Personality:
The Universe is a cruel joke. Humanity uses words, images, and mathematics to give meaning to existence, but there is no meaning beyond what we give it. Hence, the only conclusion that can be made is that “we live to live,” a semantic statement that yields no understanding at all. A thoughtful, quiet, and academic young man, Caihe’s always been struck this absurdity. As such, he has no sense of either evil or justice; his actions are mostly driven by his will to survive. Caihe’s fear of death is so overpowering that some believe it is the source of his apparent immortality.

History:
With only an average human’s capacity for memory, over the years Caihe’s slowly forgotten who he is. While he used to carry information on his identity, he discarded in order to live truly in the present. The only records he has of his past are those that describe various locations where he has hidden his wealth. He’s accumulated enormous prosperity through intelligent investments over long periods of time, buying gold to ensure the stable currency. He also has a large library, educated in countless academic subjects. He’s especially knowledgeable of occult traditions and mysticism.

Caihe doesn’t trust the few memories he does have of his deep past, believing they must have been altered and diluted over time. He was probably born in China some 500 years ago, a fairly average human boy. However, at the age 21 began noticing a peculiar phenomenon: at the sight of blood, he would immediately change sex. Unaware of the trigger at first, he’d find himself stuck in female form for long periods of time for seemingly no reason at all. At one point, he even impregnated himself by accident, giving birth to a clone. Pregnancy was extremely painful and confusing, so in his anguish, Caihe left his child to die. Unfortunately, she later reappeared alive, well, and filled with hatred for her father. (Note: biologically Caihe and his daughter are clones, but while Caihe has always identified as male, his born-male daughter identifies as female). In order to escape his nemesis/clone/daughter, Baidu, Caihe moved to America just in time for the Gold Rush of the mid 1800s.

A hundred years later, Caihe began going to college. He enjoyed the lifestyle so much that he soon enrolled in another university after graduating –a cycle that has repeated until the present. He’s been at Crown University in New York for 11 years, enjoying a long relationship with one of its most popular fraternities, Iota Omicron Tau. His brothers are the only living people who are aware of his immortality.

In the past 200 years or so, his daughter has managed to create 100 clones of herself, singularly devoted to revenge. They’re currently scattered around the earth looking for him. Caihe herself died in a random accident so is unable to generate more clones, while the third-generation clones are infertile.

Power 1: Hermaphroditism: Caihe changes sex (male to female and vice versa) at the sight of blood.

Power 2: Remote viewing: A mystical technique that allows the user to view events occurring at a remote location.

Power 3: Clairvoyance: Ability to evoke the memories of inanimate objects.
