Sexual Content 2: Sexual content is permitted. References and writing about genitalia and sex acts are permitted, but explicit detail is not. Fade to black, or use the dotdotdot rule. (Let's keep it PG-13.)
Violence 2: Graphic violence is permitted. Explicit description or in-game narration violence is allowed.
Despite these ratings, keep in mind that there is a limit, and you should not cross it just to garner attention. Also, resorting to curse words is also like adding senseless fluff to your posts.

The Legacy |
Personality: To those who knew the TV personality, Kent Journey seemed to be a gruff, serious type. Always on his crusade for the truth and for true Justice to be dealt. That is how Kent was always portrayed. That, however, was only Kent's TV personality. His producers left alot of things out of Kent's TV Personality. For example, the wreckless way he almost always walks into situations. His lack of concern for his own wellbeing. It almost seemed as if Kent had a deathwish. The truth is, Kent is just that cocky. He is always six steps ahead of his enemies and four steps ahead of everyone else. Kent has little trust for anyone, especially so called 'heroes'. He believes that they are all fueled by glory and no actual cause to justice. Many call Kent himself a hero, because he does fight crime, but he wouldn't call himself a hero. He fights crime so he can expose it, and expose the heroes that fight it as well. Kent acts like a superhero while doing his job, but doesn't see any reason to hide his identity and he doesn't identify as a superhero. Summed up, Kent is his fight for the Truth. Justice is good to him too, but Truth is the overall sum of what he does. He may not be well liked among the superhero community, but Kent doesn't care. If you are doing things for the right reason, you have no reason to fear him. That is Kent's sentiments. Kent does, however, take advantage of his fame to a degree. Yes, he rants about heroes being in it for the glory, but he can't count how many times he's brought home a girl based solely on the fact that he is Kent Journey. History: Kent's story isn't one of tragedy. It isn't one of loss, or of failing. Kent's story is more of a rags to riches story, fueled by one man that Kent had a particular resentment for. His father, James Journey. James was a famous superhero until his retirement known as Majestic Man. Majestic Man was in the news constantly for his heroic deeds, but the man barely did a thing. He set up events so that he appeared to be the hero. His arch-enemies were actually his friends and he would spent his nights drinking with the very same 'villains' he had fought the day before. It was a perfect scheme and to his son's dismay, his father was never caught. Kent's father used this ruse to bring his family for being dirt poor, to a life of relative luxary. Something that never sat well with Kent. Kent's father was based in New York City, but they lived in New Jersey and that's where Kent spent his days. Kent was a genius, and despite his father's near criminal ways, he wanted his son to be ready for anything. He gave him the best schooling, found him the best martial arts instructors, and even got him an Internship with some mad scientists and evil geniuses. Okay, they were actually slightly unstable scientists and non-reputable geniuses, but the public didn't have to know that. With his odd tutors and own capacity for genius, Kent graduated college at the age of 19. He immediately went into the media business and cut all ties with his father financially. That is to say, he never accepted a dime of his father's dishonestly acquired fortune. Kent made his millions all on his own. He still talks to his old man, and retains a close bond to his entire family. He may not have approved of his father's scheming ways, but it put food on the table and the man never let his family want for anything, so he couldn't be that mad at his dad. He just didn't like the heroes like his father, taking advantage of people's trust. Kent worked in several news channels as advisers, researches, and even a few times as field reporters. Kent made additional money on the side through various inventions, investments, and business ventures. He currently owns at least two restaurants in New York City, and several around the world, as well as various electronics stores, specialty stores, and even a Cigar Shop chain, and his own Cigar line. Kent does enjoy his cigars. Eventually Kent's personality behind the TV screen and his own overzealous reporting style earned him his own TV show at the age of 26. Journey to the Truth. In this show, Kent reports both behind a desk as well as goes right along with superheroes on various missions to report the truth. Kent often shows up without warning and without any explanation and records heroes doing what they do best, and other less mentionable things that he might catch them doing. Kent uses his own keen detection and fighting skills to keep on par with most superheroes, as well as a few minor powers that he developed from his father's genes. Kent has his own penthouse, which acts both as his home and base of operations and his own personal plane to get him to the action. As of now he is still based in New York, operating his TV show, while being very active in the Superhero community at the same time. It hasn't earned him many friends, but has garnered him alot of enemies, especially among heroes. |
