Re: To track a legend...
Before Varric knew it the movie was over. He left out a yawn and blinked a few times. Kat what he thought of it. "It was good, kinda sad there were no screw ups. Those where entertaining during plays in the castle, especially Arthur's face when he got all red." Varric let out a small laugh and ran his fingers through Kat's hair. "I think I am going to like this time period."
---
Varric laid Kat out on the grass near the edge of the property. Kat spend no time relaxing and checked her ankle. She could move her toes so it wasn't broken but it still looked like it hurt like hell. "I probably don't need to tell you this but you aren't walking on that anytime soon." Varric let out a sigh, he could just leave now but he helped her this much as it was, might as well help her a bit more. "Alright, lets find your family, know which way they went?" Varric reached down and picked Kat up again, carrying her piggyback, holding onto her legs so she wouldn't fall. He was careful not to touch her ankle though. "Alright point the way." said Varric.
"I hate to say it but I told you this would happen. They don't like not getting what they want." said Varric and walking for a bit.

Re: To track a legend...
Katrina chuckled, “Yes, that was always a good laugh. We can watch the bloopers however.” Upon reaching for the remote Varric decided to run his fingers through her hair, causing Katrina to make a small noise of pleasure as her fingers closed around the plastic device.
“Oohh, that feels good,” Katrina bowed her head while Varric played with her hair and Katrina turned on the bloopers, curling into Varric like a small animal.
**
Katrina whimpered as Varric picked her up and slung her into a piggy back and began walking away.
“Thanks for the’ I told you so’. I already knew as well as my Da, my escape had been planned for a while. You where just the factor no one expected.”
For the next half hour Katrina was silent, her head leaning on Varric’s shoulder as her eyes drooped from exhaustion.

Re: To track a legend...
"Bloopers... such a weird word." said Varric. He looked at Kat with a confused looked. "You know you keep saying all this stuff about waiting till you are married but seesh playing with your hair is pretty much the same for you." Mused Varric sarcastically. The past by quickly and before Varric knew it, it was midnight. He yawned and looked at Kat. She had fallen asleep. Varric simply slid the remote from under Kat and turned the TV off. Picking up Kat he walked to the bed room and placed her under the covers. After getting ready for bed he got into bed and was out.
---
They had been walking for awhile now. Varric just kept walking until he reached a natural overhang. Kat had fallen a sleep, her rhythmic breathing had been warming his left ear for a while now. Carefully he placed Kat on the ground, making sure not to hurt her injury. He fumbled around in the moon light until he was able to get a fire started. Once he did he move Kat closer to the fire. It was a cold night and Varric left his stuff at the other camp. He looked around nervously. By himself it wouldn't take more then an hour to get to that camp and back, but he left nervous about leaving Kat by herself. After thinking about it for a bit Varric darted out into the night.
About an hour later he returned. The fire had all but died out but he got it going again with in a few moments. He placed a small blanket over Kat. He had a cloak so he really didn't need it.

Re: To track a legend...
Katrina scowled at Varric, “It is not the same and if you keep insinuating so, you can sleep on the floor.”
That shut him up. Katrina smirked at him, a triumphant grin. After a few minutes however the sleepiness took their toll on Katrina and she found herself asleep, curled up next to Varric. Upon waking she discovered that she was curled up to Varric still and in bed. Carefully, she raised her head off his chest and looked around, rubbing her eyes clear with her hand.
**
The rhythm of walking had put Katrina to sleep and her head found its way to Varric’s shoulder and the next morning she woke up by the coals of a fire, with a blanket. Pushing herself up, she ran her fingers through her hair. Removing tangles from the long brown locks as well as rouge leaves that clung to the strands.
Abruptly she gasped in pain, Katrina had forgotten about her ankle. Carefully she sat up completely to inspect the damage.

Re: To track a legend...
Varric had always been a light sleeper, with his past he had to be. Once Kat woke up and slowly began to get up, he woke up shortly after. "Morning." said Varric groggily. He stretched and forced himself up so he wouldn't drift back to sleep. "I guess we have a busy day today huh?" He got out of bed and slowly began to walk towards the kitchen in hopes of grabbing something to eat.
---
Varric shot awake, he must of drifted off. But they weren't attacked or kidnapped so that was a good thing. But it seemed Kat was awake, for how long, he didn't know. He got the fire started again easily enough, there where still embers from before so it just took some prodding and fresh wood. "I finally see you are up sleepy head. I doubt that ankle is feeling any better but other that are you feeling better?" Varric reached into his pocket and pulled out two small cloth bag. He walked over and handed one to Kat with a smile. "Come on eat up, He need to locate your family." He walked a few feet a way and opened his bag, pulling out some jerky and starting to chew on it slowly.

Re: To track a legend...
“Nooo,” Katrina complained as Varric moved, removing her pillow from her. “I was comfortable.”
Now that Varric was moving around, Katrina saw no more reason to lay about and be lazy so she followed his idea and rolled out of bed. Moving over to her suitcase, Katrina picked out a change of clothes before vanishing into the bathroom to change.
Returning to the kitchen, Katrina was pulling her hair back. “Yeah, we pick up shipments and prepare to open shop.”
**
Catching the bag, Katrina stared at it for a few moments before looking back to Varric.
“As better as I can be,” She sighed before asking. “Why are you doing this?”
Attentively, she opened the bag and chewed on a piece of venison, waiting for Varric’s response.

Re: To track a legend...
Varric laughed lightly at Kat's protests. Varric was in the kitchen putting ingredients on the counter for cooking. It was nice having everything right there rather then having to sneak into the castle to get a few herbs. Following Kat's instructions from yesterday he was able to use the stove top and in the end made two omelettes. He put them on the table and got the silverware for them. Once Kat sat down he began to eat. The two went over what they would exactly be carrying and possible set ups for the shop. They were also getting supplies for him to make small carvings from them to sell.
"We still need to get our company's name out there, preferably this one so we can get the trust of our neighbors. It seems this entire area has house and shop combos. If you didn't noticed everyone here seems to know each other. I wouldn't be surprised if their aren't already rumors floating around about us just from yesterday. This place looks like a place where gossip travels fast." Once they where done eating Varric took a shower and got ready to leave. He pulled on his jacket and zipped it up. "The big question is how are we going to get all the boxes here. We do't exactly own one of those car things yet and I don't know how to use one. Not to mention we are meeting with one of your contacts today, correct?"
Varric's next question seemly came out of the blue. It wasn't related to anything they where really talking about. "Do you still want a ceremony like how you mentioned in the past? Or would you want to make it a quick thing considering that all the people we knew are dead."
---
Varric chewed on the jerky for a a bit before answering. "I dunno." he said simply. It was obviously more then that. It was a conflict of this own morals vs survival. But he couldn't stand the cult going after a girl that young. And it's not like he could just leave her be. The cult would be out for her. If he liked it or not he needed to stay close to this girl. She proved to be good in a fight but it didn't mean anything if they vastly out numbered her. She could use all the help she could get. "Maybe I just couldn't see a cute girl like yourself get hurt." He finished his bag of jerky and placed it in his pocket. He kicked dirt over the fire to put it out. He let Kat hold onto the blanket, it was pretty chilly out and he only had the one cloak. He picked Kat back up and once he made sure she was comfortable on his back he began to walk again. She could always eat while he walked.
"Are you sure you this is the way your family went." asked Varric after they been walking for a while.

Re: To track a legend...
Katrina watched as Varric ate before looking down at her omelet. She wasn’t hungry; it took her at least a week to digest regular food. So she just dumped her omelet onto Varric’s plate. Together they discussed what they were going to sell and other things of the like.
“Yeah, around noonish. Except she is more interested in that ugly painting than any of the other things we have to offer.” Katrina grinned and she played with her mug in her hands. Taking a drink of water she choked when Varric asked her if she wanted a ceremony versus signing a simple paper.
“What? What inspired this conversation so early in the morning?” Katrina asked, placing the cup down on the table and looking at her fiancée. Personally she didn’t want a ceremony that no one would be at. But in a perfect world she did but currently Katrina’s world was far from perfect.
**
“Cute? You be callin’ me cute and people be getting the wrong ideas.” Katrina stated, crossing her arms and the jerky pouch swung from her left hand’s fingers. Varric just picked her up and started carrying her again.
“yeah, its going to take a while to get to where we are going however. Two days at least.” Two days away… if they were not two days away then a week away, if not then three week increasing onto a month.

Re: To track a legend...
"Then lets give it to her, We're not going to use it." joked Varric. He remained quite a bit before continuing. "Well we aren't going to be setting up forever and I can fit into the flow of things pretty easy. I would still owe you a ring if you just want to sign a paper." said Varric meekly. The pair left shortly after. Getting the supplies for the shop was easy. After explaining to the people that we had no mode of transportation to get the boxes back they offered to lend a hand and drive the stuff to the store. Once the boxes where dropped of in front of the store Varric lifted them up and carried them inside. One they where all inside he turned to Kat. "So while we set these up, we should probably think of a business name." Varric looked at the clock it was only 10:27 in the morning so they still hadd some time before the meet up with Kat's contact.
----
"Well let them think." said Varric as they walked. Although Varric nearly tripped over his own two feet when Kat mentioned how long it would take. "Seesh how far away did they go? Usually people rarely trail 30 minutes from their own homes." Varric continued to mutter as he carried Kat. He stopped off at a small stream around noon to rest. He laid Kat on a rock by the stream so she could reach over and get something to drink. After getting himself some water he went over their supplies. Varric knew he didn't have much. In fact he only had enough to last them the rest of today. "I'm going to have to go hunting for a bit. With the amount of food we have there won't be enough to last us that long." Varric reached into his pocket and pulled out a small knife. He handed it over to Kat, knowing he didn't need to explain how to use it. "I don't know how long i'll be but regardless I don't feel comfortable with leaving you with nothing." Varric collected some wood and set up a small fire. Kat should be able to keep it going, he left enough wood to last for a bit. "I'll be have later, don't do anything stupid."

Re: To track a legend...
“Generally one doesn’t think about getting married first thing in the morning,” Katrina mused with a small smile. “Unless you’re the blushing bride.” She leaned forward conspiratorially, “Are you the blushing bride Varric?”
Laughing, she helped clear off the table before returning back to her place to discuss other things. Soon after however they had to move things, tools and other paraphernalia in crates had just
arrived. While unpacking the crates Varric brought up the idea of a name for the place.
“A name? How about… er… The Purple Hippo?” At the look on Varric’s face she quickly amended. “The Happy Hippo or we could go The Snuggly Duckling.”
**
Watching Varric, Katrina rolled her eyes. “They aren’t going back home. They are moving. “
After his revelation on hunting Katrina called after him, “How can I do anything stupid with a bum ankle?”

Re: To track a legend...
Varric burst out laughing. "The Purple Hippo? The Happy Hippo? The Snuggly Duckling?" said Varric in between laughing. "My god you can't be serious." Varric placed the box of stuff he was carrying down and leaned on it while laughing. It took him a bit to recover. "I love ya sweetheart but how about you don't think of the name." He felt kinda bad but those names where horrible. Varric opened the box he was carrying. It was full of books. This store was becoming a bookstore as much as it was becoming an antique store. He held a book in his hand when the idea hit him. "How about 'A Novel Place'?" suggested Varric.
---
They where moving? It was kinda odd, it made sense to move in there situation but why so far away. "Knowing you you'll find a way!" joked Varric as he walked off. Varric walked deep into the forest. All he had on him where a few throwing knifes so he would have to make this count. So he turned invisible and waited.
Hours based and nothing had based by. Varric was about to give up when a Dear trotted along. He wasted no time. Lifting a knife up in the air he tossed it at the deer. The animal fell over and Varric went to work. He didn't need a lot of it so He just cut out what he needed and headed back to camp. When he got to camp he smiled. "Cause any trouble?" joked Varric. He set up a place to cook the meat. "I was thinking he could have some today and dry the rest." He started to cook the meat and pulled out a good size branch he found while hunting and a knife. Varric started to whittle at the wood. It would pass the time at least.

Katrina rolled her eyes, “Fine. No more name decisions for me.”
She listened to Varric list names before they agreed together on one.
**
Rolling her eyes, Katrina threw a stick at Varric before flopping down onto the grass.
“Of course I caused trouble, do I look exactly like an innocent flower to you?”
Running her fingers through her long brown hair She watched as Varric played chef.
