The Legacy

Personality:Charles used to be an average person, just like you and me, but as of now he's changed. In his fruitless pursuit of knowledge he has left his family and friends behind and he is now a lonely and bitter old man. His obsession with gaining knowledge has made him incredibly determined and woe betide the fool that stands in his way. He is incredibly paranoid, always suspicious of people and always acts like he's trying to hide something, which he often is. His vast knowledge of the occult has given him many nightmares and he often wakes up in the middle of the night screaming. He tends to sit on near his window in a catatonic state, though no one knows what exactly he's thinking about.

History:Charles was born in London to rich parents. He was a happy and an incredibly smart child. When he grew up, he went to Oxford and studied there, and it was where he met his best friend, George. He and George had developed an obsession with the occult and studied for hours about it. They wanted knowledge. Not just the basic knowledge of the occult, but all of it. Charles' obsession had driven away his family and he spent hours secluded in his house doing research. Charles and George traveled the world, looking for anyone that could help them in their quest. They met a mysterious old man in Cairo, who gave them a magical box which he told would answer all of his questions. Charles and George went to Charle's house in London and did a ritual which opened the box. What happened next would shape Charles' future forever. As they looked at the contents of the box, George was completely obliterated, not a trace of him was left. Charles was severely injured and had both of his legs permanently crippled. When asked what exactly happened, Charles would never answer. He knew that they wouldn't understand. He had to keep the secret of what happened with himself. Despite the horrific incident, Charles was not deterred in his pursuits and kept on studying, knowing that it was what George would have wanted. Over the years, Charles knowledge grew and grew, and he managed to make multiple trinkets and items that were powered by magic. During a visit to Africa, Charles had gained the ability to summon creatures from another realm and command them to do his bidding. He know lives in a small cottage in the Scottish countryside, hoping to gain more knowledge.
