Charles had been enjoying his vacation to America. He was sitting in a small cafe that was next to a bar, a plate of biscuits and a cup of hot tea laid out before him. His dark pigmentation and imposing stature were in stark contrast to the other customers in the cafe. That, and the blue boxing gloves that he constantly wore over his hands, which he couldn't remove. Indeed, he had been getting more than a few odd looks from the other denizens of the cafe. He sat in silence for a while, enjoying the food and drink that he ordered, until he heard a loud explosion shake the street outside. Rising quickly from his table, he rushed outside. Once he had exited the cafe he examined his surroundings. There was currently no sign of commotion other than the crowd forming outside to see what all the fuss was about. But other than that, nothing. No fighting, no metahumans. None. This struck him as suspicious, since he knew no one else could have done such a thing and fled so quickly. He looked around, searching for options. After a moment, he spotted the bar next door to the cafe. After sometime in the business of heroism, Charles had found that bars were good places for gathering information. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check. Besides, I haven't had a drink since I left London." he said under his breath. Charles enters the bar and takes a seat, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. Needless to say, it was near impossible thanks to his gloves and business casual attire, both of them making him stand out like a sore thumb. After ordering his drink, Charles sat back and began listening to his surroundings, seeing what he could gather.
