Basic Biography |
Real Name: Alan Reyes Hero Name: Z-Zone Title: none Alignment: Chaotic Good Age: 17 Gender: male Race: white Hair: black Eyes: brown Height: 6'0" Weight: 163 lbs Blood type: b- |
The Looks |
Tall and relatively scrawny, little facial hair in the form of a thin, barely noticeable mustache. Muscles are large enough that you can see them, but not so large that he looks like an mma fighter. Out of costume, he wears a variety of hoodies and jeans. He usually wears a black leather jacket. His costume is a generic spandex one-piece that covers the entire body with the exception of his head and neck. He wears a mask on his head to protect his identity. The suit is light blue and shows beneath the rows of flexible plate armor that he wears over it. The armor is a bright white. He also has his Z-Blade holstered on his right side. He wears armored gloves and boots, both are black and white. |
The Legacy |
Personality: Alan is very laid back and comical, responding to any and all situations with a bad pun or a snide comment. He cares deeply for innocent people and will kill villains if he thinks that it's worth it. History: Once a promising author and rising comics artist, Alan waited for the day when he could sell his own comic: "BAM!" to a real publisher. While walking the streets out of sheer boredom, he stumbled upon a strange substance that had no mass and yet was not made of energy. He named this substance "Element Z" and brought some home in a bottle. Unfortunately, the substance exploded, sucking Alan into the mysterious Z-Zone: a parallel dimension where our laws of physics don't apply. His body absorbed a large amount of Element Z before he found himself transported back to Earth-with unimaginable powers. After returning to our world, Alan found himself able to manipulate gravity around any small object directly in his line of sight, specifically when he made a joke about using the force to reach the television remote. Later on, his father, Doctor Frederick Reyes allowed his son to use experimental Meagenetic technology to search out any possible other side-effects. Soon, his father aided him in the creation of his suit and trademark Z-Blade, which powers itself using Alan's connection to Z Material and photokinesis. Now a well-known hero in Coast City, California, Alan discovered while chasing a perp that he could move much quicker than a normal human. With his newfound powers and father's support, Z-Zone fights to defend his home and to learn the truth behind the multiverse. |

Re: Z-Zone (character application)
The first point in wealth is free so you've only spent 29 points.
If you could elaborate on your characters powers and personality that would be great.
Also, separate powers require separate ability points. So you will need to divide up the points accordingly.
e.g Light (2) Telekinesis (1) Force fields (1)
Although this will mean the TK and FF are incredibly weak and have no real use to you!

Re: Z-Zone (character application)
Can you help me to fix my weakened powers then? I read the rules, but I'm still very new to the roleplaying scene. If it isn't too much trouble.Dissonance wrote:The first point in wealth is free so you've only spent 29 points.

Re: Z-Zone (character application)
Basically the more points in a power the stronger it will be, because of this we usually recommend sticking to one power and putting more points into it!
However, if you want to make the powers stronger you can take points from other stats to make them weaker so you can increase the power, however that can often leave you with vulnerabilities in other areas!
I've noticed my maths was wrong as you don't need the 2 points in intelligence as that and occult are considered the same until level 3. Taking the two point from that and Since his name is Z-zone i'd recommend focusing your power into the energy control/z-blade and having 6 points there, making it a reasonably strong power! This would allow you to use energy blasts and the blade and leaves your other stats at a fairly good average!
If you wanted to split it between two i'd recommend not going any less than four on your main power which would give you a reasonably weak second power.
Hope that helps!

Re: Z-Zone (character application)
Yes. To make things easier, your grid SHOULD look like this:
Intelligence: 2
Occult: 0
Strength: 5
Speed: 6
Durability: 4
Ability: 4
Fighting Skills: 4
Magic: 0
Spells: 0
Flight: 1 (due to minor telekinesis)
Wealth: 1
You do not need to spend points in Occult.
Occult and Intelligence have the same basic equality until level 5 in each stat respectfully. So unless you put 5 in both INT and OCC, you just need to pick one to pool points into for the time being.
Also what exactly is the Z-Blade capable of? I wish you would elaborate.
The history is also lacking in detail and information. Not to mention, you need mild descriptions for your powers.

Re: Z-Zone (character application)
What details are lacking? Just how much more do you meed on his history? All of his abilities save the Z-Blade are self-explanitory and I explained that one. I honestly have no clue what tou mean.

Re: Z-Zone (character application)
Sorry should've explained better,
separate power = separate ability points.
If your telekinesis is being used only for flight then that is fine as you have the 1 point, otherwise you will need separate points to use it in another way.
As chelle said with int and occ, they are the same thing up until level 3, so you don't need to write both, only put the points in the one that would be higher!
Detail wise:
History you could add more details of the persons past so we can get a feel for who they are such as, where they came from, friends, relationships, was he working another job while publishing his comic, what was he like as a child, what has he done since getting powers etc. These are all just ideas, your character is yours, it's just a good idea to go into a little more depth so people can understand them!
The other powers you just need to say what he can do with them/how he uses them. Then we'll be able to better advise you on where to put points etc.
If it helps look at one of mine or other approved apps: Blacklight
