Clarent, Blade of the Black Knight (Item)

Abilities:

The Sword Hungers- With each drop of blood Clarent draws from friend or foe, the blade increases in size (though not weight) to a maximum of seven feet long and one foot thick, though it retains its cutting edge. The amount it grows depends tremendously on how much blood it draws. Small wounds mean small increases, larger wounds mean larger increases. Size remains for the duration of combat. Once combat ends, size reverts.
The Sword that Killed King Arthur- Clarent is an ancient, evil weapon dipped in the holy blood of a God's chosen. The weapon is nigh unbreakable.
Voices in Your Head- Clarent is an intelligent blade with a black soul, capable of whispering its evil influence into the bearers mind.
Chained- Clarent's wielder has a chain embedded into their flesh that seems to be broken. However, this chain is connected to the void where Clarent resides, and pulls the blade through to the wielder at a moments notice (should Clarent allow it).
Unholy Wrath- Clarent is more effective against enemies aligned with 'holy forces'. However, its wielder suffers a vulnerability to these same forces.
Resonance- Clarent's chain glows when holy artifacts are nearby. When the sword Excalibur or any related artifacts are in the vicinity, the chain causes the bearer's arm to undergo an intense burning sensation (meant to drive them to anger).

Description: During Jericho's siege on the city Aramayt, the twin swords Excalibur and Clarent chose wielders to embody their power. Clarent chose Alexander as its champion with the intent of devouring his soul and taking his body, intending to bind itself to him and control him as the new Black Knight. Instead, since Alexander possessed no soul (or few insignificant scraps after it was devoured by the curse afflicting him) and Clarent found itself bound to a vessel that was immune to its previous methods of control. Clarent seeks to turn Alexander into the new Black Knight, to oppose the champion Paladin chosen by its brother blade Excalibur.
