I did read that. That is why I am wondering why I was linked to character with this setup

Yeah so starting out I can only have a max 8 points to distribute among my abilities unlike this other person I presume? OR can I have up to four abilities each with a rank of 8, with the exception of the last ability obviously.

Each power is its own ability stat so you can put up to 8 points to start off with in each power so long as you're able to afford it overall with 30 points total available to be spent between all of your stats.

So I can't have an occult or ability of 10 starting off?

No you can't. Nothing higher than 8 to start off with. I was just using that app to display how to split abilities.

I want my character to be able to summon a sort of psychic projection as a minion but have it act only semi autonomous from them, with a very limited range. If I self impose weaknesses on my character and minion can that minions stats go above the standard rank of 6?

Also can I use an ability to drain others and empower myself or minion? Say, like if I wanted to make a sort of vampiric character, could I utilize the power to drain victims of their "fluids" in order to temporarily raise stats?

As my minion is actually a part of my power set I want to be able to grow along with me and elect to impart exp into upgrading said minion.

Just want to get some thoughts on that.

No lowering other peoples stats; or harming them to increase your own.

If you make your app with the idea you have for your minion, however, I'll check over it and explain what is wrong, if there is anything, when you do. :]

Also, I suppose your minion could have a regular NPC grid as it grows; and eventually gain a starter char grid or something when it comes to stats. But for now, I'd like to see your app. So, if you're confident with what you have so far, put it as a WIP. :]

So I couldn't play a vampire character that drains blood in order to gain his strength or heal himself? Like be able to drain NPCs and be able to at least "Fatigue" Player characters, not so much as harm since we can't kill each others characters anyway lol. Just want a way to make my character threatening without resorting to useless things like fireball chunking in a game were something of that nature would be utterly meaningless.

Gotta do some shopping but I will post what I have later.
