The Legacy |
Personality: With great power comes great responsibility, and even with his great knowledge... Hogan ignores it completely. Hogans transformation caused him to feel he had an absolute power over the lives of mere mortals, and when absolute power is involved, it corrupts absolutely, and if knowledge is power, Hogan has too much for his already poor personality. He is selfish, immature, angry, and looks down on people below him... though that includes everyone, because he sees EVERYONE as being below him, no matter how strong the facts. So in some sense, he is very stupid, but at least at a subconscious level he realizes he is outclassed, but ignores just like his responsibility. Destruction is the second largest thing on his mind, the other half is how big he can get it in a single instance. He exhibits great patience, and selectively destroys objects on a thought provoking level, forcing you to wonder the symbolism behind his seemingly unprovoked attack. Despite this though, when not in movement his words are his most powerful attribute, manipulating people with white lies and half truths that can last quite a long while. Due to this, money is of no concern of his. History: Hogan Nago used to be an ordinary, stupid ass teenager, thinking he was invincible when he wasn't, even with his ludicrously growing intellect... that he chose not use, because "it wasn't the cool thing to do". He was the unpopular kid who desperately wanted to, but no matter how much he aided by the 'social hierarchy' he always ended up being the bottom. He was a weakling, his mind equal in strength to his body after... the transformation. At this point, Hogan was about ready to give up. No one cared, most particularly his abusive and neglecting parents, wealthy and successful scientists who hardly had two thoughts in a day about their son. Unknown to him or them, he was a metahuman, with an abnormal metagene attached to his pubescent period. Without trying, he noticed that his muscularity was building, and at first, this was the first good thing to happen to his social life... but then his skin began to pigment grey. After that his social life stopped dead, and he was a loner again, an angry one... with a growing criminal record. With his incredible strength, he took out his rage on other students at his several boarding schools (unable to find one that wants to keep him). Eventually though, it culminated in murder... and he wasn't even trying. He just became to strong for his own good, to large for his own good, and although he was beginning to be slowed down by his own muscles, he was still reflexive enough to beat someone down upon being threatened. He just couldn't take the fun anymore, and after overhearing something about him it threw him into a rage. Before he even realized he was angry he was directly before the two gossipers with his giant hands over his head. He couldn't react fast enough to stop himself, but at this point he wasn't really sure he would even if he were able to. The hands fell down like a freight train and crushed the too into gory goo. He was a criminal now, a murderer. But he felt good about it; and that was bad. He had taken the lives of other beings with his awesome strength... of those who had tormented him all of his life. He had complete control. No boundary could keep him back, no walls could contain him. He was invincible. |
The Powers |
Incredible Density: The Telekannon is almost just about invincible when it comes to how much damage he can take, capable of dropping from insane heights to cause super massive destruction, if that is, he can get up there in the first place. A fallback though, is that he can't hardly move without assistance from his mental abilities. Super Muscularity: Telekannon's massive strength is absolutely incredible... if only he weighed nothing. Due to his weight being so massive, it is incredibly difficult even to move despite his incredible strength, requiring immense strain. He can though, lift something at most 10 tons heavier than he his, but at a ludicrously slow rate. Personal Teleportation: With a weak range (30 feet diameter sphere) Telekannon is capable of getting around quickly using teleportation. It takes about half a second to activate, a full second between one place to the other, and around ten to twenty seconds between two individual teleports (not including initial activation) depending on his ability to concentrate. Additionally he can't teleport into spaces occupied by solidified matter. Due to this, anything obstructing his view of teleporation blocks him from initiating the teleport. However, as he commonly does, he can teleport straight up into the air to generate a destructive impact from landing. Also, anything within a 5 foot diameter (as a sphere) teleports with him. Limited Body morphing: Telekannon is capable of shifting the position of his muscular mass so he can fairly quickly (for him) move his limbs about. He can also change the shape of his muscles so that he can turn his two fore arms (when put together) to create a crude shield. Normal damage is still taken though, but it isn't hitting anything critical, so it is effective enough. Very Smart: Don't mistake Telekannon for a simple brute, behind his grey skull is an impressive brain (the source of his teleportation abilities), that is capable of developing complex plans and strategies. Grid Intelligence: 7 Occult: Strength: 7 Speed: 0 Durability: 8 Ability: 5 Fighting Skills: 3 Magic: 0 Spells: 0 Flight: 0 Wealth: 0 |

Re: Hogan Nago, The Telekannon
To start ill just go about on your stats. Mind taking a gander here https://www.superhero-rpg.com/t5264-stat-equivalents ?
You only get 30 points to start, one point of wealth is free though. Now also on yor starting grid you may only go up to two 8 stats. Meaning that 9 str and 10 dur, would both need to be dropped down to 8's. As for the teleportation it can't be completely instant, and while teleporting he wouldn't be able to rearrange his limbs. For a look at what is allowed with teleporting check out these apps to get an understanding on the power https://www.superhero-rpg.com/t1631-queen-chelle-a-god-complex (labeled shadow stepping) https://www.superhero-rpg.com/t2031-elaine-danger-angara-redux?highlight=Elaine.
As for your fighting skill, after checking out the skills equivalents pages I suggest perhaps bumping it up, if only because with one fs your character can not fight...even with high durability and strength. The Bio in of its self is actually fine.
Hope this helps.

Re: Hogan Nago, The Telekannon
Ehhh, shadow stepping isn't going to work for me. What I'm attempting to have capable of doing is simply getting high in the air quickly so he can fall onto objects or people.
Are the portal powers similar in this respect or are there distinct differences?

Re: Hogan Nago, The Telekannon
Your Teleportation only needs about 2 points in abi and minus the rearanging limbs it should be fine but you do need cool down of 1 post between each of teleport as to not spam teleport

Re: Hogan Nago, The Telekannon
What would be the maximum height I could gain from teleporting? From the two examples provided it tops out at about 30 feet. 80 tons crashing into the ground from 30 feet... I'm not sure as to what kind of damage would be experienced from that, from the perspective of trying to describe the attack. I'd hate to ask for extra work on your part but do you have any idea how that might appear? A ballpark maybe?
For cool down what you mean is:
Post w/ Teleport
Post w/ Cooldown
Post w/ Teleport
Right?

Re: Hogan Nago, The Telekannon
Occult and Intelligence are equivalent for the first three levels, so you do not need the three points in occult, you can put them to use elsewhere on your grid.

I didn't know where else to put the three points, so I guess I'll put it in Wealth, even though that makes no sense >.<

Re: Hogan Nago, The Telekannon
Just a suggestion, but you could always put them in INT and STR
