Kongamato

I linked up some stuff I found on real animals, and came up with a Hero that could, in theory anyway, work.

Real Name: Jack Skrubbs
Super Hero Name: Kongamato
Title: K.M. (First letter of the first part, first letter of the second part.)
Alignment: Renegade (Works for the US Army, Follows Their Code.)
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Race: Was white, now mostly green
Hair: none, but a neck protecting Crest now grows where it once was
Eyes: Yellow, with cat-eye slit pupils
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 98 lbs. (Honeycomb Bones Adapted for flight)

Costume Description: Resembling a humanoid pterosaur, Jack choses to be more practical with his choice of costume, wearing his sturdy cotton short sleeve Army PT tee shirt and a pair of ACU pants turned into board shorts. He does not wear shoes, needing to keep his lower claws readily available for use. He wears his dog tags around his neck.

Personality: Folksy, mostly passive, well disciplined, snarky, and well-educated. Very Minnesotan.

History: Specialist Jack Skrubbs was a (Mediocre, but hard-working) medic for the 259th Area Support medical company in the United States Army, when a very large cyclone hit the African Nation of Angola. Tapped to assist in the disaster relief, the 259th went to the western most area of Angola affected by the Storm. Spc. Skrubbs was asked to retrieve some water from a nearby river. When he tried to get the water, he accidently disturbed an avian-saurian creature known as Kongamato, the Breaker of Boats. Receiving several bites and scratches from said beastie, Jack rushed back to the village he was working with and reported the incident to his superiors, who treated his injuries and tried to get back to his work. After a few days the bite wounds healed over, but the skin started to become green and squamous. Fearing infection, the 259th command shipped him to Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas for examination. Jacks over the next two weeks, had turned in to a humanoid Pterodactyl, complete with sonic screech and battering tail, the result of a retro-virus that Kongamato had transferred to him via bite with bleeding gums. Now working a PR man for the US Army, Jack, taking the name his attacker went by, now fights Crime for the love of the US Army, and an odd sense of Duty.

Powers: Sustainable Fight (200 MPH in a good swoop), sonic screech (EP, See below), claws, battering tail, a quick wit, fast(ish) healing, sharp beak, zero degree turning circle, Arial combat.

As part of being built to fly, KM's lungs where enlarged to hold more air to make it easier to keep aloft. This excess air serves no necessary function and only serves to keep him more buoyant, but it can be used to unleash a cry so loud that it can burst eardrums if pointed in the right direction. It can only really be used as a distraction, but he can do damage with it. He can use it while flying.

Character Image/Description: Kongamato’s body is humanoid, thin and streamlined, designed for flight, the overlapping scales on his body are so fine, that they blend together at any distance over 2 feet, his whole body has a greenish-brown color to it. His pinky and ring fingers on both hands have fused and extended two feet, increasing his max wing span to 10 feet, the membranes between his furthest points to his bulk is a darker brown and tough, being able to repel all but the sharpest knives, on the apex of his arms (where his hands were) he still has his middle and index fingers and his thumbs. His knees bend back ward, making a thunderbolt shape, and allowing for maximum jumping power, allowing for quick take offs and landings. His claws on both his hands and feet are sharp, curved and black, like a raptors. His head is cone shaped with a beak like a pteronodon, with a neck protecting crest on the top of his head. His tail has a spade like appendage on the tip that can be used as a blunt weapon.

Jack was nervous, anyone would be. When 3 star Generals are watching your every move to determine your fate. Jack gulped as he shuffled to the starting line, there was a 45 foot drop to the earth below. Jack inhaled heavily.
"Ok Specialist Skrubbs, let see what your made of. The Cameras are rolling." the PA System blared.
Jack exhaled and dove, forcing his wings out almost immediately, he had 35 feet to the ground, lowing his altitude quickly he flew a foot off the ground at 60 mph. the grass hadn't been mowed so the tall stuff hit him in the chest. After he passed a chalk line in the grass, he rose to 10 feet of the ground and flapped hard, the clay projectiles aimed at him were too slow and he avoided all of them. He passed another Chalk line and raised his altitude to 100ft, and he slowed his speed to stationary. as he waited for the third test. The flares had caught him of guard, but he adapted quickly and swooped past them all and buzzed the firing devise signaling to the soldiers manning it to cease firing. He broke softly and landed on his feet. He tilted his head to the PA speaker with baited Breath.

One thing; could you mayhaps give us a picture of his anthropromorphic form? It'd be helpful. I understand your avatar is slightly what he resembles, yes? If so, it'd be nice to have it in his profile.

The Sonic Screech is the easy part. As part of being built to fly, KM's lungs where enlarged to hold more air to make it easier to keep aloft. It can only really be used as a distraction, but he can do damage with it, so I gave it a 2 on the power grid as his energy Manipulation.

As for the picture, eh... I'll do what I can.

Edited, He's a Hero, for the most part. if he's told to do something by his Chain of Command, he'll obey it unless it's a immoral order. It's the Army way.

So he'd be a Neutral Good, then? (:
