Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
She listened to No Name's answer, and found it odd. "No Name..." She thought he was joking, or perhaps he had no memory of himself. He also described his own actions to Bliss, his treatment of criminals coming off poorly on the more law abiding dragon girl. She had little trouble vocalizing her disapproval. "...You... you are a vigilante? Taking the law into your own hands isn't the way to make things better... you're just a murderer."
Xia weighed the situation, seeing as Bliss was already handling it as any good teacher would. Xia didn't have to stay, and her presence would likely only intimidate No Name more. She moved to help with the lockers, but No Name had it covered as well, moving the other locker that barred the way.
"I'll... just go now. It seems I'm not wanted here." She looked around and followed after Alice.

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
"Someone wants that girl for worse reasons than you do if that adds and levity to the situation." Bliss turned and walked towards the armed security guards with her hands raised and an angry slant to the cowl between her eyes. Things would get Blissy.
Holding her pistol towards the ground, the guard leading the detachment moved to challenge Bliss. "Mam, we need you to..."
"Shut up..." Bliss barked with authority. "Listen morons, you can't just go around George Zimmermaning every weirdo who comes in here." Bliss walked with no intention of having out her dispute for all to hear. "This guy is really dangerous and you probably need to call in some specialized unit, otherwise, he's going to kill you all. He said it himself. Right now, he's just charging up a blast to destroy the school..."
"We should attack now." A young guard moved forward.
"No, shut up, grown ups are talking. Okay, he has a barrier that would melt you if you attacked, which is why you need bigger guns and better trained men."
"We have bigger guns." The head guard formulated her position.
"Here?" Bliss looked back to the locker room.
"Get everyone out of the school and bring in the big guns."
"Fuck."
The sounds of ever growing chaos and poorly placed plans and intentions found itself drowning out the abduction of a girl from the nurse's office. Thugs stepped over the unconscious nurse laying facedown on the ground with a burn mark from a taser against her neck. Loading Alice into a van took little effort nor did it expend any physical coercion. Keeping things nice and clean and out of the morgue always worked in the past for the man paying the checks for this group, and if they needed to take Xia with them they would, but their ultimate goal required Alice to make it off campus at all costs.

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
"Murderer", the girl had said. A murderer? Not an exterminator, not a street cleaner, not even a pest control specialist, but a murderer? Such was the folly of youth, or rather human youth, so he assumed. No Name was more or less teasing himself about referring to himself as a human. He didn't know what the hell he was. Maybe "murderer" was pretty accurate. It was better than "monster", or even "freak".
While he in fact felt no reward in killing criminals, and the loneliness that came with going on his own like a renegade, he also knew that locking up criminals in jail was but a momentary, hollow victory. He felt less bad by killing them than he would have if he had brought them to jail, and watched as they were released into society and continued their horrendous antics. He hated it so much, that it burned worse than a lit cigarette to the neck. People called him a monster because he killed criminals for a living, yet "people" on a collective scale have slaughtered their own species for trivial things. Mass wars because of arguments that societies had never voiced, but their leaders had, and threw them into the mix with drafts, sending them to die bleeding in a part of the world they had never been to.
No, he was the monster, and the biggest one they ever saw at that.
"It's better than being human, kid."he said in a bitter, resentful tone as his shoulders slumped, bringing light to the loneliness he felt day in and day out,"Humans hate you because you look funny...you could look like the hunch back of Notre Dom, and save the world from mass extinction, and they'd still hate how you look."
He sighed heavily. Audibly, of course, since he couldn't breathe at all. Still, he carefully raised his hands into the air, and slowly hovered over to Bliss and the bitch patrol, who seemingly were discussing as to whether or not that No Name would resemble a human shaped peice of swiss cheese by the end of the day.
"That won't be necessary."he interjected with his dreaded, morbid whisper of a "voice", and disinterestedly spoke to the female security officer,"I don't even really care anymore. Go ahead and lock me up. Bag your monster like you want so bad, you fat, cumquat of a harpy."
He could use somewhere half decent to sleep for once, after all. Besides, he needed a serious freaking break from the cat and mouse crap he had been doing with Chicago's finest trained pig and donut enthusiasts. A nice little jail cell would be nice for a change, he thought.

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
"You think you are the only monster here? the only one with something to hide from the humans? You're wrong, especially if you think you're the only one with your problems. Everyone does. Your powers don't really change that simple fact- it's what you do with them." Xia jabbed at No Name one last time before going, trying to make him think differently for once.
She followed after Alice's scent, to see she would make it to the nurse's office... Xia rushed inside as she caught the whiff of weaponry used, and saw the attending nurse taken out. She helped her up and checked she was alright, before running after Alice and her captors, the foreign smell of thugs worrying her. Her progress was impeded though, as another headache started to cut through her mind. "Aaaah!"
"Unleash the Dragon! The power cannot be contained!"
Xia stumbled towards the exit, pushing it open with her shoulder, though unconsciously ripping it off its hinges once she took hold of the push bar. The thugs were just closing up the van with Alice inside, when they saw Xia bumble out of the school with a door in hand.
"Another Meta? are we supposed to get her?" One of them asked, the thugs with guns shrugging at the question.
"Not sure, but we could. We got two minutes, go give it a try. I'll call the boss." The driver said, getting into the driver seat and warming up the vehicle, while dialing a number. The phone rang for a few times, but no answer came yet.
"Aw yeaaah. It's go time, baby!" The large black man in the suit took off his shirt and coat, then injected himself with a strange syringe. Xia recognized it barely, through her bleary vision.
"DAMN I'M GONNA BEAT YOU UP KID! RAAAAGH!" The already muscular man's body expanded in muscle mass to grotesque proportions. Xia was unable to defend herself as the man bull rushed into the still taller dragon girl, right through the concrete walls and into an empty workshop. Xia found herself on a pile of rubble, tools and a broken work bench, as the man revelled in his borrowed power and went to town with the dragon girl...

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
"We have the fugitive." The guardians of the overindulged, privileged girls of Chicago finally got their man. They nearly destroyed the school, caused massive damage, and probably scared several girls for life, but they finally cornered a dangerous man who succumbed to his own morality and surrendered on his own. "Call in back up to take him somewhere safe."
Bliss patted her hand gently against No Name in a show of comfort. "I hope they give you the chair." Even with the chase finally winding down it still seemed sounds of destruction sounded out through the school. Off in the distance in the back of the school, the might of a wrecking ball tore through the halls. Bliss began to think about just what No Name did to sabotage the interior structure of the school. "So, you just set everything into motion to bring this school down. I was pretty sure I made that up, but I guess it was a safe assumption."
"What was that?" A keen guard overheard Bliss give a confession of her fabrication.
"I said it started rough, but security sure made it up."
"Why thank you, mam."
Bliss scoured at the term of mam. Turning back to the man, in which Bliss tied all her current ill will to, the ever present sound of wreckage poured into the gym. "Can you calm down on breaking down the school?" Knowing nothing good would come from leaving Alice alone, and knowing the floating man looked broken enough, by himself more than anything else, Bliss started to walk back towards the locker room. Security met containment with a more drawn back level of force than they previously expended upon No Name out of a combination of confusion and dread.
Bliss stepped through the shattered barricade and began to move towards the increasing noise coming through the halls. Her sneakers squeaked an imposing entrance to an empty workshop as the wall gave way to a being crashing through. An assailant stepped through and hovered over the downed form of the giant girl from before. Bliss began to shout a challenge towards his bulging rage when a lacrosse stick struck her in the back of the head, knocking her to the ground.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Soon, Alice would arrive at the manor for which she was summoned. A terminal woman and a desperate man needed her more than anything else in this world. To transmute such a vicious cancer into the body of such a young girl seemed so harsh and cruel, but what other option did he have? Too early in the life of his young family was his first wife taken. Dying so suddenly, the pain came quick, but this time, time did as much damage to the Hubbard family. Allan Hubbard would not lose his wife like this. When her doctor came for his scheduled treatment, he would have her put under, then the life of the curse of cancer would go to the young girl. Maybe it wouldn't be a death sentence he told himself. She was young. Maybe she could stay it off.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Putting a hand behind her head to alleviate the pain of the contusion, Bliss threw a blast of energy to knock the perpetrator back. Stumbling out from a knocked back row of desks, hobbled Hubbard with her choice weapon and a slight trail of blood dripping down her nose. Caught between an abyss and a mountain, Bliss readied herself to fight her way out of the predicament.

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
Now came the psycho-bullshit from the tall girl. Something about people telling No Name that he was "not the only one" really pissed him off. He stayed quiet this time, but that didn't keep his stitched face from turning into a frown. As he landed on the ground, just as the officers had moved in to slap the metal handcuffs onto him, he heard the teacher tell him that she hoped he would get "the chair".
"Cute."he said, his brows stayed the way they did, but now he had an ill-tempered smirk on his face as he moved his hands away from the officers, and turned to the teacher, moving in on her face, invading her personal space, he said,"And I hope that the little girl you hurt gets run over by a bus, and that as the paramedics try to revive her crumpled, leaking body, the last thing she'll whimper out is about how she's tired of people hurting her....people like you."
His thoughts conjured a demented cackle, the kind that you'd expect the crypt keeper to have. His smirk slowly melted away while the officers grabbed, and forced his arms behind his back to administer the handcuffs,"I take no pride in what I do, yet I can't help but feel that for every criminal, every psychopath and every "murderer" that gets released and commits another crime because the cops thought that putting them in jail is the best method for stopping crime, that people like you may shudder at my looks, but deep down I know that to an extent, they enjoy knowing that the ones that kill their loved ones suffered much more than their lovers, or their family members."
They began to drag him away, but he began to fight them, keeping his attention focused on Bliss, as his raspy "voice" started to scream at her,"I hope I do get the chair, and I hope you're their to watch me get singed! If you do, I'll stare at you the entire time with a smile on my face, because you will love to watch me die, and through that, you'll realise that you proved my point you little bi-"
It was then that he was interrupted yet again by the female officer's taser, causing No-Name to slump down like a leaning sack of flour, whereupon the other two officers began to drag No Name away from Bliss and Xia.
"Stupid...little..."
They dragged him out into the hallway outside of the gym, looked around to make sure that no one else was listening in on them, then the female officer said,"So, what do you think boys? Should we hand this guy over to the actual cops, or should we take'em to Mr. Hubbard and see if we can get some more cash?"
"Well...he did pay us quite a bit already to have us look the other way..."one of the male officers had said,"But, I don't think that he paid us nearly enough for overlooking a kidnapping."
The second male officer chuckled,"Ha, yeah! Who cares about some little kid! Once he sees this guy, Hubbard'll pay big bucks for his own personal freak attack-dog!"
No Name began to recover his strength at that point, doing his best to thrash about, when once again, he was struck with the taser, but this time the lead officer kept it pinned to his neck. The current kept flowing until his vision began to fade. The white polygon-world around him melted away to void.
------------------------------------
He woke up an hour later to the sound of some sort of loud blast, followed by a thump, which he could only presume came from some sort of object in the adjacent room next to his. He would've gotten up from the hard, metal, uncomfortable chair he now sat in...and was chained to. Although, the chains would not exactly be a problem for him, what with his soul and all. It took but a few seconds to snap the chains off of him with his energy, and even less than that to hover out of the chair, and float across to the left wall of the empty, spacious gray and white room he now resided in.
He would've tried the door, but it would've been locked, especially if they went to the trouble of locking him with chains. And he would've blasted down the door too if that were the case, but what with his unique physical traits, and lack of knowledge as to where he was and how many people were willing to pop a few caps in his stitched ass, then he felt it would be best to attempt contact whoever was on the other side of the wall, if anyone.
It would've been helpful to contact the person with his soul's vocal abilities, but their was no telling how large the other room was, or how far away the person was, which could make or break the possibility of contact. So, he opted for the next best means of communication: morse code.
So, he started knocking on the wall with his right hand. Performing the "shave and a haircut" routine over and over again, because when it came to morse code, he didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground! First, he started off quietly, then, with each time he played it, he would make it louder.
He gave up after about six tries before finally pounding away at the wall with both of his hands, now curled up into fists.
"As long as I don't get shot again, I'll be content..."he thought to himself as he pounded away, in the hopes that someone would answer him from the other side.

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
The engorged thug reveled in a berserk state induced by the mutagen, and continued attacking the metahuman teenager with tools and furniture in the shop, then with his bare fists. However, though the serum gave him inhuman strength, his unstable body could not keep up with the abuse he administered, and a sickening crunch announced that striking Xia with his bare fists was a bad idea.
"YAAARGH!" He clutched his broken hand, and watched in horror as the muscles and bones began to regenerate wrong. He looked down on the dragon girl, her face and hair dirtied, but unblemished. The pounding though seemed to have given her a clearer head, like a massage. Slowly she got up, dusting herself off.
"...Your strength is a fabrication, a lie; just a chemical made by scientists... to feed the delusions of humans wanting power." He tried to lash out with another punch, but Xia took the blow and rolled with it. She clutched the man's arm, in a vice grip he could not escape, no matter how he tried. Xia straightened out his fingers, breaking them again so they'd heal properly this time.
"UUUURGH!" He winced in horrible pain, falling to his knees, the remedy worse than the ailment. Xia asked him with an icy calm. "Where are they taking the girl?"
"Hubbard... Manorrrrrletmegooooo!" Xia relented, the man beginning to hyperventilate on the ground, the serum burning out in his system.
Xia walked over to confront Bliss's enemy. "...Where is Hubbard Manor?" She didn't speak with anger, only slowly and deliberately. The broken piece of I-beam she held in her hand like a bludgeoning tool though, was reminiscent of Teddy Roosevelt's saying of 'speaking softly but carry a big stick.'

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
Hubbard loved to see Bliss anxious, but she really wanted was to watch her bleed. Another swing of her stick flushed a gust of air with an attitude. Bliss stepped back and let out more than just a burst of air throw Hubbard back. A telekinetic field pushed Hubbard into a row of seat, dislodging her stick from her grasp. Seeing the opportunity to disarm her opponent, Bliss shot forward and rolled to grab the stick. Throwing it flush across her back with the business end pointed at Hubbard's face and a firm grip around the back, Bliss stepped up in a kneeling position with one knee against the ground. "Alright you little sociopath..."
The interrogation came to a giant halt when a giant interceded. "Why would your dad want Alice?"
"Doesn't matter. Even if you knew where it was, you still wouldn't get in."
"Humor us."
"North of town. It's by a lake."
"I figure you have a car." The beaten and bloodied man lay in between Bliss and the new opening to the outside, but Bliss would still need to find a way out of town.
"Being a sub not a good career choice?"
"That's it." Bliss grabbed the stubborn girl by the arm and tied her hands behind her back. "You're going to show us how to get there." Bliss grabbed Hubbard's backpack and dug through the pockets until she pulled out a switchblade. "What? For pleasure?"
"It will be."
Bliss tucked it away in the pocket of her sweater before going back for the keys. "Time go." The sound of a metal links and plastic doodads made a distinguishable sound. "Looks pricey."
"To you maybe."
"Tell me what prison is like sometime." Bliss grabbed the girl by the arm and led her out the opening, the student parking lot just on the side of the school. With security dealing with the massive disturbance, the kidnapping of two school girls by two different parties went surprisingly unnoticed. Bliss came across a well maintained Mercedes and pushed Hubbard into the back seat before moving to the driver's side. "We need to get there fast."

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
As the riot all around erupted, Xiao convulsed as her inner demons attempted to surface once more. It was only a brief moment though, as she spots Bliss coming out to the parking lot with that... terrible girl... and then grabbing a car.
"Miss Bliss, I'm coming with you. I am going to save my classmate." Xia declared, opening the passenger side door and getting in, and no stock car door was going to stop the dragon girl.
((let's get this re-rolling then))

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
"There's room in the front seat." Bliss put her foot against Hubbard's back to force her in the back seat. "I need an address to look for..."
"Try not to break the roof freak." Hubbard started to position herself in the back seat, drawing Bliss's attention.
Before Xiao could sit down, Bliss put the seat back all the way back, smashing Hubbard's legs. She pointed to Xiao. "Make yourself comfortable." She pointed to Hubbard. "Give me an address."
The GPS in the car took the trio along the highway leading north. Hubbard remained intolerable and Bliss spent most of her time arguing with the GPS when she missed her exits, but they finally arrived. Place looked nice. Big fence. Big yard. Big house. "So, everyone in Chicago except your dad paid for this right?"
"Think of how much money guys would've had to not spend on you."
Bliss let her foot press down on the gas for a second and then slammed on the break, slamming Hubbard into the back of the driver seat. "Sorry about that. Now get in the trunk." Bliss took a few seconds to come up with a plan then decided anything more or less would ruin it. "I'm going to drive this car through the gate since they know it. Get out of the car and try to sneak around while I start a problem in the front."
Once she stuffed Hubbard in the trunk, Bliss would get back in the car and make her way to the gate, pressing a button on the console to open the gate. Bliss saw the van from the school off to the side. "Well this trip wasn't for nothing." Bliss sent a shot of concussive energy through the door, tearing the hinges from the door and alerting security immediately to the front.

Re: Good Morning Miss Bliss
Xiao looked at her harsh classmate with disapproval. “You are a very mean person. Many of our classmates do not approve of you, in truth.” She said, stating the obvious like it was some sort of amazing revelation. Then again, as someone still struggling with English, this already counted as a witty remark.
The road trip seemed to pass by in a swift blur save for a few sharp turns. Xiao felt like moments after being told to get in, Bliss told her to get out and sneak around the manor’s rear entry. Before she disembarked, Xiao sentimentally placed a hand on her teacher’s shoulder. “Please be careful Miss Bliss.” She even gave her a hug, which was a bit strong, much like everything Xia did.
Xiao tried to be discreet in her approach once Bliss raised a ruckus which Xiao was uncomfortable to see or watch. She focused on her task, and slipped into the upper floors with a quick climb, her hardened fingers digging into the building like it was Styrofoam. Luckily since they played a sport Xia had, unwittingly, gotten most of her classmates’ scents, and the girl they were saving seemed- or rather smelled- like she was on this floor, hastily taken somewhere.
Xia crept through the corridors as quickly and quietly as she could, though she couldn’t help it if she had to stuff a stray guard into a supply closet every now and then. She searched and searched, following the scent as best she could, realizing that her headache probably came from her sense of smell being on overdrive all day.
