Original Poster: Does he/she have a right to determine the Rules of the Thread?

My second character has been in Jail for about a year now I think. Was talking to some players about how to get him out. I had a plan to release myself, but the topic went dead in the water. So my plan is to make a new thread about a 'Jail Break', but it's regarding GUN Prison, so that's quite a hefty break.

Now, the question is, if before I start the Thread, I make the rules will that be fine? Example, before starting the Thread, everyone knows these Rules:

1. If GUN Members want to protect the Facility, they need to post before the topic is over. If no GUN Members attempt to stop the Facility break, standard Turrets and security precautions will be the only thing stopping any perpetrators.
2. If a GUN or Villain player stops posting for 1 week, the player is eliminated from the Thread, and the thread continues without him or her.


So, does the Original Poster have the ability to set rules like this about a thread?

I think that the original poster of a thread should be able to set the rules for it unless overriden by a mod or admin.

You don't have the right if you are using another player's creation. In this case Pain, so just tell Pain you want to do the break out even if he can't participate.

Other than that things work out and c-box clears everything up.

For Future reference though, if it isn't regarding other peoples buildings/characters/belongings, would it be okay to set the Rules for your own thread in these areas? I get tired of people who don't post and leave a topic dead.
