Physical Appearance:
Jack's physical appearance isn't particularly impressive, and not as extravagant as that of most metahumans. Although he is tall and rather handsome, he has a melancholy air about him and doesn't really play up any of his physical attributes. Though he is at peak human physicality, his body is nothing compared to that of this universe's original Jack Maroon. The magic rituals that have granted him control over the magecraft he uses, and the one the ritual that transferred him into this universe have weakened his physical form.
Jack usually wears a dark suit and coat, enchanted with magic to withstand friction, tearing and magical energies.

Personality:
Jack Maroon is a quiet, contemplative individual who can be described as stoic and brooding. Has a cynical attitude towards life which would almost make one think he doesn't even believe in his own ideals anymore, if it weren't for his zealous devotion to his cause and ideals of heroism.
He is generally distrustful of others, and is terrible at teamwork. His leadership capabilities are excellent only in the sense that he is able to use others as tools very efficiently, but disregards all personal aspects of team dynamic.
Despite this, Jack is not mean or malevolent in any way. He adheres to a somewhat utilitarian philosophy, believing the end justifies the means. In order to save the maximum amount of people, achieve the max happiness for the world, he would stoop to any lows and would violate the sanctity of human life willingly.
He has no reservations in killing supervillains, as they exemplify the idea of one person endangering many. His modus operandi varies according to his targets. He will always carefully research his enemies before striking, and will use any means necessary to completely destroy his enemies.

Unlike this universe's original Jack Maroon, he does not possess any concept of warrior's honor, and has no reservations with killing innocents, so long as it is for the greater good. However, he also does not share the pride and pleasure Jack Maroon original takes in combat and killing. In fact, Jack Alter resents the deed of killing greatly, but considers all the guilt and sorrow to be the burden he must carry in order to be a superhero who saves life.
The original Jack Maroon, in stark contrast to Jack Alter, had little morality and cared only for himself. Jack Alter is almost selfless, even disregarding his own emotions and desires for what he believes to be the greater good.

After his own world was destroyed by Holocaust and his allies, Jack Alter has grown more extreme in his conviction, and even more ruthless in his methods.

History:
In the alternate dimension where this Jack came from, his parents were extremely wealthy as well, but actually raised him well instead of ignoring him. From a young age, Jack was educated in philosophy, ethics and many other subjects by his parents. His upbringing was strict, but not overly so, and overall his childhood was a happy one. Until the day Brock O'Day decided to take his parents' fortune for himself. He threatened them into relinquishing their control over their funds and company to him in their will, otherwise killing Jack. After killing them, he did keep his word, having no reason to kill the orphaned boy.
That night, the boy made a wish upon a falling star to become a superhero who would save people. But nothing happened. From that moment, Jack understood he had to do it by himself. With the limited funds he was left (a few million dollars), Jack trained himself in martial arts, and eventually managed to study magic under the Caster family, relinquishing all the money he had left to them as payment.
In order to increase his magic potential, several rituals were performed on him, doing the intended but also shortening his lifespan.
Jack eventually did become a superhero in his own way, though it came at a high cost. Usage of his powers weakened him, and his physical constitution began to weaken, being unable to take all the magical power well.
When the Battle of New York came, which started Holocaust's ascent to power, he was crippled in battle, and only barely managed to escape with his life. Unable to continue the good fight, and sensing that the world was doomed, he stayed in the shadows. Eventually he figured out the Talons' plan to leave this planet and conquer an alternate dimension, Jack devised a method to beat them to it.
Using a complex and powerful magical ritual, he killed himself, sent his will into the Soul Stream and managed to reincarnate himself into the living body of his alternate self, taking over his soul and overwriting his mind and body with his own (albeit not crippled this time).
Miraculously he managed to do this. The alternate Jack's body appeared to accept his magical powers much better, and though it lowered his physical properties to human levels it made him stronger in the end. Having failed to save his own world, he's now given himself a second chance to save the world, albeit another version of it.

Heroic Aspect Summoning(7 EP)

Jack can re-distribute his 7 ep points among his STR, DUR and SPD at will. This effect only lasts for a maximum of 3 posts, with a cooldown period equal to the duration. When it has been activated, the points can't be swapped around anymore until the next use.
Jack has several EP items he can summon, though these have even more limited duration than his redistribution power. For more information see paraphernalia.

Epic Skills(7 FS)

When in combat, Jack can perceive the movements of the world around him with such clarity that they seem to be in slow-motion. This does not alter his own speed however, and perceiving a bullet's trajectory is very, very different from being able to dodge it. Though it certainly helps.
Jack Alter was already trained in combat (4 fs), specializing in mostly military CQC, Krav Maga and the usage of firearms, but with original Jack's power flowing into him, Jack Alter now has mastery over a vast amount of martial arts and combat disciplines that synergize with each other to give him the edge in pretty much all combat situations.
Jack's aim with firearms is impeccable, and could even be said to surpass his skill in close quarters combat. This is because Jack Alter prioritized the usage of firearms above melee before the skill transfer.
Jack is proficient in executing covert operations and has trained in the art of stealth.

Paraphernalia

Der Freischütz(7 EP)
Shaped like a Thompson Contender, a one-shot break-open pistol, this is one of Jack's favored heroic weapons. The gun fires magical bullets that when shot, begin to erratically flit around, adjusting their course of their own accord. However, its true trajectory is always in a straight line to where it was aimed, the flitting around being only a distraction. The bullet shimmers with bright blue light, again to confuse opponents. The bullets punch a clean hole of their own size through whatever they hit, but only against living creatures. Otherwise the bullets disappear on impact.
Der Freischütz can only be shot seven times, after which it will disappear and become unavailable for summoning for the rest of the thread. It must be loaded with normal .308 Winchester cartridges. Due to the limited area of impact the bullets have, the weapon is ineffective against opponents with regenerative abilities unless shot through the brain.

Carnwennan(7 EP)
A long decorated combat dagger that can cut through any shields or durability, supernatural and mundane. Beyond this, it's just a dagger and the inflicted damage depends on the skill of the user and where it hits. This weapons lasts for 3 posts, after which it can no longer be summoned for the duration of the thread.

Gandiva[(7 EP)
A golden decorated longbow with radiant ends that fires magical arrows. These arrows cannot directly harm any living creature, but will destroy anything else with a giant and powerful explosion upon impact (the explosion itself also does no harm). Can be fired thrice before disappearing, after which it can no longer be summoned for the duration of the thread.
-Cannot be used while power redistribution is in effect.

Aegis(7 EP)
A magical shield that nullifies almost all damage inflicted at it (only lets through a small part of level 6 and 7 attacks). Lasts for 1 post, after which it can no longer be summoned for the duration of the thread.

Hero's Reward(7EP)
Jack's personal heroic weapon, a large rock tombstone shaped like a giant sword, with the name 'Jack Maroon' scratched out and painted over in blood with the text 'Justice'. This weapon comes in 3 forms: 20 tons for 5 STR, 50 tons for 6 STR, 100 tons for 7 STR.
-Can only be used when Jack has a minimum of 5 STR during power redistribution mode.

Calico M950(3 INT)
A semi-automatic pistol that is also sometimes classified as a carbine. It holds 100 rounds and shoots at 700 rounds per minute.

I have no issues with this app, but INT users cannot have multiple 7 INT weapons that increase stats.. so, as long as these weapons don't increase any of your stats or etc, I'm cool with this.. Razz
