This War is Ours (Sean Collin and Helena Vexus Only)

Andrew took a deep breath and looked up at the sky if New York. He stood on a rooftop, in the rubbled city that never slept.
Thinking back to before this awful assault, he remembered his good friend Deluge. "What did I miss?" Andrew wondered as the memory of Sean killing Vexus played in his head. The gunshot, he heard in his ear. He looked over the side of the building, almost no one in the streets. New York needed that Talons more now than ever.

Making his way to ground level he passed by several burning cars, and several craters where homes used to be. A few tears filled up in Phoenix's eyes. "I tried, I really did. Good people died because I wasn't good enough." Andrew thought to himself before wiping his eyes. He took one more deep breath, and continued looking for survivors. From behind him he felt a familiar presence. When Andrew turned around, nothing was there.

As his day went on, sunset was approaching and he knew he had to get back to the Talons. Right as he was walking away from behind him he heard a familiar voice. "Phoenix."
Andrew's eyes widened. His heart almost skipping a beat. "No way. It can't be." Andrew thought to himself.
As he turned around his theories became truth as he saw someone he thought would never show up again.
Tightening his fist, Phoenix took a step at his past friend.

Weeks and weeks of worrying and anger had lead Andrew to this point. He practiced to himself at home many times what he would say if he ever saw Deluge again. A look of pure rage came across Phoenix's usually smiling face as he walked towards Sean. "What the fuck man!?" Andrew asked almost screaming, as he threw a right hook at Deluge's mouth.
"You were my teammate, partner, and above all else my friend. I gave you one order and you blatantly disobeyed it. Do you know what that does to a team's rep? Right when we needed you most, you took off. This assault, we lost good men. I'm fighting a battle and worrying about if my friend's ok, or even alive..."
Phoenix stopped his speech and looked at Sean.

The breeze was sweeping through the city streets, and blowing through Phoenix's hair. "So where were you? Where did you?" Andrew asked now starting calm down. The street was quiet, mostly to do with the destruction around them. His Talon dogtags were going off, but he didn't feel them buzzing with the wind. A few homeless people were standing around on the rooftop adjacent to Phoenix. "Get out of here!" he shouted. "It isn't safe to be around this part of the city."

He felt a presence behind him and turned but saw nothing. Chills went up his spine as he heard movement behind him. Getting his voice really quiet, almost to a whisper he said "Someone's with us." signaling behind him with his eyes.

The sound of high-heels against the war torn streets of New York echoed through the still silence. Still approaching, the steps sounded as if they came from all around, however it narrowed down to the southern side of the street. The resonating click would be all to familiar for the two heroes and Helena Vexus approached her final targets known as Deluge and Phoenix. She had been programmed by Elena Vexus herself to eliminate whomever did away with her creator, and after thousands of miles of travel she finally caught them. She walked at a slow pace, placing one foot gently in front of the other until her silhouette could be seen in the smoke at ground level. She paused for a moment with her hands on her hips. The plethora of weapons that she carried on her could not be seen at the moment, but a crosswind came about and blew the smoke covering her figure away. Her short poker straight blonde hair covered her right eye while the left was emitting a bright red light due to her infrared sensor be active. Helena had on a form fitting black leather trench coat with red buttons that stopped at the knee. She had fishnet stockings on and bright red stilettos.
"Hello boys."
As the smoke cleared it revealed the three different guns she had strapped to her back. Two automatic rifles , a 50 Caliber sniper, and her personal Rifle-Scythe which at the moment only looked like a larger rifle due to the blades and handle being currently folded into the gun. Underneath her coat she was wearing a black and red French Maid Corset with her pink glock strapped to the inside of her thigh, her two automatic glocks were in holsters on either side of her, and down her back about a dozen magazines for her glocks which she could reload hands free. The next clip would simply slide down into place where the last one was. Around her waist she had her Chain belt whip blade and another belt crossing over it which held multiple magazines for both the rifles and her .50cal.
Her eyes narrowed at the two not even bothering with introductions, she figured that they would figure out soon enough who she was. Helena stood a few hundred yards behind Phoenix and picked up her walking again, but at a faster pace. She flipped the .50 Cal around into her hands continuing her stride and took aim at the two. She fired once at Deluge, twice at Phoenix and then twice back at Deluge. The massive recoil from the gun had some effect on her, her pace slowing slightly and resuming every time she took a shot.
Helena knew their abilities and made sure to keep her distance, right now she was too weighed down with weaponry to do any significant damage at close range. Her late creator provided her with significant information on their fighting techniques and styles so predicting their moves should not be all too difficult. However, Elena's death was fueled by revenge and this situation emotional tension was different possibly resulting in a different attack pattern. Helena's cybernetic mind was running all the calculations she needed while opening fire on the two. This conflict is exactly what this Vexus had been programmed for, their chances of victory were slim to none.

Phoenix saw the women emerge from the dust and fog and saw her holding a large rifle. Knowing exactly what she had intended to do, Andrew dashed as fast as he could at Sean to knock them both over. Tumbling over Deluge, Andrew hit the ground but avoided getting shot. Creating a wall of fire between the heroes and the robot, Andrew made defense for them. Next step was some offense, this was not going to be a game of cat an mouse.
Andrew created almost a bubble of fire around himself, roaring around 4000 degrees. Walking out of the back of it, he kept it going, and launched it at his enemy.

The giant fireball blasted through the wall of fire, and headed right towards Elena. As it got close to her, Phoenix opened his hand almost making a "stop" motion. The fireball seemed to unwrap and start to surround Elena. closing his hand to a fist, Andrew made the fire completely wrap like a coffin. If she was there, she was in trouble. For his follow up he prepared to turn up the heat.

Closing his eyes Andrew concentrated hard on what made him the angriest in the world. To fight an opponent this ready, he would need some adrenaline. Thinking of his ex, his past mistakes, and all the people against him, Andrew opened his eyes. They seemed to have a red-orange-ish tint to them. A bird of fire completely surrounded Phoenix and it was roaring. The intensity of the blaze was by far the hottest Andrew had ever gone.
"You walk up from behind us, and try and kill us?!" he shouted at the android.
"I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but you have pissed off the wrong person." he said angrily turning to Sean. "Let's teach this bitch a lesson."

Vexus' sensors spiked seeing the heat the Phoenix's fire was giving off and she instantly moved to take cover. She swung the .50 Cal behind her back and ran to a pick-up truck off to her left. Sadly with all the weaponry she had on her she could not move as fast as she needed. Helena dove under the truck and could feel the fire envelope it. She had to turn off her infrared vision because everything was just one solid red color. As her sensors and alert systems screamed at her to move before she took heave damage she rolled out behind the back of the truck just as the frame of it gave way and collapsed in on itself. Vexus stood up and brushed herself off looking at the fast melting pile of metal and then back at the two. Phoenix was shouting at her not knowing who she was. This boy was dense and was actually quite surprised that he didn't recognize her. Sean on the other hand had been pushed to the ground and was bleeding a little, he screamed something vulgar and was ready for combat.
"Phoenix, Sean I'm hurt! You don't see the resemblance?..."
She paused for a minute to let the two of them take in a good look. Vexus smirked with a small laugh as she placed her hands on her hips with a sassy lean to her figure.
"...Hmm, well maybe a bullet to the head will jog your memory!"
Helena knock the two automatic rifles into either of her hands and took a preparatory step back before she started unloading on the two heroes. There was a little bit of a jolt in her body as she pulled the trigger firing upon them. She let use one magazine on each of them from the guns and had to reload, Vexus undid her trench coat and flung it open to real the masses of ammunition and the other guns she carried, along with her choice of lingerie for the night . She pushed the two rifles back to up and over her shoulders with the strap around her arm, while they were in motion she grabbed two clips off her belt and when the rifles came back down they landed right on top of the magazines reloading themselves.
Helena kept a smirk on her face as the barrels of the rifles gave off some steam from the last round, she hoped that the two would be able to make it through all the shots fired. Knowing their abilities she figured that they would retaliate with long ranged attacks, however any smart person should. With her packing as much heat as she did it would be foolish to try and move in for a closer attack. But there was always the factor of unpredictability with the hero types...

"Who the hell does she think she is?" Andrew wondered to himself. However the thought was not long because he saw automatic weapons being pulled out. "Hit the deck!" he shouted over to Sean as he dropped low, out of the line of fire. Rolling quickly behind a vent for cover, Phoenix created a wall of fire between the two parties. Cursing about the situation, Phoenix constructed a bow out of his flames. Pulling back on the bow, a fire arrow appeared.
"Fuck with us." Andrew said as a smirk crawled across his face. Letting go of the bow, he watched as the flaming arrow speed towards his enemy

Looking over to Sean it was now time for an actual plan. "You keep the pressure on her head on, i'll flank her." he said in such a quiet whisper it was almost mouthing it. Using the wall of fire as cover, Andrew ran and leaped over to a neighboring building. Now he could see them both, but their enemy would have no idea he was even gone. Running once more, he took a leap for the fire escape behind Helena. Just barely making it, he pulled himself up and quickly, yet quietly, made his way up to the roof. He was now behind his enemy, and he had her right where he wanted. Charging up a fireball, with almost 6000 degrees to it, he released and sent it right at the back of the enemy. "Let's see you dodge this one bitch." Andrew said as he was now completely in battle mode.

Keeping her infrared active, she waited for the heroes to make a move. Phoenix had brought up a wall of fire to protect them. Whether he knew it or not the fire was a good tactic, with or without her infrared vision she could not see past the wall and would have to keep an open eye to search for movement. Suddenly an attack came speeding out from behind the wall of fire, she only had enough time to move over to the left so the arrow still caught her shoulder. Helena pat out the small flame that had sparked to life from the attack. Now her jacket was ruined... Nothing seemed to have happened for a few seconds after as the wall of fire still stood between her and the two heroes. Helena was about to speak when her sensors caught something traveling up at a rapid rate. Her eyes caught onto it and zoomed in, however it had flown too high for her to get a proper look at it. It was obviously a more viscus liquid but could not identify exactly what it was, and it was multiplying. Helena's attention was immediately drawn back to center as from behind the fire bullets of a similar liquid were being fired at her. She flipped one of the rifles around her back and pulled at the straps around her torso tightening the guns against her back, she had to move and could not lose her weapons.
holding the one rifle with bot hands she began firing at the incoming bullets and performed an areal flip to the left keeping up with her own mechanical onslaught. One of her bullets collided with Sean's liquid attack at a closer range and the liquid splashed on her face. Landing, she continued to fire and a couple of reports appeared on her field of view notifying her of current damages. Helena ran away from the direction of the bullets trying to knock out as many as she could, but there were too many of them and her systems could not target every single one. Correcting itself for the flaw, the systems began only targeting the attacks that would cause more damage. Helena held her position and flipped her other rifle back into her hand and began shooting at all the high risk liquid bullets. Every so often she would shift to the side, take a step back, or maneuver her body in order to avoid an extra bullet or two. Her first rifle in her left hand ran out of ammo, but the second still had ammunition left though the attack was beginning to slow down as she reloaded. There were holes in her coat and a number of cuts and exposures along her body, mostly on her arms and legs. There was one deep gash on her side where a wire or two hung out. Fortunately it did not reach anything vital.
Firing a slower intervals she began to take steps forward to shrink the gap between her and the two heroes. She felt the liquid that had splattered on her face and realized it was blood. Elena had not left her with any notes on this. Sean was supposed to be a water user, how could he manipulate blood now...? Her eyes shot up at the orb of liquid in the sky realizing what it was, and why it was growing in size. She brought up her rifle and took aim and the sphere preparing to fire when her motion sensors detected an incoming attacking. Whipping around she caught sight of Phoenix on top of building but more importantly the blazing ball of fire that was heading towards her. Helena took off in a full sprint towards the wall of fire and dove through the blaze narrowly avoiding the scorching blast. She rolled a couple of time before popping to her feet face to face with Sean, some of the lace being burnt off of her corset in the process.
"Hello hello, son of the dearest Elena Marie..." She said taking slow steps towards him.
As she said this she took out the ammunition for her two rifles and the .50cal in a very swift manner and grabbed for her scythe rifle allowing the other three weapons to slide off her person and onto the ground
"Relay this message to Phoenix in the afterlife. My name is Helena Vexus designed and programmed by Elena Vexus herself to remove Deluge and Phoenix for the murder of the Initial Model"
Helena took off her coat now burnt and full of holes and cocked the gun causing two large blades to unfold out of the sides of the rifles and the barrel of the gun to extend into a handle. With a powerful swing she went to take off Sean's head, if he ducked forward she followed with a quick knee to the face. If he bent backwards she would pull his front leg out knock him off balance, anything else she would continue with more powerful swings of her scythe and appropriate evasive maneuvers.

Dashing at Vexus full speed, Andrew prepared to take her down. His friend was in the midst of it with her, and Phoenix wanted to help. Completely setting his body ablaze, he he tried to barrel through Vexus. If she dodged he would fire a bolt at her. If he counter attacked, Phoenix would drop low, and blast fire up at her. His plan was flawless. Rolling back up. He pulled his katana off his back. Concentrating on just the weapon on her, he melted all the larger guns off her that he could see. "At least she's stuck with side arms now." he thought to himself.

"We need a plan Deluge." Andrew said looking over at Sean. Racking his brain for ideas, he looked up at a large billboard sign that read "Pain the Big Guy." with a picture of Brock's face on it. "I got it." Taking off from the scene once more, Andrew leaped up into the air, and landed on the sign. Grabbing it from the top. he pulled the sign up off the poll. and was just standing on the catwalk now. "Take this you robotic bitch." and he tossed the sign at her from the side with full strength.

Leaping down he slammed his sword into the poll and landed softly on the ground. Grabbing a ear by dumptruck, he ran back to the scene. Scanning for Vexus Andrew through the vehicle at her. He was using his surroundings as best he could, he looked over to sean to see how he was doing.

Helena was rather impressed with Sean's capabilities with this blood making sure to record everything that she could for future referance. Her sensors went off with an incoming attack and she quickly pushed away from Sean narrowly avoiding Phoenix who had set himself a blaze and came charging straight for her. Quickly retaliating Vexus pulled one of her automatic Glocks on in her left hand Phoenix but a whip of blood wrapped around her arm and was violently pulled and thrown into a car. Helena had disconnected her arm at the elbow so that it was not torn off but still flew hard into the vehicle leaving a dent in the side and shattering the windows. She tried to recover quickly by looking back up at the situation, her sensors being a little scattered for a moment from the impact. Phoenix was grabbing at a billboard and Helena's dislocated arm lay to Sean's right with the glock still in it. She had scythe in her right had still as Phoenix threw this bilboard like a frisbee at Helena. To counter, Helena ran straight at the incoming sign and then slid underneath it on both her knees holding the scythe up splitting the billboard in two. Helena rolled a couple times on the ground before recovering to her feet, her stats were piling in and the results were not good. Her back legs and side had taken some damage from this last round and would need attending to if she continued to apply the stress she was now.
Phoenix was moving quickly for his next attack, keeping an eye on him Helena moved her dislocated arm to point the glock up at Sean and fire at an extremely close range. As for the Pyromaniac she began in a powerful stride to him, running was not exactly in the question right now. Cocking her scythe-rifle she held it with her right hand and began firing until she saw that Phoenix was going for a car. She stopped where she was and swung the scythe around her back again and reached for the chain-whip-belt-blade. She fully extended it out and as the car passed over the blade heading for Helena she pulled the blade up cutting through the car causing it to split around her. The two halves screeched as the metal scraped against the concrete screeching to a halt.
There was a pause in the air as Helena looked over to Sean and back over to Phoenix. She could count on not getting her hand back assuming that Sean didn't take damage from the point black shots so Vexus retracted the whip into a blade and tossed it up in the air.
"C'mon boys, lets see what you've got..."
Elena drew the other automatic glock she had and caught the sword in her mouth with the tip point towards the left at Phoenix. Spinning rapidly to the right the sword disconnect into a whip again which she sent speeding to wrap around one of Sean's limp, or take him out if wounded by the shots earlier. All the while she shot over her shoulder unleashing a barrage of bullets at Phoenix from her automatic weapon. Unfortunately, things were not looking up for Ms. Helena Vexus but by no means was she about to fail her master...

Phoenix saw disaster heading his way when a barrage of bullets came towards him. Creating a very hot fire around him, he leaped into the air, some bullets melting, some just missing him. Once in the air, the blasted the ball of fire from around him, and towards Helena's whip. Next he closed his eyes, and a white fire formed around his arms. Pointing his arms up towards Vexus, he blasted with all his might at her. Looking back at Sean he gave him a smile.

Phoenix was now onto his next attack, he blasted fire down at the ground below, propelling himself high into the air. Letting go a barrage of white fire balls down at the android, the hero let out a roar. He came crashing to the earth, tucking and rolling. His heart was pounding out of his chest. He could feel his body pulsing. he took a deep breath and looked around. He saw a school bus. Dashing at the bright yellow weapon, Phoenix picked it up above his head, and ran towards Vexus.

Slamming the bus down on the ground around the robot's area, he took a leap back and let Sean go to work. This part of town was now silent. Other than their battle, you wouldn't know anyone was here. The assault had that kind of effect on the city. Phoenix looked toward the bus wreck and dropped to his knees quickly for a breath. Awaiting the robots next move calmly.
