Costume Description/Image:
Illustrator's costume is simple. She's a simple girl. She can't really afford to get a proper suit so she'll run around fighting crime in her jeans and a hoodie. Beneath the hoodie, she wears her paint splattered t-shirts. It's rare she removes her hoodie but it does happen from time to time. Her t-shirts vary everyday. The only thing she does to hide her identity is wear her black mask. Her hoodies are usually black or navy blue. Her jeans are dark colours and ripped at the bottom of each leg. Her converse shoes are black, blues or red. They all have doodles on them (black marker on the blues and the red, white fabric paint on her black pairs).

Personality: Penny has a need to be validated in order to feel worthy; she pursues success and wants to be admired for her art. Incredibly competetive and highly focused in the pursuit of her goals, she often disregards her own feelings in order to strive for accolades. It's always a case of "What's in it for me?" with her. She has a lot of energy and often embodies a kind of zest for life (and sometimes death) that others find contagious. She's very creative in the way she thinks, disorganized and often cynical. Although she does know how to rise through the ranks. She has a fear of becoming a "loser" and forever being unknown. She also has arsonphobia and she's wary of men (although she'll open up to one if they check out ok). She's a talented artist, using paints, ink, pencils, chalk, pastels, charcoals, clay and even oragami in her works.

History: How is it an ordinary girl got these powers, you may ask? Well, let's start with Penn herself. She was born in a hospital in London like thousands upon millions of other girls. Her parents hadn't been expected her for another month and were nearing the end of a vacation to the huge city. When they took their baby girl home, life continued. Around the age of three, Penn (by then nicknamed Penny) began to overhear and sometimes even witness her parents fighting. Her mother would make up for them by buying her daughter packets of crayons, felt tip pens, note books, anything to keep Penny quiet and heppy. Penny was seven before noticing her mother gaining bruises... A black eye here and there... Once, she noticed scars on her mother's arms. She didn't say anything, prefering to be silent. She kept drawing, a skill developing. When she was twelve, her mother died. When an autopsy revealed her mother had been killed by arsenic, Penny was swiftly removed from the mad man's care and he was sentenced to jail. Penny, oddly enough for a twelve year old, didn't care. She just started to read and draw. Sometimes, she'd draw. The things she started to draw became more and more sadistic, more violent. At the age of fifteen, she was working on a school project for History. She wondered the library, looking for a decent book to help her out. Of course, that's when she found the book. The book seemed to beg her to open it. And when she did, It fell out. It was a flower. It was crushed from the book pages. Ink on her fingers from a leaking pen touched it. There was a blinding flash. She opened ehr eyes again and found herself in a hospital bed. Apparently, she had collapsed in the library. It was a week later when her new powers started to surface. She was doodling when the picture of a dragon moved. It breathed fire and the paper burned. Luckily, she put it out without damages to either herself or something around. She rubbed the dragon out, destroying it. Scared, she didn't draw for another week before trying again. When the same result happened- this time with a stick man- she started doing more and more until she do it perfectly. She tried with different mediums. Everytime her powers would take effect and everytime, it became easier to control.

Powers: Penny's powers are magic based. Whenever she creates a piece of artwork, it comes to life. This is a form of summoning or projection. Let's look at an example. She's in the middle of a battle, hiding out of the way with a piece of paper and a pen. She draws a stick man with a sword. Said stick man jumps from the paper and starts to fight in the battle. That's how it works. It works with any art form she can do.

Roleplay Sample: Penn ran against the wind, trying not to let it knock her down. The truck was not far by now. She skidded to a halt and doubled over, gasping for breath. She looked up at the truck and found the eyes of a man wearing a uniform. She nodded at him then stood normally.

“Alright? How’s it going?” she asked the ice cream man. “I’ll take a wafer cone and a ninety nine cone. Don’t forget the syrup?”

As the ice cream man did this, she looked around. Where was she again? She couldn’t remember. Her hand reached up and tied her brown hair into her signature messy bun. She looked around, looking at nearly everything and taking in the detail. Her chalks were itching to be used in her pocket. She wanted to draw. But it was risky in public... Her pen slipped into her hand without her thinking. She shoved it into her pocket and turned to pay for and collect her ice cream. Of course, she didn’t find her ice cream. She found a gun being pointed at her.

“Um... I’m pretty sure I ordered ice cream... Not a shot to the face...”
