The Legacy

Personality:
Oberon is a man that seeks knowledge, answers, and revenge. He wants the world to be open to him, and desires that it be open to no other. In compensation for being held in the darkness for so long, he yearns to force the world into the very same situation. He'd bleed for it, and he'd bleed others for it. He has a very stubborn, one-track-mind, and is very serious in the things he does. He is still human, for the most part, and has other emotions, but they're often covered or influenced by the darker side of his personality. He is not particularly malevolent or aggressive, but he values human life as most people value spoons.

History:
Oberon grew up a child in Switzerland, several centuries past. His mother was of unknown origin to his family, and his father a soldier in the Hapsburg guard (the house of Hapsburg ruled over the area at the time), he spent little time with his relatives, and even less with other people. He was alone most of the time in his house, and seldom left it save to eat. One day he was approached by a neighbor, and was told of his parent's past. His mother had been a magically attuned human known as a Homo Magi, and his father had been unknowingly some sort of mutant... thing. He was told his mother had died in childbirth and his father had abandoned the military, and fled the country. The neighbor helped explain to him what he was able to do, and what he would progress to be able to do later in life. He told the neighbor that he planned of perusing his father, and demanding further explanation of his past. The next morning several soldiers broke down his door, demanding his surrender to be tried for treason, when his neighbor appeared and all went black for him. The neighbor had fought tooth and nail to keep the soldiers away from him, but lost to their sheer numbers. Oberon had been frozen in space and time for three hundred and twenty four years when he was released from the spell that had held him, and he began to fall down a hill where his hometown had once stood.

Oberon examined the ruins of his home, finding naught but crumbling stone foundations. No remains, no supports of the houses that had stood in the area, just the stone. He walked across the hillside to where his neighbor's home had stood, and found some items buried in the snow. He was weak from his extended time in a limited area, but lacking the ability to survive in the remnants of his home, he forged onward, towards the nearest source of light, knowing not what to expect.

The Powers

Power 1: Audiokenisis - Oberon has the ability to amplify, direct, and change the frequency of any sound within a 5-meter radius, in a manner that could harm people up to around 7 Durability, at 8 it is painful but not quite damaging, at 9 is where it more or less just comes off as annoying.

Power 2: Dämmerlicht Transformation - (Only available when additional Ability is provided by the Gugel der Blutigen Angst) Oberon, through the discovery of a peculiar magical item, has uncovered the potential for transcendence from the weak mortal form to that of condensed magical power, hardened and strengthened beyond conventional capacity for most metals.

Basic Spells:

Spite: Animates a shadow to move on a wall, floor or ceiling. Can be moved at will, but is nothing more than a marionette.
Dark Void: Causes all lights in a single room to go out (stop working for say... three posts, if that becomes an issue).

Low Spells:

Night Shade: Out of nearby shadows (15 meters), up to three tendrils of darkness appear, and can then be directed at will by Oberon. They maintain a strength of about 4 each. (Duration 2 Posts, Cooldown 4)
Shadow Ball: Oberon places both palms together, and slowly draws them apart, amassing a ball of shadow that can then be fired out of his hands in a semi-explosive manner. It appears as somewhat of a dark pulsing beam upon being fired, but lasts only for a few seconds before dissipating. (Equivalent to about 4 Strength) (Duration 1 Post, Cooldown 2)

Medium Spells:

Grudge: Out of adjacent shadows (10 meters), up to three tendrils of darkness appear, and can be directed at will by Oberon, however, upon contacting any living thing, they attach themselves to it, and attempt to pull it to their point of origin. Otherwise, they are indistinguishable from the tendrils created by Night Shade. (Have a pull strength of about 6, otherwise a strength of about 4) (Duration 3 Posts, Cooldown 9)
Ominous Wind: A sphere of absolute darkness extends from Oberon 20 meters in all directions, and can be used as an implement in his shadow tendril spells. (Duration 4 Posts, Cooldown 12)

High Spells:

Shadow Punch: Oberon's shadow takes on a 3D form of itself, and mirrors his movements behind him, but when he makes a punching motion the shadow's fists extend over his own to a maximum range of 15 meters, with a strength of 8. (Duration 4, Cooldown 16)
Nightmare: The target's shadow springs up from the ground and becomes little more than a tendril out of shape. It can be manipulated by Oberon, and maintains a strength of 8. (Target must be within 10 meters) (Duration 5 Posts, Cooldown 20)
