Description

PLAGUE is a moniker employed by a conspicuous individual of undetermined origins, though it is speculated he is of European descent. All attempts to analyze his vocal methods and mannerisms come to trace back to dead ends or more questions, most notable of them being: why does he do what he does? The man, as it has been identified as male, is identified as dangerous. 'Plague' is typically seen wearing a mask that is reminiscent of a plague doctor of the Middle Ages. Whether or not it is for show, related to the individual, and/or employed for a certain function is still being debated. Encounters with the individual suggests that the mask may have certain uses, as it rendered the man resistant to gas and chemical-based warfare. Speculation suggests that it distorts the man's voice as to keep his true identity anonymous. Though still some psychological analysts believe Plague uses the mask because of some psychological relation with the image or mask itself.

Coupled with the mask is usually a dark hat and a black cloak, further obscuring his characteristics and leaving his real identity harder to reveal. It is clear that in order to identify Plague, he would need to be captured and held. However, Plague has been seen wearing a black suit on multiple occasions. His fingers have been spotted, and it is fair to say that he is caucasian. Often, Plague is seen with a cane, which is made of titanium with an outer layer of black-dyed ashwood. It is an object Plague employs as his self-defense, displaying knowledge of the old British martial arts known as Bartitsu. Plague is known to also employ aspects of jujitsu and judo as well. Plague has fast reflexes, causing him to prove to be a challenging opponent in close combat. Occasionally, Plague utilizes a bow, displaying very good marksmanship. Speculation is that he prefers archery to firearms. Plague has extensive medical knowledge and many contemplate that he also has various drugs and chemicals at his disposal, such to be obtained from having a medical license. Having acquired various wounds and injuries in his campaign, he is believed to have attended to them by himself.

His appearance was described as not bulky, and results show that Plague is not abnormally strong, though it is clear that he is very physically fit. In order to perform strenuous activities in some less maneuverable clothing whilst avoiding both capture denotes some experience and skill. Plague is not identified as a crimefighter, as Plague has been known not to specifically target bad people. Under the law, Plague is considered a criminal, but he is not thought to conspire against the country nor use his skills to perform theft.

Psychoanalysis

Plague's motivations are largely unknown, and his alignment is equally disputed. All of the following is pure conjecture.

Psychologists believe that Plague is a lost individual. This theory was thought to be created as to explain the erratic behavior and recorded appearances of Plague. A well-driven and goal-oriented costumed danger to society would appear on several areas consistently with at the very least organized intervals of absence. The victims would also align accordingly to provide an idea on what the perpetrator is attempting to achieve. Personal vendetta, an organizational assignment, and crime are all common causes of donning an alias and taking to the streets, however, with Plague, there seems to be no connections whatsoever. They declare this to mean that perhaps Plague is searching for a purpose in the turbulent world of metahumans.

However, his motivation or reasons are unclear that psychologists can only conceive the possibility that there may be none. The victims could be results from 'heat of the moment' situations. Perhaps Plague could have a violence disorder. Having survived so long without much falter to his desire to 'costume up', we believe he may also be a metahuman. No records to our clearance have given us a clue on who he is, so speculation states he was either raised, trained, or naturally extraordinary.

Plague may be experiencing post-traumatic disorder, as the training may suggest military training-though many analysts reject it for numerous other reasons. Instead, others think Plague to have received training from a military man, though never entering a national military. Having extensive medical knowledge offers much affirmation to this, because the object of marching off to war and attending wounded individuals have two very different mindsets. We have reason to believe Plague has neither.

The supposition is so dramatically different from a variety of our behavioral analysts that we have come to declare theory on Plague's psychology counterproductive. Thus the psychoanalysis cannot move forthwith without further evidence.

Power/Skills: Plague has advanced reflexes and speed, much more then the average human being. His medical, mechanical, and chemical language is also advanced. Plague is a linguist, knowing English, French, Latin, Italian, Spanish, Mandarin, and Russian fluently. In short, he is a highly intelligent individual. His fighting skill is extensive, and he has good durability as well as strength.
