A Fugitive (closed to Trog)
13 sat quietly in the soft water. He liked the sewers. They were quiet and no humans dared come in here. 13 was always seen as a monster, and as a result he often kept to himself. He held a rat in his palm and lightly stroked it. He always liked rats more than humans. They were his friends, and they never ran away from him. 13 suddenly heard a soft splashing noise in the distance. It want the rats. It was too loud to be them. 13 spotted a group of humans in black. They found him. Before any of the men could react, 13 charged. The men fired their guns and 13 felt the bullets bounce off him. He grabbed one of the men and threw him at another. He slammed his fist into one and backhanded another. One had tried to shoot him from behind, but 13 grabbed him and hoisted him into the air."Leave".13 followed that statement by throwing the man into a wall.
13 ran off before any more men could find him. He found the exit and climbed through it. The light from the surface blinded him, and he found himself surrounded by strange looking metal boxes. He had been chased by them during his escape. 13 had to outrun them. He didn't want to die.

Re: A Fugitive (closed to Trog)
Gwharr the Caveman in denial was sitting in a darkened room, dressed in a surprisingly fancy tailormade (no off-the-rack clothes would fit him) black'n'white pin-stripe suit. On his head was a somewhat well-worn fedora and in his mouth was a cigar, the faint glow of wich was the only light present in the room. Since new york he had found that a man at his rather venerable age had to take it easy and enjoy the finer things in life, and apprantly these cigars where mighty fine things, at least according to the guy he bought them from. He had tried eating one or two, but tey tasted mostly like dry, smokey leaves, then he had asked someone who had instructed him how to utilize them in the proper way, and he had to admit that it was to preffer rather than eating them
The darkened room was his own idea. It seemed that somehow his sense of taste grew sharper when he had deprived himself of visible stimiluli. He suspected it had something to do with the sensory bits in his brain had more attention to spare when it wasn't getting bombarded with various visual thingamajiggers. In a way he found the fact that he could think up something like that rather exciting, and for different reasons he found it dreadfull. Even though he was still the same guy at heart, he was still oh-so-very different from the caveman that had beaten his chest and thrown trucks around for little or no reason at all. Well, sometimes he had good reasons to go on rampages, but other times it was just so silly, you know. They asked himto wait a few minutes at burgerking. It wouldn't affect him much now, but back then it'd send him on a rampage worthy of Godzilla or King-Kong, Although, he would probably still be liable to go on a rampage if someone casually murdered someone for no reason, like the infamously silly villain Tek had done not too long ago. Or the way the Nano-zombe would have killed off that girl if he had not intervened. . . .
However, his thoughts was interrupted by some strange noises outside. the whining of sirens and the thudding of footsteps. Heavy footsteps. Gwharr went to the window and opened it, gazing out onto the alleyway to see a strange creature, seemingly naked and completely hairless. An unsightly beast to say the least, and it was pursued by a bunch of strange guys. The caveman crosswd his arms as he looked down on the scene, uncertain what to do. He could relate to the unfortunate Maladjusted Monstrous Misfit, Running from Mysterious Murderous Men no doubt planning to take him to some sort of secret installation. He had been there. Literally. On the other hand, he had managed to keep a low profile since the whole new-york dealie. He had no wish to risk the relative stability that the status quo, had given him..
A grin came upon the face of the brutish caveman as an idea formed in his frontallobes. As long as he helped the escaping monster from behind the scenes in a way that did not nessecarily incriminate himself, he'd be off scott-free. He quickly made his way to the roof of the building, something that was literally easier done than said since it was only a three-story building and he was already on the third floor. half a second of climbing and he was set. He knew the building well enough to know that there was one of those old water-tower-things on top. A storage-tank for the tap-water of the building, but since proper plumbing had been installed the whole thing had been in disuse for decades now. Still, it more than fitted his need. He heaved it over his head and waited for the fleeing monster to pass below him when he threw the thing down just behind the monster as he passed the narrow alleyway. It would probably be more than enough to stop the pursuer long enough for the poor freak to get away safely.
Oh, he was such a goody-two shoes, but he could not help but to feel slightly good about himself for doing it either.

Re: A Fugitive (closed to Trog)
13 could ran as fast as he could, knocking a few cars aside. Black cars chased him and the men in black armor were shooting at him. The bullets didn't hurt him, but he certainly felt him. He grabbed one of the black cars and threw it at another. A roadblock of cars blocked his way, and 13 made a quick turn into an alleyway. As men in black chased him, a large object crashed behind him. 13 turned around and saw that someone blocked the alley. He looked up and saw a large human. He looked bigger than the other ones. 13 started to wonder why that human would help him.

Re: A Fugitive (closed to Trog)
Gwharr grinned widely as he saw that his little plan had worked. A few of the agents tried to scale the remnamnts of the water-towers on foot, whilst the ones in the back desperately tried to back their veichles back out through the alley in order to find another way to get the weird lizard-looking furigitve. The caveman was just about to climb back into his house, when the weird hairless creature looked up at him, and it was not really untill then he saw just how ugly it was. It had teeth like spear-tips, no lips to speak off, bulging muscles and a face that was somewhere between that of a lizard and that of a humanoid, but the lack of lips made it very hard to interpret its expression and mood. Yet, he had to admit that it was far more human-like when it came to proportions. It seemed to follow the standardized arm-to-leg-to-torso-ratio that most humans did, unlike him who's proportions where far more similar to that of a chimpanzee or a gorilla with long arms and rather short leg.
The hairless thing looked up at him, and Gwharr felt a wave of repulsion and pity at the same time. It was somewhat disgusting, but that did not mean that these men in black should be allowed to do whatever they pleased with the poor thing either. The caveman waited for it to run, but it stood there, seemingly looking up at him, whilst it should have used the small window of time to escape instead. Well, at least that was what Gwharr was thinking. He gave the creature a quick wave, just to show that he was on its side, and then motioned for it to keep moving. To escape. He really hoped that the poor critte would get the hint and start running again while it had the chance.

Re: A Fugitive (closed to Trog)
Lynch watched as Subject 13 was helped by a strange man. Did 13 make any friends during his time out of the facility? "Bring in the choppers" Lynch took his sniper rifle from the rack in the truck. Every other agent before Lynch had failed in their mission to capture 13. What was so hard about capturing an 8' foot reptile? "ID the man on the roof, i want to know why he's associated with the target". He stepped out of the truck and made his way over to the black ops troops. "We need to surround the target, use high caliber weapons if necessary". Lynch looked up at the strange man. Who was he?

Re: A Fugitive (closed to Trog)
Gwharr heard nothing of the orders that were currently being issued by the big boss-man of this whole operation, but he did not plan to remain here for much longer, even if he had. He had given the ugly fellow all the help he could spare right now, and as usual, ithe time had come to look out for number one again. The caveman started "running" if one could call it that. Truth be told, he was well-aware that his awkward ape-like movement was quite unsuitable to a man in a suit such like this, but he could not affort to end up on whoever it was that was after him's list of people to detain/kill/wedgie or whatever it was that these people in suits did. They should be more creative when it came to secret organization. Black suits for killers, blue for those that sought to capture others, red for Tax-men and green for salesmen. If the organization dealt with meta-humans they could identify themselves with a red tie aswell.
Gwharr chortled at his own joke as he effortlessly leapt across the street, landing on the neighboring rooftop. The agents had seen him now, and he heard them firing their guns down below, and when he looked some of them were pointed at him. No good friggin' deed goes unpunished" He snarled to himself as he kept running. Hopefully these bozos would not dedicate too much time to capturing him while their Big Bald Brute was still running around free and unmolested on the streets of this once great city.
He heard an uncomfortably familiar sound from the sky. Annoying flying spinny-things that kept following people around. He had yet to find out their proper name, but he figured his name was good enough. They where flying above him, probably containing more of the little punks that had tried to shoot him from the ground, but whatever they were trying, it wasn't working. Nothing that little goons like them could pull out of their arsenal had any chance of even tickling him.

Re: A Fugitive (closed to Trog)
13 crashed through a blockade of cars that were in his way. He grabbed one and smashed another with it. He heard a flutter in the air. it was one of those flying machines that 13 had been chased by before. They shot at him, and 13 felt some of the bullets bounce off him. He couldn't go into the sewers, it was filled with those men in black armor. 13 punched a wall, which flew off in tiny pieces. He went into the building and charged at the wall on the opposite side. He had to get out of here fast.
Lynch's sniper rifle was armed with explosive rounds. He knew these wouldn't kill the target, but at least he would feel it. Lynch got into the nearest car and told the driver to start chasing the large man. His men would take care of the target. He spotted the man and stuck his rifle out the window. He wanted to see how he would react.

Re: A Fugitive (closed to Trog)
Gwharr felt a light prod somewhere in his mid-back. It was not enough to hurt, but it was enough to him to know that someone had tried to shoot him. This made him rather peeved, and even the new and (moderately) intelligent Gwharr didn't work all that well when put under preassure like this. He did not like to be challenged, and the best way to deal with a challenge was still to punch the challenger untill he stopped moving. It had worked pretty well during caveman time, and despite numerous claims to the contrary it still worked now, and this little man with a sniper-rifle would be given a fair warning that he was barking up the wrong tree here. A warning he would deliver with gusto!
He snarled loudly, beating his chest like the caveman he was, and even though he wore a fancy suit, there was nothing refined over this behaviour. It did not take him long to see the smoking rifle-barrel poking out of the window of a car, and thus he decided it was time to do something about that. He leapt over the rooftop, landing on a fire-escape where he crouched down and bounded down from the roof, straight onto the hood of the snipers car, smashing the engine to pieces leaving the drivers stunned and rather terrified. One of them drew a gun, opened the door, crouched behind it, shooting wildly at gwharr, but the bullets did nothing but bounce against his skin, not even denting it. The caveman totally ignored the bullets, roaring like a monstrous, rampaging beast, pointing at Lynch!
"You'll leave me alone, or I'll force ya to watch when I eat yer limbs, little man!" he said before once again leaping up towards the nearest balcony, climbing with monkey-like agility and speed towards the rooftops where he planned to make his escape
