The Legacy

Personality: William is a man that firmly believes in dispensing out justice to those that need a good whooping, whether it be by publicly revealing information on the news or by subtly relaying information to various crime fighting organizations. He is incredibly knowledgable in all things regarding his interest, and uses that knowledge to function as informant, he even has a vast amount of information on the supernatural. William is also incredibly solitary, rarely leaving his cottage in London where his base of operations is, not having many friends. Because of this solitary existence, William makes a point not to draw attention to himself, operating his information network through various aliases and proxies and simply giving "anonymous tips" to certain figures that he feels would be adequate enough to handle the situation.

History: William was born to the wealthy Lovelace family, though he was unfortunately born crippled and weak. The doctors were doubtful that he would survive, and told his parents that they shouldn't get their hopes up. After spending months in hospital, with his parents fearing for his survival, William managed to pull through, and made a full recovery. However, his parents were told that he would be unable to walk. Despite this setback, William still managed to have a happy and fulfilling childhood. The only really unusual thing about was that he performed much better in school than even people older than him.

It was during his years in Cambridge when his latent with technology surfaced, as he showed a strange connection to the tools that he had worked on. When WW2 broke out, William was immediately sought out by British officials for a special job that would suit him, gathering intelligence in the OSS as well as designing weapons. He immediately jumped at the chance to help fight the Nazis, who he saw as nothing more than bullies. William worked tirelessly for six years using his talents until the war finally ended. His view on the world was colored by the job, though he managed to gain a vast collection of experience from the time he spent. Soon after the end of the war, both of his parents had died through mysterious circumstances, which left William the sole successor their wealth. Though their deaths hit him hard, William was intent on carrying their name. He spent the years doing work to help repair the damage done during the war as well as other philanthropist efforts.

But despite this, William's experiences with the Nazis and Unit 713 , along with some occult activities, told him that evil was still running rampant in the world and he realized that he had to put things into his own hands. Disappearing from the public eye, William spent a long, long time building up his operation. Gathering information, meeting the right people, it took years to set everything up, even with all of the money he had. His operation was primarily built on gathering information. He had connections with people in the media, authority figures and even political figures, he operated under numerous pseudonyms and aliases to avoid drawing attention to himself. With the creation of the internet, William's operation became much more efficient, and information gathering was even easier than before. In the recent years, he lives in a small cottage in the English countryside that also functions as his base of operations, though he has taken particular interest in the "heroes" that protect the world.
