Overlooking Roma

Brandon frowned lightly, a small amount of light shining through the hole created upon those that stood within the dome, some of them familiar and others altogether new. There were wolves, and then…Silus? The large blonde found himself smirking upon noticing the little Sean spawn among the small crowd that was gathered under the dome, one that was created somehow anyway. With the little brown haired ethereal clinging to him like some kind of leech, Brandon considered the others within the dome with a certain skepticism. ’Silus! What a…surprise to see you here.” He said messing the little kids hair up slightly as the wings flexed slightly against back, feather rustling. Guns were trained upon the young male and one of his wings unfurled, folding over the male to protect him, nearly impenetrable barriers. He would not let them hurt the child, no matter who his parents were.

”Take him to a cave? I think I can do that.” He said nodding to the wolf, looking to the child that was clinging to him, and pulling him from his leg and holding him somewhat like one would hold a small child, not that he wasn’t small. He felt light, yet when you can bench press tanks with ease, a child would feel light. ”Hold on tight, this might be a bumpy ride. You lead the way and I follow or, however that goes.” Takign a few steps back Brandon gave a might flap of his wings, and they were off once again. Darting through the air he kept ahold of the ethereal child with powerful beating wings. Now all he needed to do was follow the instructions of the small male and they would get there fine.

Ellie played it cool, remaining composed for someone trapped in a cave with a creature of stone. She chose her words carefully and gave away little. “We will be speaking again with her killers in seven days’ time, inside the Vatican itself, in a place called St.Peter’s Square. They betray us and murder our own, simply because she is different. Our leader has little choice; they hold the sword of Damocles above us. I fear there will likely be a deadly confrontation.”

She remained by Ines’s side the whole time. She finds a corner, accessible but private, and begins moving the rocks and dirt with her entrenching tool. Ellie’s sensors picked up faint sounds from the closed off entrance. “I believe there are more guests to see you.”

Gaius frowns, and his voice becomes sharp and flinty. "Non erit murdrum. Romae non est, non dum pro servo meis." he declares, and turns his head to the entrance of the cave, he whispers to the woman "Non est opus in timore domi"

He had told you that there would be no murder in Rome, and that you were safe while in his cave, and he meant to stand by both of those promises.

    Kaisses had reached the caves, Hocus at his side, they had gotten there before Brandon and Silus it would seem. Kaissis saw the large stone blocking the way. Hocus growled as he noticed the rock. He began to pace, as if highly irritated by the blockage. Hocus was far form pleased, they had left Silus in order to come to a blocked off cave? Part of him wanted to tear into the old druid. But to one such as.
 
   Kaisses this was not an issue, for Kaisses could simply pass through objects whenever he wanted. The blessing of Gaia, the wolf was virtually a ghost, able to constantly move through objects not intended to cause him harm.... it tended to irritate Hocus. Kaisses stepped through and his bright blue eyes would glow in the darkness, the runic markings of Gaia upon his silver fur, illuminated in the darkness.


     "Okay...been a while...lemmie see. Latin..." He said as he seemed to growl, clearing his throat almost as if he were trying to think of the words. "Mater vobis benedictio! Ego sum Kaisses, Gaia's druidae" Kaisses said. It was a greeting used by Kaisses to those whom truly loved and worshiped the mother earth in thanks. The roughest translation being "Mother's blessing on you. I am Kaisses, Gaia's Druid". He smiled, remembering that it was how he met Silus...with those exact words...and Abra.... his heart sank. He and Abra never showed it, but as a pack they were close and even now his loss troubled him. Perhaps it was the true reason for his outbursts. The disciplined Druid lowered it's head to the golem and to the girl.

"De Samarco, domum Lorum ipsup dolor." The rumble of stone is a perfect match for the latin voice that called you here, Welcoming the child of Lupa, to his caves.

The eight foot tall man of stone stands before you, feet planted sturdily, his glowing green orbs stare at the markings of gaia upon your fur.


"Mihi nomen est, Gaius." he introduces himself while dropping to one knee, the weight of his stony carapace shattering the stone where he lands. He looks you in the eye and asks if you would like your companions to join you, showing his guest courtesy

"Commodo sino lemma. EGO teneo Parvulus of Polus mos votum condeco vos!" Kaisses said with a happy wag of the tail. He turned to the door, allowing the wall to be removed, awaiting Silus. In the meantime he sniffed the air...there was wolven blood. He turned to find the woman with the body. Kaisses whimpered a little. He walked up to the wolf and sniffed it, dead as dead got. He looked up to the person whom brought the wolf. "I am sorry...even if his life was of no consequence to you...I am sorry you have been brought into this." The wolf said to the girl.

Silus arrived with Brandon, holding on for dear life as he tried to keep ahold of the strong blonde brute taking him to the caves. There was nothing more to do really...a large cave that was blocked off and an angry Hocus hissing and seething as he went through several paces back and forth, waiting to lung at whatever came at him.

"I swear if he gets hurt...I'll have Brandon punch him in the trachea." He said, uncharacteristically angry and aggressive.

Brandon and Silus arrived at the stone wall that blocked off the cave a bit after Hocus, black wings flapping as he lowered to the ground, and dropped Silus down ever so lightly. While he had a feeling the kid could handle himself, he still seemed fragile so Brandon would have to be careful with him. The large wolf growled at the wall blocking the cave, Brandon tapping lightly on it with his knuckles as he consider bashing through it much like the dome. ”I could break through this thing…I think.” Brandon muttered considering slamming his fist through the wall and breaking with an intense amount of ease. However before he could knoc down the wall it slid down, allowing them to enter the cave of their own free will now. ”Okay, looks like we can just walk in.”

Illumination slowly crept into the caves as the entrance stone was put aside. Ellie dug amidst the sound of earth and stone moving, the shadows gliding on the wall and the new figures approaching; partially to remain in-character, and because she was at an enormous disadvantage her should something go wrong. Silently and Diligently she moved earth and rock by hand, working up a sweat upon her brow, and breathing heavily, until the natural alcove was deep enough. Carefully Ellie laid the covered body in a fetal position, and she laid the werewolf's locket- a picture of human Ines and Jean within it.

Ellie laid the final stones over Ines, muttering a catholic prayer in Italian to sound as she appeared; a modern warrior from an Italian group. Ellie picked up her entrenching tool and hung it on her bag. She stood once more and faced Gaius, wondering what thoughts passed through his stony mind, or if he had any suspicions of her.

"...Only a fool would seek revenge inside the city, among the public. No, it will be a discussion between leaders. Our captain will be there, as the Reverend. The fake priest will throw his weight on us, while the Captain ascertains his next move, and any weakness the cultists have. If you wish to intervene, showing yourself may be difficult." Ellie said, taking off her gloves after digging.

Ellie turned off the clip-on flashlight on her chest, once the cave was lit enough. There was the smell of a wild creature, wolf in form but could speak. Again, Ellie remained cool and calm. Today she was simply a lone soldier who buried her comrade, within the bosom of the earth that the sons of Gaia so cherished and protected.

Ellie paused to feign surprise, to step back in caution and to breathe a sigh of relief that the wolf was not hostile, even mournful of the death of Ines. She spoke with an intentional stammer, a rehearsed mannerism necessary from the jaded agent. "Th-Thank you, stranger. She was a valued member of the band..." Another pause, another breath. "...Her death will not go unanswered, but I must return to the Sons of Gaia. They will wonder what keeps me. I understand I have little else to keep me here."

While standing in the entrance of his cave, Gaius sees a dark winged angel swoop down and deposit a young human onto the ground.

The gravelly voice of Gaius rumbles slowly in the ancient language, "Are all of these people your allies, friend wolf?" he asks, then after he gets an answer, "Welcome to my home of tunnels."  he bows at the waist, folding his massive hands together, one in a fist with the other hand engulfing it, an ancient sign for peaceful intentions.

As he straightens his towering form, he slides one foot down into the stone floor and twists it slightly. In the center of the chamber two patches of stone are crushed into a fine powder, while two long curved benches are roughly pulled upward from the featureless natural cave. These new furnishings form a half circle and look to be quite comfortable. "Please, let us all sit and speak. Perhaps everything can be solved if we work together."

Gaius will wait for everyone to sit and get comfortable before lowering himself into an attentive crosslegged position.

Items of furnishing for everyone? That was a unique little trick, Kaisses never thought of doing it that way. Though the woman whom was here with Gaius seemed to be rather eager to leave. Kaisses looked at her and cocked his head to the side. Don't worry about them... Tell them you ran into Gaia's Wolf...they'll know what kept you. He sniggered a little before hopping onto a furnishing and turning his attentions to Gaius. Silus and Brandon apparently could just walk in, which made things easier as Hocus leapt up next to Kaisses and growled, Kaisses just chuckled and settled in, Hocus remaining at attention, while the little pup Yancey poked his little head out of Silus' hood and yipped at Elli with fervor, as if he wanted the woman to hold him or something. He leapt form the hood and walked across little spheres of light until he lunged at the woman (whom Silus did not know to be) Elli.

"Uh, hey. You're the Golem. Gaius right?" Silus asked. Hocus turned to Silus and cleared his throat. Silus then snapped his fingers and repeated the sentence in Latin, of course rephrasing it to be more respectful, even taking the time to thank him for letting them in and making them utilities to sit. Despite being such a young creature, and seemingly a human he was certainly respectful and intelligent. Yancey seemed to glow with an aura of rainbow in the dark as he tried constantly to get Elli's attention.
