The Legacy

Personality:
Rathe, being as old as he is, is still filled with some energy and excitement for life. however, in his position, he has lost focus on the old justice that he used to stand for. He's retired from all the moral arguments and prefers the simple things in life. Don't mess with him, and he won't mess with you. Try and foil his business, and you'll find threads creeping under your door at night. Otherwise, though, he's just a sage and wise observer, who grows a little more concerned every day about the state of the world.
History:
In the Renaissance era, Rathe was born to an English family, with the basic "meta" gene. This, of course, gave him a regenerative abilities, which were highly adept. After the great fire of London, his parents died and he was taken by the London Society (you know, those sciency guys). They performed experiments on him, and managed to infuse his body with highly sharp and durable threads, eventually transmuting his entire body into these threads without actually changing its appearance. Even if you cut him up, you would have seen organs... until the organs dissolved into threads that shot out and pierced your body and tore out your heart.

He became part of the London police, until people figured out that he wasn't getting older. He then wandered from nation to nation throughout the centuries, but wherever he went it was always the same... he would stay for maybe 4 or 5 years, then move on. He became fluent in multiple languages, and had a better imagining of the "bigger picture". As he did so, he gradually became less and less motivated...

After a few centuries, he grew tired of supporting justice and settled down (without an accent) in New York City, where he is a "mere tailor".

The Powers

Power 1:
His body is made up of a mass of threads, which is not exactly apparent. These threads are sharp and controllable, and the user can elongate and extend them to a range of about 100 meters. Even when his sensory organs are gone, the threads themselves can sense without actually being eyes, ears, etc. The tips are inherently sharp, and the user can sharpen the edges of the threads if he so chooses to. The user can separate these threads from his body to create solid constructs that appear to be made from a white-grey metal or cloth (same color as the threads). These constructs are limited to the user's size, even if he creates clothes from them. The user can both turn his body into these threads, and create them from his body. Being static, the user does not age, but can still die.
