Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
”Never with ice cream, that just makes a waste of good ice cream.”He noted with a wry chuckle before seeming to do a spin underwater, similar to what dolphins do. He was rather fidgety when one got done to it, but it was how it was. ”Yeah, can’t decide who births you or whatevs.”Couldn’t keep still the poor dragon couldn’t, not that he personally found anything wrong with it, that was just how it was now with him. If it involved standing around for prolonged periods of time, Sean wanted to have almost nothing to do with it, which involved swimming in place. ”I fidget? I have no idea what you are talking about.” He said with a rather coy grin, floating back a few feet as if only discrediting his own deflection.
The woman muttered about someone being awake, before waving at someone, Sean slowly turning around to see a blonde female running back up the rocky slope. Something about her felt familiar, yet he could not quite place what it was. The draconic male hummed lightly to himself before turning his attention back to Salone. "So, who was that?”

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
Salone smirked slightly; the dragon lizard titan thing was flirting again. Although, she was pretty sure it was unintentional. Carefully, Salone slid back into the warm California water. The dragon dude was a taller than her in the big blue as he was probably manipulating the currents or such. Then he motioned to Hanna.
“Who- oh! That’s Hanna.” Salone debated on how much to tell him. But he was like her… half dragon anyway. “She’s my daughter.”
Resting her arms on the surfboard, legs tredding water as she waited for his reaction, Salone cocked her head to the side and studied him.
“You… seem really familiar… what’s your name?”

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
”Daughter? Well isn’t that interesting.” Sean seemed to mutter, mind instantly snapping to the thought of the other Yam spawn, Jordan in particular. He guessed she was a more conventional child than Jordan, when ethereal nonsense was not involved at any rate. Then came the rather interesting question, which was what he name was. ”The name’s Sean…Atterrius.”He noted simply letting himself float back within the water, upon the small waves that were moving him along softly. ’And you are?”

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
The reaction of Salone learning Sean’s identity was almost instantaneous. Within three milliseconds Salone had gone from a woman who looked to be in her early twenties to a massive dragon, with golden scales, white fangs, and claws. Her paw snapped out to grab Sean and fling him as far as she possibly could towards the beach.
A sickening snap filled the air as her barbed tail lashed out in the water and snapped the surfboard in half. Salone was a beautiful specimen of a female dragon but also… very gold and very, very angry.
Hanna froze as she heard a roar fill the air and the tiny hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Dashing forward she saw a massive gold dragon bearing down on another, smaller person.
“Stop!” Hanna yelled and she skidded down the hill. Rocks, dirt rolling down at her feet.
Salone stopped, backing up and resting her head on her paws, tail lashing, bright amber eyes fixed on Sean like a cat does a mouse. The daughter asked the mother something in Draconic and Salone replied, however her voice was low and rough, it traveled mostly as vibrations.
“So,” Hanna said, turning to Sean while Salone struggled to reign in her temper and the dragon. It wasn’t that she was in control it was just left over’s of Salone’s previous condition. She couldn’t help but shift when there was a dramatic change in her mood or emotionless.
“You are the person who killed my father.”

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
Sean saw it coming the moment that the female turned into a dragon, the clawed hand gripping his throat and within an instant he was flying through the air. Within an instant he impacted the shore, a large cloud of sand being sent flying into the air as Sean seemed to simply land on his back, though unharmed by the violent action.”Ow.” He noted simply letting his own tail push him onto his feet, whipping away a few grains of sand that were sticking to his tan hide. ’Looks like Jake’s wench can hit pretty hard…but not hard enough.” he added popping his neck loudly before turning to the female that was running to them.
Looking upwards to the towering dragon, Sean could tell that she was rather dangerous to most, but he was not your average dragon, even at his young age Sean was rather powerful. Something told him if it came down to a fight that he would easily defeat the female, but he had no intentions of doing so. Sean buried his hands into his pockets as he turned to the female, the one that was Salone’s child, smirk turning into a hard line. ”Yes, I killed your father.” He noted as the spark of something dark emanated from his right index finger, a dark energy ringed with red. The sand beneath his feet seemed to be taking on a black color.
”You want to seek some kind revenge or whatever?” Sean questioned simply, digging into his right ear with his pinkie.

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
Hanna didn’t even blink at the under toning in the titan’s voice.
“So your Michael’s dad,” She chirped brightly before the delightful little girl façade fell away. “No, revenge isn’t really my forte. However, I would love to clock you for taking someone away from me who can never be replaced. So you can only imagine my mother’s pain for losing her mate.”
Hanna sighed before turning back to Salone to see how she was doing. The Dragoness was trembling with rage and hatred for the creature before her. However, if it came down to a fight she couldn’t win. She would most likely be dead and not be of any help to Hanna. Salone forced herself to calm down and began the slow process of turning back into a human.
The blue eyes of Hanna found Sean again before moving down to his feat, “That is most likely not healthy for the environment.”
The blackened sand smelled faintly of smoke.

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
”I could imagine, considering her mate was protecting a baby killer, or did he not tell you the fine details?” Sean found himself snipping slightly, the draconic tail now black as night trailing along the sand that lay underneath his feet, the decay culled by the nether within to spread outwards but Sean not allowing it.”I mean you would be rather furious if due to someone’s negligence they murdered your precious gift from above within your own womb.” His tone held a certain contained anger, silver pools narrowing into slits. ”That aside, I wouldn’t say that he is dead, considering that I…technically am Jake. Genetically speaking anyway, considering it was an offspring’s of his blood that was used to give me the whole body anyway.”

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
Hanna flinched slightly but Salone made no facial expression.
“He happened to be protecting his family,” Salone said quietly, laying a hand on Hanna’s shoulder.
The Daughter of Jake was staring really hard at Sean, her blue eyes taking in his face.
“I’m sorry,” Hanna finally stated. “I’m sorry that happened to you.”
Oh, but Sean wasn’t done. He went on a rant to hurt them both, about how he was actually part Jake. Salone’s jaw tightened and Hanna just arched an eyebrow.
“That would be me,” Hanna piped up. “I ‘donated’ blood.” She used her fingers to put quotes in the air. “Ourobos was rather grumpy about it too. So I guess your part me then… which is weird…”
The little dragon trailed off, tapping her fingers on her chin. Salone’s jaw on the other hand was throbbing, accentuated by the golden scales on her neck and cheekbones that where slowly fading.
The wings and tail where gone, as well as the sharp fangs and claws.
“Part Jake?” Salone murmured, turning the thought over in her head. The idea repulsed her but it also intrigued her.
“Your part Jake? … Prove it.” This was more curioucity based rather than rude.

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
”I was protecting my family, the one that Shi Ryurou was kind of ya know, murdering!” He added rather irately, as if the statement Salone made was more than a valid enough defense on his own. Atleast he finally got some answers as far as who had donated the blood came from, which caught his interest. So it was the little Hanna that had given him the blood? She wanted him to prove that he was part Jake and Sean was more than willing to prove that he was what he said that he was. ”So should I regale you about our dance on the water in Ireland, or how about that time that Sasha ate my amulet? I mean I could go on.””

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
Salone closed her eyes, turning over what Sean had said.
“Either way,” She said quietly, running her fingers through her daughter’s blonde hair. “Protecting one’s family seems to be the common value in you two.”
Salone believed him, but it hurt her very much. The Time Collector’s facial expression showed her inner emotion for e few seconds before she covered them up again.
“Hanna, baby. Go home.”
Her daughter looked up at Salone, brow crinkling in concern. But at the look Salone gave her Hanna obediently scampered up the hill where she had come.
“I guess there is no use in fighting then is there?” Salone asked Sean, before looking at him once more. “I can’t hurt you knowing that…” She trailed off, gesturing to Sean.

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
Sean wondered why he had not attacked initially to be honest, as the woman had attacked first and he would have done so to anyone else, especially Salone. She had reason to hate him, and Sean had no real reason to not retaliate, yet something within him did not want to strike out at her. Could it be that something within him was holding Sean back? Could it be that the Yam within him was the only thing that was holding him back, or was it something else? ’I suppose there isn’t a reason to fight.” Sean answered with a drawn sigh, taking notice of the turmoil within her expression, and it…killed him?
The dragon lightly massaged the bridge of his nose, feeling a small amount of pressure building up within it. It had been so long since he let the nether run its course through his body and it felt all too good. Was it simply some sort of compassion for seeing someone else in pain that drew such a feeling from Sean or was it the fact that it was Salone. Whatever the case was, he wanted to comfort her and did not at the same time. The black draconic tail lazily trailed along the wet sand, drawing lines within it before he turned his attention towards her.
”So what now?”

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
Running her fingers through her long golden blonde hair, Salone sighed before looking back out at the ocean. She could still see dimly that her broken surfboard was still tumbling over and over again in the surf, as the water slurped in and out.
“What next?” She repeated quietly, eyes fixed on the horizon. “I should probably fish my surfboard out of the ocean… maybe terrorize a dolphin or two…”
Sarcasm… Salone had quite a bit of sarcasm when she was unsure about something and it seemed to be coloring her voice right then and there. The amber glow slowly faded from her eyes as she made her way towards the surf. She missed the look Sean had given her.

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
The broken board seemed to bobble among the waves that were both pulling and pushing it around, though he was surprised it did not sink like a rock. He could have helped her retrieve the board, but that would do him no good…or would it? Sean bit on his lower lip slightly, a canine pressing into the flesh but not breaking through the night impenetrable flesh, well it was starting to anyway. Despite helping not being on his mind, his body seemed more than willing to help and so it would. So he followed her into the ocean, darting ahead of Salone and gripping ahold of the broken board, holding the pieces within his hand as his tail seemed to serve in keeping him afloat. ”This board, right?” Sean asked with a slightly devious grin, one that was perhaps slightly strained as he swam closer and offered it to Salone.

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
The water was only as high as her hips as Salone started to make her way towards the board when she realized Sean had passed her and was now striking out to get it. She was unsure what to make of this behavior, it was weird… but she guessed it was due to the Yam half. This caused a small but a smile nonetheless to flicker over her lips.
Carefully she waded up to meet him, at least until the water reached her chest.
“Thank you,” Salone murmured, taking the two broken bits from Sean. “Why… why did you do that?”
He was honestly the last person she would have expected to help. So, Salone fixed him with her big, dark brown eyes.

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
Sean smirked little too widely upon hearing the female thank him, offering a wide smirk before stepping out of the water once again. ”I helped, I don’t need a reason to help someone, do I?” Okay, he had no real reason to help the female with her own problems, but he was compelled to do so, something about magical bs. With that done, Sean plopped down on the sandy beach, curling up as his own draconic tail served as a prop for his elbows. ”So whatcha gonna do about the broken board? Doesn’t look like something you can surf on.”

Re: Homicide of the matrimonial variety [Salone]
Salone just gave Sean an incredulous look before saying, “But it’s me…”
Why her of all people? She knew for a fact Sean had no fondness or attachment to her. So, forgive Salone if she looked a little perplexed by his sudden change of heart. It might have been Yam… but she wasn’t quite sure. Carefully she waded out of the water and joined Sean on the beach, the white sand sticking to her feet.
“Um, no idea. Hanna needs something to chew on as a dragon. She’s teething still and that can last quite a while. Or it could make good target practice. Either way, it will be demolished.”
