World Tournament

I think it would be cool if there was a world tournament on SHRPG every once in a while like in Dragon Ball and DBZ. Heroes, villains, and renegades could come from all around the world to test their might. It would give RPers a chance to test their fighting/writing skills. There could be 2 divisions: single and teams. There could also be a reward system giving the winner(s) experience points or something. Obviously the rules would be set up by Mods but here's a few ideas:
1. The tournament would start with qualifying rounds, leaving 16 qualifiers.
2. Killing is forbidden.
3. Characters can bring up to 2 weapons.
That's all I have right now, but I really think this would be cool.

EDIT: Fights should take place simultaneously when possible, and anyone involved in a fight who doesn't post within 2 days is disqualified unless they give prior notice with a reasonable explanation.

I'm really into this idea, so this is my comment, to help bump it up!

I do like this but I think a good rule is that it will be an open terrain because if it was the actual tournament people would not let thereselves fall. Basically no out of bounds.

But any who I thought about making a tournament but since this was made before my I totally support the idea I know for a fact this will be fun!

Zaboo mentioned on the one in the trash bin that something like this had happened before and failed. I can see how that could happen, it seems like a difficult thing to organize a lot of people (let alone 16) in a single plot-line and not grind to a halt when a few people don't respond or goes inactive. I know no one would start out planning to vanish mid fight but you know how things are. So I guess what I'm saying is you should also plan for things like that happening.
