He wears a dark black scarf over his face, and places a dark black hat on his head. He wears dark black gloves and dark black shoes and socks. Every aspect of his body, with the exception of his eyes and the skin around them, is covered by black clothing.

Personality:

The Man in Black has no sympathies. He has no love, no hate, no emotions whatsoever beyond an intense lust for power. He facilitates. He makes deals. He backs people with talent, and he makes them into bigger things. He owns. He dominates. That is all he does. He does not fight, he does not strike, he does not plan. His job in this world is to value others, and to improve others.

He has no tolerance for failure or weakness, and he has little time for pleasantries. But he also has a seemingly unending supply of cash, and a small network of informants to keep him up-to-date. He knows quite a bit about the material world, but it is the supernatural, the obscure, and the dangerous, that he sees future investment opportunities in. This comes in the wake of Dr. Necrodium's attack on New York, which drove this man to seek out the vast resources now available in the crater of such destruction. A true investor can find value in any market, they say. He will put this to the test.

History:

No one really knows where he comes from, but he got his investment start through the Homeless people of Chicago. He uses them as his ears, and his eyes, and as his network grows, he learns and adapts. He seeks to get the most value possible out of what he has, which makes him both the most predictable, and the most chaotic, man in the world.

Some say he is a wealthy investment banker who quit his job to invest in non-monetary value. Some say he lost his license and was forced to go rogue. Some say he's a drug dealer building a network. And some say he's a super hero who wants to find information. All they know is that he brings money, trust, and protection to those who he deems valuable enough, whether they are Heroes, Villains, or somewhere in between.

But those who trust him should be warned, for when you gaze into the abyss... well, you know the rest. His demands, when they come, may be too high for you to manage, and if you fail him even once, he will find a way to get his value back. But those who are capable, who can conduct business as he sees fit, will reap rewards unimaginable.

Not really a 'superpower' per say, but he does have seemingly superhuman levels of market prediction. He can sum up a person extremely well through their appearance and actions, but has no 'mind reading' or anything like that. His abilities extend to non-human commodities as well, and it makes him significantly better than the average person at building wealth and seeking new opportunities for business, so much better that he's been able to build a massive fortune already. This makes him borderline superhuman, but without any clear, discernible superpowers.
