emotionally asphyxiating himself. His stoicism wrapped cold fingers around the vibrant emotion, the grey thumbs pressing into the colorful throat, cutting off the airway. Proverbial...of course. But the struggling of the emotions was the cause of the pain. Silus, for now, could only wait...eventually the emotions would tire...and silently fall into sleep. The depressing thought almost brought a tear to the eye, however he figured if he was gonna kill off his emotion, he might as well take the whole "Survivors? What survivors?" mentality, and he refused to let the tear drop.

Silus, in fluid motion withdrew a small circular plastic object from his hoodie-jacket pocket. He placed it on the table and slid it across at Michael, of course it was a casual slide and in no way powerful enough to be considered an assault...unless Michael was an idiot. IF Michael were to inspect the plastic container he would notice that the label upon it was "ICEBREAKERS" The second Silus believed that he had read it, he'd just nod with shut lips and an arched eyebrow before saying. "We need one..." He said with a slight smirk forming, before dying away. Stupid joke was stupid, and stupid Silus was hating himself for it.

Michael found himself in somewhat of an impasse, unsure of how to really break the ice with Silus at this point. Well, the act within itself seemed like a nearly impossible task, considering that he did not really know much about the male sitting before him. The younger ethereal drew something from his jacket, Michael raising a singular eyebrow as he waited for whatever it was that the male was doing, which appeared to be drawing some kind of circular container from his pocket. Placed upon the table it was slid towards him, Michael looking to it rather curiously until the joke was made of course. A low chuckle emanated from his mouth as his lips curled into a rather amused smirk, if only because he was in a rather…strange mood. ”Yes…we do.” Michael admitted with a sigh, unsure of how to really formulate one, without likely damaging things more than they already were.

So what could they talk about? What did Silus like to talk about? Never had conversation been so difficult for Michael, considering that he found making friends rather easy and now he was floundering like a fish out of water, a stupid and somewhat confused smirk playing across his lips. ”Was never fond of the sour ones, always ended up eating too much and getting these weird bumps on my tongue.” Michael noted, mind seeming to force his lips to vomit that bit of information out without his prompting it. If they wanted some interaction, he could oblige, though how well that went Michael could not guarantee anything. ”So, does the cub lick everyone’s face or am I in some sort of special circle of faces that get licked?”

Well this was great. A sigh. Did he do something wrong? He began to be paranoid, but then he decided to stop himself. No...stop caring. If Michael doesn't like him, then he shouldn't care.. but he did. Though he found himself settled down all the more when he himself sighed and looked up to the sky (or rather the ceiling), tapping his feet together as he kept them dangling beneath the table. He was aweful at this. Then again, whose example was he supposed to follow? Michael's? Saying "boo" didn't inspire many conversations... His brother Shael? He didn't have his bad-ass factor. Jordan? No... just no... Yancey? Yancey was younger than him, that and licking someone face or jumping onto them didn't normally fly well. Speaking of licking the face however...

"He's...friendly with everyone... he does lick people's faces but... he normally gets to know them first...he kinda...just took to you I guess." Silus said plainly. That was simply it though. That's all he could say. In all honesty... he didn't know what else he COULD say... and if he even thought of an idea...he was too scared to say it. Silus just sat there...it was probably better to be seen and not heard...Michael probably liked it better that way. No, that was a lie. If he had legs that worked he'd probably have gotten up and walked away... Michael probably would have like it better if Silus wasn't seen...or heard. Maybe Silus...should have just died....when Raziel killed him.

Michael weighed out the answer set before him by Silus, something about how he reacted confusing him slightly. It started with a sigh, that either showed he was uncomfortable with the situation at hand or something else, maybe he did not really want to talk to Michael. If that were the case, then he could have walked away while Michael would be unable to do anything of that sort, no there was something to this. Maybe he was initiating conversation wrong, maybe Mike needed to be more assertive in this whole thing. Its not like he isn’t used to taking charge in a conversation, considering that Michael was the manipulative bastard that he was, so he would have to go somewhere with this quick if he did not want it to crash and burn.

”Sounds just like my son, except hes more likely to hug you to death than lick you.” mentioning Shael brought a small smile to his lips, a smile being something that was rarely ever seen on Mike. A smirk was the usual, so seeing one of them meant something good. ”So, what does one do around here for fun? I mean reading and sleeping can be fun, but it gets old.” Michael said venturing to suggest Silus possibly initiating some form of bonding experience or whatever. It seemed that Shael had been pushing for him to get along with his uncle, through subtle “not so subtle” hints placed around. So Michael thought why the hell not?

"There's not too much to do around here. Doing anything FUN requires you leaving. Unless you wanna see those two fight over screen-looking, or the other two wrestling around as dogs." Silus said blandly. he tried to keep it short and sweet, giving Michael nothing more than he asked for, hoping that the brevity would afford him the chance to know that he didn't give Michael any reason to hate him any more than he already did. Silus just sat there, little hands placed down on the sides of the seat as he kicked his legs back and forth, almost long enough to not be able to do it anymore. Silus felt pained and tortured even being in this situation, however it was not without reward in a sense... at least he managed to make today a record. The longest he had ever been around Michael and not felt like his heart was torn out...or like he was a failure. Maybe... stoicism was what he was meant for? It wasn't him though, and he knew it.

"There's a ton to do in town though...w-w-well... in city. There's the Dolby Theater, I hear it's got some event going on later. Daddy had tickets but I think he's gonna 86 it. Then there's the Santa Monica Place Mall... then there's Venice Beach, Palm Springs, and all around Hollywood... there's the spa, the coffee shop...then there's the Free-band concert tonight at the Malibu Arts' Association... gotta wait to hear from a few people about that..." Silus began to ramble again, quickly looking up to Michael before silencing himself, obviously believing that he had spoken too much to the brother, and so he apologetically looked down to the ground, his legs falling still.

Michael internally cursed, finding small talk to be harder to initiate with the male than initially thought. While the thought of his son and the wolf wrestling around was amusing, it did not quite satisfy Michael was far as entertainment went, so he would have to think of something else entirely. However he finally got something out of Silus, as the younger male began to spew a rather varied selection of entertainment, Michael leaning closer with everything that was noted to him.  ”Wow that’s a lot of stuff goin on.” The ethereal muttered with an interested tone, though the look that the male gave after that seemed to bother Michael lightly, as if he were dealing with a whipped pup. ”Wait, you said there was a mall right? I do like the mall, so how do ya feel about goin to the mall?” Michael began , reaching over and poking the male to get his attention.

Had to keep the males attention somehow and that seemed like the easiest way to do that, atleast for Michael anyway. So now he was kind of waiting for Silus to answer his question, trying to keep himself looking friendly as possible to avoid another wave of moping or whatever it was that his sibling was doing. Kind of ruined a chance for small talk when the person you were talking to automatically defaulted to that.

Silus cringed slightly. He was just offered to go to the mall with Michael. Silus was elated, but all the same time worried, weary and almost sick to the point of physical symptoms. Was this a trick? A plot or a ploy. It had to be, Michael was cunning, and he knew how to get whatever he wanted. Silus wasn't going to play though. He opened up his mouth. He wanted to see the look on Michael's face when he told him "No." he had his own little rhetoric to go with it. From everything that Michael had done. "Okay." He said. He mentally began to berate himself. He was supposed to go hard-core in your face grace...and he folded...like a lawn chair. He already committed to it though. He stood up and walked over to Michael's chair, pulling it out and sighed, wondering how he was possibly going to get Michael there.

They'd reach the mall in record time. Silus eventually began using the wheelchair as transportation, running with Michael and using his light weight to jump up and put his feet between the metal X crossing along the back, allowing the wheelchair to let them both fly. Silus only smiled, this was actually kinda fun. Of course when Michael's protests got loud he'd stop...or he'd keep going if he seemed to enjoy it. Once at the Mall, Silus brought Michael to a directory, by a bench. Silus plopped himself down and sat there, letting Michael look over the directory, waiting for conversation or instruction.

For some reason Michael was half expecting the male to say no and then just kind of leave him sitting here. It was what he would have done if someone had done the same things to him that he had done to Silus, well he would have killed the person and not given them the chance to have this moment. Instead of saying no however, Silus simply said okay, which drew a pleasant smile on Michael’s face, no matter how small it appeared. So the male would not deny this little experience? It was good that he did not, considering that Michael would have likely been resigned to staying in his room or something as usual. Most of it was self-imposed exile but that is beside the point really. So Silus would push him there in his wheelchair, the rather annoying construct that got his otherwise immobile body around, something that made his powerlessness even apparent.

Now came the time getting there, which was amusing in its own right, mostly because part of the way there his wheelchair became some sort of glorified racecar. It started off slightly annoying, but it only took a minute for him to really start enjoying it, which made two of them. This went on until they reached the mall, where probably riding around on a wheelchair like that was either illegal or something along those lines. Humans had strange laws when it came to certain things, but it wasn’t like Michael really paid attention to them in the first place. Once there Silus would sit down on a bench and Michael looked over the directory. A low hum emanated from his mouth as he looked over everywhere that one could go within the mall, eyes narrowing as he did so.

”Hmmmm, I’m thinking we get the boring stuff out of the way first, sooo..” Michael mulled over the directory once more. ”I do probably need more clothes, so we could start with that.” Michael muttered, though he made sure that he was loud enough so that Silus could hear him. He had an idea where they would be going, that place with the eagle in its name or something like that. "Well, unless you have a better idea." He wasn't expecting Silus to give one, but Michael knew almost nothing about the mall and he had a feeling that Silus knew more about it.

"Sure...clothing it is then." Silus said as he got up and began to wheel Michael around down the open areas. The Mall had quite a bit of people today, but that didn't bother Silus too much really... he began to wonder if it would bother Michael though. Silus waited until there was a store Miachael would likely indicate. Clothing shopping was something Silus, surprisingly didn't mind. Unlike Shael and Jordan, Silus actually liked to look presentable and not walk around in boxers all day. Silus took Michael where he needed to go, and did the little clothing things. Though Silus noticed something that would fit Michael rather nicely. He quickly scampered off without warning, seeming to gather up the components for the outfit he would suggest. In L.A one had to look the part, and if Michael enjoyed polo's the way Silus did then this was going to be a good outfit for him. Actually, Silus would have suggested a slight "V-neck" style, but that was kind of "HIS THING" when he was in his older form, and it was his absolute favorite... he couldn't let Michael ruin it.

Silus walked back up to Michael after a few minutes, allowing Michael to shop on his own before presenting some clothing to the male. A sunny-yellow polo-shirt with a solid tan-pinkish palm-tree and a beach like lay out. Follow it with stylish cargo-shorts with frayed ends and white socks. Silus then disappeared one last time. He reappeared just a moment later with an innocent look on his face as he looked to Michael. "I'd...uh...I'd go with that." Silus said, trying not to sound too imposing or "weird" about it. The Second Michael's attention was stolen, Silus brought up his finger and pulled back, releasing the band and the cloth planted on Michael's face. Silus sniggered and his eyes lit up as he caused his little playful mischief, looking with the hopes Michael wasn't angry about the pink boxer-brief hybrid that was just slung gently into his face.

So Silus had went along with his rather boring plan of clothing shopping, which pleased the ethereal to some degree as he was wheeled onward. So from here on it was more Michael leading the male to where he wanted to go shopping, and that was where he would be doing that shopping. Clothing shopping was something that Michael rarely got to enjoy, but when he did it, the male made sure to enjoy it to some degree. What he would buy was already in mind as far as clothing was concerned, coming in the form of usually shorts of some kind and if they had extra pockets, that made everything so much better. Silus would wander off for a few minutes once they reached there while Michael would look through what they had as far as clothing was concerned, picking out bits of clothing that suited his own personal taste.

This came down to a pair of light blue cargo shorts, light pink regular shorts, a pink polo shirt that just seemed to catch his interest with the little eagle symbol on it and one similar but in the color white. Michael folded them up before letting them fall onto his lap, humming lightly to himself as Silus reappeared, shaggy hair and all. The male had chosen out a shirt, some shorts and then socks, all of which Michael in retrospect actually enjoyed. Not that yellow was on the top of his favorite colors list, it seemed to work with the shirt that was handed to him, and however he was not quite expecting what had happened next. Something soft thwacked him in the face, drawing a slightly annoyed sound from the male as the strange cloth clung to his face for a second before falling.

Michael reached down and examined the thing that was flung into his face, the male chuckling lightly. ’I don’t know, I liked the ones with the stripes.” He said jokingly, examining the pair before letting it fall on his lap. ”But they will work.”

"Pfft, Polka-dot is 100 times better." Silus said with a scoff, a lopsided smile and one eye open wider than the other slightly, donning the "Silus Sarcasm" as he nodded. He giggled a little as he moved out of Michael's way and leaned himself into a little mirror that was screwed to the wall. "So you gonna try that on or just assume?" Silus asked, though he wasn't sure of his brother's knowledge on his size. Silus, unfortunately was 100% aware of his frame and the sizes he needed at all times. Unfortunately, while he was perhaps the LEAST likely suspected one of the family... he was indeed rather fashionable, and highly concerned with what he wore. Though it's not like any of them were ill-clothed. Save for Jordan, but the lack of clothing was more of a choice thing.

”Polka dots? Pffft, reminds me of some kind of clown.” Michael scoffed to himself, though the idea within itself was amusing, well he couldn’t say that he wasn’t considering it. However trying on underwear did not really sit right with him, unless Silus meant the clothes that he was thinking about buying, though he already knew what his size was for the most part. Michael did most of his clothing shopping personally anyway, so that was something that he had to be aware of anyway. ”nah, I know they’ll fit.” Michael muttered looking over the pile of clothing that was set upon his lap, reconsidering everything there before deciding that he was pleased with it. Well he was for the most part done with the clothing shopping part of the equation, which meant that he was unsure what they would do after this, which meant that he would let Silus decide; not that he was really expecting anything. ”So I think that’s everything, unless you plan to buy something here for yourself.” He noted, waiting to be wheeled to the register thing where they could buy the clothes and go on from there.

"Actually...I Gota fridn who might liiiiike..." Silus began, his little voice trailing off as he walked back, as if retracing his steps to recall the item's location. "This." He said under his breath as he took a shirt from the rack. A long-sleeved thin shirt, dark grey, nigh black in color. V-neck of course, but obviously a light, and free feeling cloth that made Silus know already it was going to cost something. Silus had a little money to burn...not really, the frugal little bastard never spent money on anything...but the fabric was soooo soft! It was Silus' Kryptonite, much like Sean to anything shiny, or Yancey to his nephew Shael. Silus just reminded himself that the reason he was so frugal was because it was responsible...and because by being frugal he was able to afford shirts like this one, and do nice things like he was right now.

He took Michael up to the register, watching as the clerk gave Michael a once over, as if trying discretely trying to see an apparent physical malady which inhibited movement. That or he was just being weird and creeping Silus out. Silus, in "retaliation" placed Michael's clothing on the counter and gave a rather cold stare with fixated, hardened indigo eyes subtly flashing, just enough to catch the man's attention and make the man second-guess his own eyes...believing they were tricking him. Silus then placed his own shirt, very precisely and formally folded on the pile of Michael's clothing. It may have appeared as though he were anticipating Michael on paying for the clothing, until the man stated the total to which Silus' tongue slipped form his mouth and his teeth bit down as his hand sunk into his pocket and he pulled out a rather punk-kid like wallet with a chain on it. Quickly withdrawing the most inconvenient bills that would take the clerks valuable time to count-back. Regardless of the young man's intent, Silus obviously didn't like the dude...at all.

Silus took Michael out of the shop and then hung there for a moment before letting out a nervous whine, not even meaning to as the plaza thickened with people like a fat-man's arteries in a Chinese buffet covered in cheese. He looked to Micheal, the only real familiar face and smiled slightly before sighing and looking around one more time...to focused on all the people to pay attention to any store names. "So where now?" He asked, eager to go anywhere that had less people...a store would be fine...but where did Michael want to drag Silus?
