Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

The Mysterious Miss Magus' Invitation
I n f o r m a t i o n
Reason for this quest:
A mysterious figure calling herself "Miss Magus" has left messages scattered across the internet, newspapers, and even burned into walls. The messages, written in seemingly indecipherable language, can only be read by those who know the occult languages used. Even for those in the know, the messages are hard to decipher. They describe some sort of magical contest, and invites the world's greatest mages to come prove who is truly the greatest. Though it specifically says Miss Magus is not looking for mere brute strength, it warns to be prepared for "the final test." It promises a valuable award to whoever proves to be the supreme sorcerer.
Requirements:
Characters must have at least 4 Occult to be able to decipher Miss Magus' message. (Characters with 8 Occ or higher may pm me for a more detailed version, as they would be able to decipher the entire message.)
Basically, you should:

There's much more than meets the eye here. Miss Magus' identity and true motives are unknown, and will only be revealed in the quest! Players should be prepared for solving a simple puzzle or two, and at least one boss battle though the quest will still be largely dialogue. Suitable for the storytellers on SHRPG. (But that's all of us, right?)

Re: The Mysterious Miss Magus' Invitation
Mr. E is all about the Occult, but he doesn't have any spells he can whip up on the fly. All his magic he puts into gear. Would I absolutely need magic? Or would a detective noir-esque character on a hunt for the truth be able to participate?

Re: The Mysterious Miss Magus' Invitation
As long as he has at least 4 occult, he can participate. He would be able to interpret the hidden messages, so it would make sense that he would try to investigate.
and there's definitely plenty of mystery afoot. so a detective wouldn't be entirely out of place.
