The force of the blow shattered bits of pieces of falling rock about them as well as the odd robotic cameraman who didn't get out of the way in time.

It all happened in a moment and then both contestants plummeted into the black waters below. Floating in space for a moment, Bethany scarcely knew where she was. It was cold and dark. She couldn't breath. Her arm, coming down from being numbed out by the blow, had fractured. She could feel it. A boxer's fracture meant she couldn't throw punches for quite a bit. At some point it would numb up and she could throw it twice as hard as long as she didn't care about further injury, but for now it was far from combat ready. Her shoulder hurt something fierce as well, but she didn't know the extent of that injury. Bethany took a few precious moments to get her bearings.

It was pitch black, which actually worked in her favor here. With her Momentum Sense, she could see about her as long as she was moving. There was no way to move as fast under water as on land, but she could still propel herself extremely quickly through the waves like a high speed torpedo. A "sprint" up towards the top to get a large gulp of breath with only her lips parting the water, she'd submerge beneath the ocean once more. She's come so far now. The underdog bet still had a chance if she could work this right. Everywhere around them pieces of debris clustered about, half of it sinking, half of it floating around. There's only one way to play this now. Not with force, but with tactics.

Cain, while still recovering from hitting the ice cold darkness, may feel a sudden powerful pull on his ankle straight downward into the ocean. This would cause his entire body to be "thrown" down into the abyss. As he would try and resurface, he'd begin to encounter a multitude of obstacles. There was no seeing down there. He'd have to blindly reach out with his shadows and Bethany could see those with her Momentum Sense. Obstacles wise, large remnants of the floating island were being launched underwater right at his body, keeping him underwater without letting him have the chance to get up for air. Large pieces of debris would be pushed against his body downward in a disorienting spiral, not knowing which way was up or down without sight.

Bethany sped to the surface when she needed it to take quick gulps of air and she'd be back to work. Shoving, piling, crushing and launching the remains of the island to send Cain down further and further into the ocean...

Wiping his eyes Cain looked around for Bethany but of course he didn’t see anything, why would anything start to go his way now? Was the underdog dead, did she drown, or was she plotting some crazy ass tactic once more that could possibly lead to Cain’s defeat? He wasn’t sure but what he did know was that if he didn’t move soon he’d be in a hell of a lot of trouble because they were essentially sitting ducks and as far as he knew there was no getting back up to the Coloseeum without a teleporter. Sure, he could use a shadow monster to take him up there but he was pretty sure it would count as cheating if he had a minion do even the smallest of things.

That was the last thought that went through Cain’s mind as he felt his leg get grabbed and he was pulled under the water and ‘thrown’ down into the abyss. For most people their first reaction would be to freak out and swim up to the top but Cain didn’t do that. No, he knew he could hold his breath slightly longer than the average human, not by much but just enough for him to curl up into a ball. Once in said curled up motion he flung his arms and legs out, shadow like tendrils or spikes flying out from where he was in every direction. They destroyed everything in their path’s obliterating everything in every direction. They not only did that but they flung Cain out of the water and into the air. There he could see the tiny little derbies no bigger than pebbles now and Bethany coming up for air.

In the air he fell once more, but as he did so he sent a shadow like hand soaring out to grab Bethany and pull her under with him. Not even five seconds later he himself went under, the hand going down as well. He swam to the top and breathed in the fresh air as he kept the shadow hand underwater, holding tight. He wasn’t sure if she was in the hand or not but he held it under. For a minute he held it there, one long minute he kept the hand under water before having it ‘rip’ out of the water and release its grip on whatever it was it was holding. Whether it be Wrecking Ball or not.

Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.

Fortunately for Bethany she got a nice lungful of air before Cain's shadow hand pushed her deep under the waves. So far down in fact that they hit a large piece of bedrock far below the surface of the waters. And there Bethany was stuck until further notice. With her breath held, she had a nice long time to think of a way out of this. Nothing ruins the day like being trapped beneath a damn ocean. At least with her powerfully durable body, she's immune to the bends. That shit isn't fun. Think, Beth...think. With her eyes closed, she reached out with her Momentum Sense, scanning her immediate area. Some bubbles coming up from the cracks of the bedrock. The remains of the arena. The robotic leftovers of some cameramen. Oh yeah, and a giant supernatural shadow hand. Can't forget that.

Wait...bubbles coming out of the bedrock!?

Bethany's eyes snapped open as she passed a hand over the bubbles. Yes. YES. They were warm. That only meant one thing. Going on instinct, the resourceful heroine threw together one hell of a plan. Pushing her hands into the bedrock beneath her, our girl would slide out from beneath the grasp of the shadow into the ocean's terrain itself, much like she did in the arena. This broke apart the crevice in which the bubbles were escaping, leaving a much larger stream of warm expulsions. Bethany worked fast; who knew how long Cain would try and keep her under water? Gathering one of the last good sized pieces of solid arena debris, Bethany readied it above her head. Time to put some basic science class theories to work. With her remaining hand, she took hold of the remains of a robotic carcass. There were some stray blips and lights coming off its camera. Good. It was semi-functioning.

If there was enough air to do it, she'd make some kind of snappy one liner.

With one quick motion, Bethany crushes the robot in her hand, causing an electrical spark in the methane stream. At the same moment, she launched the huge piece of arena above her whilst leaping to hang onto it. For awhile she and the debris hung in the water...did it not work--EXPLOSIONS. FUCKING. EVERYWHERE. If Bethany would ever scream like a little girl, now would be the time she'd do it. Alone in the dark ocean with no one to see. Fortunately there wasn't enough air to do that. People would probably see this underwater explosion from the coast even. The ocean literally tore itself a new asshole where the immediate area was, the concentrated methane leak exploding beneath the waves. This caused incredible pressure to launch the waters around it in every direction and propelled the landmass Bethany was riding straight through the surface and into the night air. Cain would find himself in the middle of shits-ville-USA as pieces of shattered debris, sea life and a plethora of other things began bursting forth from the ocean. Oh and fire. Did we mention fire? There's been a lot of that this match. The sound of the explosion and the resulting tsunami sized wave that would fall right on top of Cain's head would hopefully mask Bethany's ascent into the air via flying rock car.

At her ride's apex, Bethany would launch herself as hard and as fast as she could into the air straight at the barest, skeletal remnants of floating arena in the air which at this point was nothing more than maybe a floating generator and some pipeline. With the velocity the methane explosion carried along with her superhuman strength and speed, and if all things went according to plan, she would manage to embed her hand into the steel remnants of the floating arena. So here's her plan. As far as she's concerned, if Cain's in the water and can't get back up without using a shadow minion to cheat...he's ringed out. Or she'll wait for sunrise. Either way, she begins climbing back onto the pipeline.

((Just for clarification there are no ring outs and if someone dies in the tournament or is badly injuries they are healed after the battle by the tournament healer who has 10 abi healing))
Explosions, fire, flying derbies, oh and did he mention the tidal waves? All of that Cain had to sit through because the fool set off an explosion somehow under the water, everything had blown up around him and Cain merely sat there watching her wanton and pointless destruction. Not even he, the bloody bandit, the London Vampire, caused so much pointless destruction; yet she called herself the hero? A chuckle escaped his lips as a wave rose him into the sky and using the waves own shadow he pushed himself even higher. Up and up he went until finally he soared back into the Colosseum; giving Beth a nice salute and shadow spear aimed straight towards he back. He was not amused by her tricks.

Landing down above where the floor used to be shadows spread out from his feet lining up and filling up the arena's floor. If she made it in they would be fighting on his terms now and no one else's. Everything that was done from here on out would be done his way, she was no longer just the underdog. No, she was also fighting The Lord of Shadows in his domain. "Come out, come out wherever you are my pretty; Cainey wants to play...." He cooed loud enough for anyone to hear. As soon as her feet touched down on the shadowy arena he would feel it and she would be finished. A thousand shadow swords would form and fly out after her, she was not going to get out of this unscarred. He was ending this now.

((As much as I hate to say it has it has been Ten days sense your last post, you are disqualified and Cain wins by default. Sorry WB, I thought you might have had a chance. Cain advances, and dot worry ill make sure the ending was terrific. Collect your exp.))
