Personality:
- Spoiler:
Bs has lived in the city for a couple years becoming pretty comfortable with the wonders of Modern Civilization. She's figured out plenty about living in human society but still gets the occasional culture shock. Bs regards herself as female, it's one of a number of quirks she picked up in in the times she was a abroad, spreading chaos at the whims of mortal madmen. She's inherently curious and when not eating or thinking about eating, shes out and about. She jumps at things that seem new and refreshing to her and easy gets absorbed in drama. If she takes an interest in someone she’ll follow them around until something else catches her attention. Bs's expressions and reactions are somewhat exaggerated and she has a tendency to gesticulate, human expressions seem a little subtle to her, and try as she might, she’s libel to miss out on some social ques. Bs is fond of building up misconceptions about her true nature and powers. she has a tendency to exaggerate or understate what she can do and often plays at being something else entirely. As particular as she is, she retains some of her kinds more usual traits, Bs has a strong sadistic streak to her, terror is her preferred weapon though.
History:
- Spoiler:
Bs-Clalallaek walked at a slow pace, keeping in step with her broodbrother, Egog-lzs. She wore a small frown while staring out at the endless twilight, prison moons and dying suns just hanging about in the sky as always. Egog glanced over at her with several of his own eyes.
< You’re doing that thing with your face again.> < Yes, it’s intentional.> < Well I think it’s creepy, and not in the good way.>
Bs turned to look at Egog. He wore one of his favorite looks right now, a big bloated green body covered in eyes of every shape and spectrum, his mane of limbs writhed handsomely. As for Bs, she was made up to look like one of the fae races, only really big, bigger than Egog. She had to admit it was a dull look, distinguishing features were slight among their kind. With a sigh she pulled off her head and held it up by the hair, a smattering of blood and gore dribbled out of both ends.
< Better?> < Mm.. It is an improvement, but I have to ask, that face, it’s an unhappy one right?> < Right, I’ve been working on it, don’t you think it’s ..subtle?> < I suppose…> < I’ve been practicing some others as well.. I call that one forlong. This is brooding. here’s exited. And I call this one …Intrigued. So what do you think?> < ..I think you’ve been talking to the sacrifices.>
< Well I can’t imagine where else you’d get this sort of idea from, and if not them, then where did you learn them?>
Bs gave him her best Glare, but for his part Egog remained unfazed, she figured it needs more work. Angrily, she snatched up a sacrfice that had th misfortune to cross her path. He had clawed out his eyes some time earlier and was shrieking in tongues up until Bs popped him down her neck hole. She took her time in chewing before mustering a reply.
< Fine. you’re right, I have been chatting with them but what’s the pro->[/color] < That’s not the problem, it’s the idea, the idea of talking to them. They’re sacrifices, wailing meals on noodle legs, nothing more.. so why? why would you refrain only to listen to those unworthies?> < Because I’m bored! Bored of this whole.. *Waves head about* ..Place! I haven’t been summoned for AGES, it was an escape.> < And why do you think that is? You're always asking the masters stupid questions about the weather or hows their day been going.> < I was curious.. What’s wrong with chatting before and after the job? We do it, you do it.> < Yes, WE do it but not with them, not even the masters.> < But they’re with us though aren’t they?> < They are, but.. not really, It’s over our heads I think. You’re better off asking the big wigs.>
Ogog gestured toward one of floating mountains of tentacles lazily tracing the horizon.
< My point is the thing you’re doing here is dangerous, imitating them might not seem like a big deal but others might not see it the same way. They might see it as, you know, sedition..> < …Right.>
< *sigh* alright you’ve made your point Egog. I’ll drop it.> < Great! So what do you say we hit the gibbering fields? There’s always some choice meat around there.> < Sounds good to- ah..>
Bs felt her being shudder, not just her body but her everything shift and tremble from a force beyond this plane.
< Egog! It’s happening! I’m being summoned! I’ll take you up on that offer later, okay!?> < Alright alright, but don’t you forget about what I just told yo->
And just like that Bs was gone. she instinctively felt the route she traveled and knew almost at once that she’d been to this place before. Earth, two stars in her book, could be worse. She was begining to get a sense of herself again as she was forcefully tugged into this reality. Bs heard a human voice yelp in surprise while she was still reorienting herself. She was quick to form eyes and observe the source, a rather pathetic looking human franticly skimming through an old book, presumably her new master.
He was dressed in an odd tunic with blue trousers, were ascots out of style now? How long has it been? She really wanted to know about the ascots but decided to play it safe for now. The man eventually found the page he was after and awkwardly stammered out a tangle of words in the forbidden language. Although she couldn't make sense of his words but she figured it was the next part of the ritual. While he was busy trying out some more phrases, she took the opportunity to inspect his lair. It was strange and smallish, bigger then some but she couldn't figure out the fixtures. Some of the things were completely unknown others looked like they belonged in the kitchen, dining hall or parlor, and there was something else nagging at her while she took it all in. She looked to the area immediately around her, she saw several candles ringed around the crude pentagram she was in… and that was basically it. Bs turned her attention back to the man who was still struggling with the text, he was clearly an amateur. She would have to handle this delicately.
The man was sounding out one of the scribbles in the book right before Bs snatched it away from him and dropped it down her gullet. He stared on at her, clutching at nothing while she stepped out of the circle with brand new legs. He stumbled backwards gaping in horror. As her turned to scramble away Bs grabbed ahold of his leg and swung him into a wall. Bs paused, waiting for something to happen, but nothing did. She was still here, as she hoped there were no fail safes in place to prevent this sort of thing. He was so ill prepared she could even disembowel that sad little man without fear. Thinking about it, Bs looked over to see him cradling his head in his hands, moaning away to himself. If it was someone else here instead of Bs, anyone Bs knew, they would have already torn into the this sorry human. But then, they'd have also gone home to give a play-by-play to the fellas. But Bs was the one here and she wasn't about to start her first day with the same old thing, it helps though that she wasn't very hungry either. This was an opportunity, the first among many she didn't doubt. Today she decided she would make a friend.
The man finally managed to work up enough courage to look up and see why he wasn't dead yet. He could see nothing but Bs’s best Big Friendly Smile.
Hey.. How are you feeling?
The man responded with a faint wheeze and then went limp. Bs suspected it needed more work as well.
---------------------
It's been two years since then Bs mused, she was looking at the digital clock in the corner of the TV, when the memories just crept into her head all of a sudden. They didn't put her in a good mood, things still felt unbearably dull at times, sometimes she even missed home. The friendship with her would be Master, Stan, fell apart before even getting off the ground. With all his cringing and whining, keeping him in line with death threats was a whole lot easier. He payed the bills and she didn't eat him, not a bad deal at all really.
Bs was lying on the coach, her head propped up on one arm while the other flicked the remote. She scanned tonight's programs, but nothing interesting caught her eye. She sighed, letting her head sag around her supporting hand. Maybe she should go out tonight? If she was lucky she might catch the latest happenings in the hero world before the news highlights report it the next day. A front row seat was sounding pretty good to her and if she couldn't have it then there was always something going on in town. It was decided then.
Staaan!
Something in the kitchen crashed noisily on the ground. A moment later the nervous Stan stepped out into the main area
Y-yes Blinda?
Changed my mind, I'm eating out tonight.
Eat-eating out!?
Bs adjusted her head so she was facing Stan.
You'd rather I ate in?
He quickly shook his head and made a noncommittal sound. she turned back to the TV and thought about a good spot, she really should hit up that new Mongolian place..
The Powers
|
- Spoiler:
Power 1: Absolute Shapeshifter - Bs can freely alter any part of her body at will. Shes limited only to material forms and what she can handle with her own mental discipline. She currently cannot handle forms either too small (such as a mouse) or too large (A truck), too abstract or decentralized shapes are difficult. Bs has little understanding of human or animal physiology so assuming an overly muscular shape would be purely aesthetic and no stronger then any other form. Similarly, assuming a form of steel would only give her the absolute appearance but can't match the hardness of it. (Perfect Shape-shifting: 4 points)
Power 2:Unspeakable Biology - Bs's body is far from human, externally taking on any shape texture and pigment, while internally it resembles a thick consistent brine. She has no concept of pain but remains fully aware of her body and of other physical sensations. Bs is very difficult to damage by mundane means, one would have better luck stabbing a vat full of pudding. Bs is much more vulnerable to Inhuman amount of kinetic force, harmful energies, fire, corrosive substances and similar things. Too much damage will disable Bs, effectively knocking her out. Additionally any pieces lost from Bs's body die, retaining the shape until they begin dissolving an hour later or she eats them (the piece isn't re-added to the body, treat as food) to keep it away from pesky scientists and wizards.
Power 3: Eat to Live, Live to Eat - Bs's body works rather simply, any organic matter eaten is converted into her body mass, the digestion process works slowly though even with eating copious amounts. She is unable to digest food and shapeshift at the same time. While she does enjoy eating its also necessary as she gradually loses body mass over time (faster then someone starving themselves but still not too fast.) Whenever Bs suffers significant injury expect her to slink away to a restaurant buffet, kick back, and send the business spiraling into bankruptcy. (Slight Regeneration boost: 2 points)
