Lizard vs Man (Closed to Apex)

Reptilian was on the prowl for some prey. The city at this time of night was filled with dirt bags that Reptilian could feast on. He ducked around corners and stuck to the shadows trying to remain unseen. He found a mugger pointing a gun at a frightened woman with her young son around 3 or 4. "Now listen lady if you don't hand me the purse..."
He puts the tip of the gun to the kids head. "Or the ambulance is mopping the kids brains off the ground." Quickly Reptilian darts from the shadows and tore the mugger to shreds as as the woman and child run. Reptilian runs away from the scene as his bullet wounds heal and before someone pursues him.

As Apex sat nonchalantly, waiting for his target to arrive, he couldn't help but notice below him a crime was unfolding. He saw a man with a gun sticking his weapon to a child's face. The mother in tears. Out of nowhere a creature totally attacked the man with the gun. However the beast continued moving quickly to avoid more damage.

Apex stood up and and started after the attacker's attacker. WIth great speed he hopped down off the roof to the fire escape, the proceeded to hit the floor. Like a bullet he was hot on the trail. From about 20 yards away he saw the attacker taking from behind. Apex didn't know much, but he wanted to know what made someone save a life, then shred one away.

"Hey, slow down. I may have superspeed but all this running is pointless. I'm gunna catch you." Apex said boldly.
He got within step of the beast and quickly strung his bow of his back and took 2 rapid shots at the fleers legs. Next he he took a dive at the attacker to further prevent his runaway. "If this doesn't work I'm gunna eat a mouthful of gravel" he said to himself.

Reptlian found himself being chased by a man with arrows."Hmm..He's probably an associate of the man I just ate." He thought to himself. He continued to run until to arrows pierced his legs. "ARRGHH!" He shouted. He suddenly felt the man on his back. "Get the hell off of me!" He shouted then started clawing at the attacker with one hand. His legs had healed and he had taken out the arrows which he attempted to shove into his attackers chest. He then aimed a clawed hand at the mans jugular.

Apex took a scratch across the chest. He started bleeding but the cut wasn't deep. Within a few moments the wound started healing. Next the creature tried to shove the arrows into chest. Apex hit the floor and rolled while throwing a leg sweep. Getting out of the way of the scratches. Next he stood up and pulled his revolver from his leg and took a shot at the attackers leg.

Apex was now moving quickly and jumped back re holstering his 44. and strung his bow with a grapple arrow. Laughed it to the fire escape above him and climbed up the rope. "Now I'm in my comfort zone. Let's dance."

Reptilian managed to dodge one of the revolver shots but the other nailed him in the leg. The impact caused him to flip over and land on his back. "Guh!" He choked as the wind was knocked out of him. He stood up still a little shaky and ran at his opponent as soon as his leg healed. He jumped into the air and attempted to cut the rope that his opponent was trying to use to escape. "NOO!" He shouted "You will not leave! I will eat you alive!" . He knew that he was losing control of himself but he was pissed off and he wanted to make this guy pay. He then attempts to bite the opponents head trying to fit it into his mouth in an attempt to tear it off. "I will....EAT!" He shouted as he attacked.

Apex fell to the ground as Reptilian ripped through his grapple rope. "Awh fuck." He said as he made contact with the asphalt below him. Next the beast was coming at him in attempt to eat his head. Apex quickly pulled out an arrow and stuck it up so if Reptilian bit down it would be lodged in his mouth and unable to hurt him.

Next, Apex threw a kick to Reptilian's leg and rolled back grabbing this time both .44's off his holsters for them. With superspeed he ran by and picked up his arrow and put it on his back. He pointed both guns at his opponent and took the safeties off. "Now, listen. I am not on the menu. You're not going to eat me. What I want to know is who the hell are you, and did you shred that man. Lastly, why are you trying to make me into a meal?" . Apex kept both guns pointed at the monster attacking him, just incase he wasn't one for small talk.

Reptilian bit and snapped the arrow in his mouth and then ran on all fors at the man after dodging a kick to his leg. but stopped once he saw the guns pointed at him. "I could go after him and heal" He thought "But it would still hurt like crap." He stops and then answers the mans question. "I will eat you if you continue to threaten me with those little toys." He says gesturing to the guns. " But anyways I'm Reptilian. I protect those who are preyed on by sick, sadistic predators like the man you saw me devour. And I must eat live humans to survive and eating criminals is better than eating the innocent. I won't have to eat you if you are wise and you BACK OFF!" He says than assumes an offensive position preparing to attack if provoked.

Apex was baffled. "Listen man, i know how it is to have to kill to survive. I understand what you're going through. Like you I also protect the innocent. However I am not going to stand by and take threats from you. So we have 2 options here. We shake hands and go our separate ways, or we throw hands and one of us walks away."

With that Apex took out an arrow off his back and strung up his bow. He had put his guns away while talking so now he had out his favorite "toy" and was ready for whatever the reptile was ready to throw at him.

Reptilian flicked his tongue out angrily. "Threatsss.....They are not threatss. If You don't leave I will lose control and then I will be verrrry dangerousssss." He was trying to keep his lizard side under control but he was losing it. By the way his words were becoming long and drawn out he knew the feral side was almost out. " I don't want to fight you but I can't ccontrolllll mysself much longer."

Apex laughed a little at the insanity of his opponent. "You need to be locked up somewhere buddy, you're not safe to be roaming the streets if you can't contain yourself. I know it's hard, but if you can't do it, you can't do it. I don't want to fight you anymore than you want to fight me, but I will not go home tonight knowing you are walking the streets. So come with me conscious or not the choice is yours."

With that Apex fired a grappling arrow at the on-ing above him. He then quickly climbbed the rope and pulled out an explosive arrow. "I only brought one of these with me, gotta make it count." he thought to himself.

"So what's it gunna be my friend?" Apex said with a grin on his face knowing he had the high ground.
