History: Given up for adoption at birth, Shane Stevens was tossed around from foster home to foster home. He was constantly bullied because of his younger age and lack of size. Though he tried to keep his attitude positive as best he could. Over the years and from worse foster family to the next Shane was eventually "adopted". Two men in black suits came to his foster home and were discussing something with his then foster parents. With the flashing of some money Shane and all the other foster children were taken away. Shane managed to ask one of the men where they were going, to which they replied with "A special place." That of course was a lie and these children were brought to a facility of experimental biological science, run by the government itself. Each of the children were prodded and poked and enlaced with some elemental ability. However to ignite these powers chemicals and radiation were used. Except for Shane all the other children had died. The scientist there had said that Shane was "exceptionally better engineered". Shane was better then those kids who bullied him. Over the next few years Fred endured all the experiments that the scientists preformed, until one day on his 15th birthday. Shane was brought into a room and strapped to a table, nothing new. He wondered what the deal was today as they tied his arms down. When the researchers arrived they explained that Shane had served his purpose, and that now he would be harvested and examined from glass jars. One of which they were holding that contained a human hand. Shane struggled in his bonds and demanded they let him go, he was different, stronger! They just laughed at him and told him that he was nothing more then a common rat, and he was disposable. Angered, Shane's powers unleashed themselves in a more powerful way then before as he made the glass jar explode and the shards of glass tore through everyone in the room. He cut himself free and stood over the monologuing scientist from before, kicking at his bloody dead body and he grinned "If I'm a rat, what does that make you?".

Since then Shane has been taking what he thinks is entitled to him. He is a worthy being in a sea of pathetic puss filled peasants.
