In the Sewers

Edward was in New York for weeks and hadn't rested since he gotten there, around ever corner there was police, heroes or more people that he could turn into what makes him so powerful, he was walking from alleyway to alleyway staying out of sight. Edward started to feel dizzy and collapsed in a alleyway, exhaustion finally caught up with him and he fell and his back and was knocked unconscious. He slept for what seemed to be days and ended up awaking days later in the same alleyway, but he was covered in a blanket. He laughed, humans showing pity on him. Their mistake. He looked around eyes blurred and saw large claw like footprints leading into a sewer. Curiousness prevailed again with Edward, and he went to investigate.

Edward climbed the rusted ladder down, getting a green goo on him. He didn't even want to know where it came from. Even Edward wasn't impervious to the rotting horrid smell of the sewer, and found that the footprints were easily followed, considering that whatever he was followings claws were making a mark on the moss, Edward tried to breath as little as possible and walked around the large sewer that seemed to curve around for miles, until he came up to huge claw marks high up on the wall, whatever he was following was massive, and has long, sharp claws. Edward questioned if he should continue on his current path, but it was too late, he heard a large roar somewhere in the Sewer, and he prepared himself. Edward created his scythe and got himself ready for a massive dinosaur creature to attack him.

Edward heard footsteps coming closer and closer, his heart rate increased, not because of fear but his adrenaline was already kicking in to get him ready for this,
"Beast! If you come out now, I'll make your death slow and painful."
Edward laughed in his usual sadistic chuckle.
He looked to his right and saw a claw reaching around the corner.
"Let's do this."

Edward was watching around the corner waiting for the creature to show it's face he saw the monster peak out, it could only remind him of a small child looking around the corner to see what it's parent's were doing, it was obvious that this creature didn't want to fight, the opposite was in Edwards mind, he wanted a challenge, Edward was always looking for a challenge, the next best thing. However Edward for once, felt sorry for this creature. It hides in the sewers to avoid contact, and now it was clear that this beast gave him the blanket when he was passed out, Edward was flashed back to his childhood before his powers manifested, a memory of his parents giving him a blanket, and a memory of him peaking around the corner watching his parents fight. This creature was in a way, like him. A black mark on society. Edward never felt like this before.

Edward stared at the creature and said slowly,
"I wont hurt you, if you show yourself."
Even Edward being quite neutral towards someone sounded menacingly evil. This was also probably the first time he was being truthful.
He awaited it's response.

Even though all of his previous emotions, when the monster told him to leave it reminded him of when he left his parents when he was a small kid, Edward was angry, how dare this monster tell him to leave, Edward taken this a threat and gripped the scythe that was behind his back.
"You don't tell me what to do, look at yourself, your a lizard, a failed experiment, and soon to be dead."
Edward threw his scythe at this beast and prepared for one hell of a comeback.
"Look what you made me do now!"
Edward laughed with a hint of fear in his voice.
