Encounter In The Forest

At hearing this, the pink-haired gal turned her gaze to meet Hana's and rose an eyebrow, she
would have to store that little bit of knowledge away for later. For now though, it was best to
try and keep a low profile. She shook her head,"I didn't say that. I only said I know how you feel.
It's hard yes, but not impossible to trust anyone,"

For a moment, she closed her eyes and reflected on her new family,"..No one can go through
life alone all the time. I speak from experience. Life's trails can be harsh, cruel even. If you're
not willing to trust at least some people..you aren't gonna get too far.."

She opened her eyes,"You speak in a way that few of your class do..you showed respect
even though we only just met..know this though..I don't want trouble.." She had complete
sincerity in her eyes,"And I don't like causing trouble..that's why I practice out here..so I
don't accidentily hurt others..life is precious after all."

Hana absorbed the explanation she gave him with an understanding nod of his head, his facial expression never changing from the one it had on before. Though, in his mind, he was rolling his eyes at the typical 'life is precious' drivel he had heard so many times before. Really, you would think these so-called heroes would grow spines already, instead of being so squeamish and hesitant about killing another living being. He didn't see what the problem was. The only reason he didn't kill anyone as that would bring unwanted attention towards his person, and he didn't like that.

Instead, he chose to respond to her compliment about the way he acted. He gave her a beaming smile, one that seemed to make his face glow. "Arigato Valkyria-San. My parents had told me that snubbing others and acting as if you were superior to everyone else would incite trouble and the ire of others. They claimed that since I was a proper lady, I shouldn't do that, and as such, had drilled manners and proper lady-like behavior into my mind until I pull them instinctively" he explained to Valkyria as he twirled his umbrella around in his hands.

All this talk about "lady-like" behaviors, and being a "proper lady" was starting to annoy
the armored warrior, but she did her best not to show it,"Well, I was always taught that
manners will get you far in life, and up till now they've served me pretty well and kept
me safe..but.."

She hesitated for a moment and looked off to the side,"Well..I know I said life is precious,
but I'm after learning that sometimes, to do the right thing, we need to be willing to
break a few rules,"

"Tell me, just out of curiosity, you find being a proper lady important right? Well..if the
time ever comes that you need to defend what's important to you..would You be willing
to break some of those rules?"

Hana silently raised an eyebrow at her making a comment about how she was learning that sometimes, you had to break a few rules in order to get things done. For once, Hana wasn't actively mocking or insulting heroes in his mind, as clearly one of them was starting to smarten up and realize that sometimes, some people deserved death. Only fools would let certain people live after it was already established that they would hurt and kill as many people if they pleased. It was nice to know that not every hero thought like that.

Hana shrugged his shoulders when she asked him if he would willing to fight and break a few rules if it was important to him. Of course he would, that was something his parents would never be able to get out of him. After all, down to his very soul, he was a selfish person, and if someone threatened to take something or someone that he possessed, he would put them down permanently if need be. "Perhaps, if the gains outweighed the costs. My parents did say I should only do something if I get more out of it than I lose" he said to her with a nonchalant expression.

Valkyria listened to her reply. It was..good..but didn't have the same level of emotion, it sounded
more like an off-hand type of comment,"Huh..I see.." She didn't seem completely convinced,but
than again this "Hana" was proving to be quite an enigma.

That, and it was getting quite late, if she was heading back home, she'd best do so soon,"...Well, I
must admit, even though I didn't get as much practice as I would've liked..this has proven to be
a..very interesting and enlightening evening..." She meant it too. It wasn't often she got to have
something resembling a deep conversation with someone.

Hana smiled pleasantly and nodded at Valkyria to show that he agreed. Now that he took the time to look at the color of the sky, it was getting rather late in his opinion. He figured it was time to leave, and as such proceeded to give the woman his goodbyes. "Yes, you are right. It is about time for me to get back home. Good day Valkyria-San" he said to her as he politely curtsied to her and started to walk away.

Valkyria watched the gal disappear into the darkness of the wood,"Yeah..same here..see
ya around,Hana.." She turned and walked away as well, yet she couldn't shake the feeling
that this wasn't the end.

That Hana was hiding something, he felt it in his gut..and his gut was also telling him that,
aside from he should get something to eat, that this wouldn't be the last they saw of each
other..not by a long shot.

Valkyria lifted off into the sky and jetted off back home, still feeling the sensation that
a storm was on the horizon...
