Prologue:

Drake was finally getting a night off, the air was cool and music was blaring in the background. He had had to double his heroics. Random humans were developing meta-human powers and most of them had been using them for their own personal gain. He had been working for Dr. Crave and trying to find the connection between each human developing powers. But he had to stop thinking about work. He was in line for the nightclub with his hot girlfriend Chloe, what a great way to have the night off.
