Search and Rescue (Retaliate, A.I., and Chaos)

Jason watched and listen to A.I. as he tells Jason that Pheonix ordered that the Talons should began rescuing and evacuating civilians. "Sorry, guess I accidentally ignored the call when I was kinda busy killing some monsters.", Jason said as he scratched the back of his head while feeling embarrased as he calms down a bit, but was short as he gave Bliss a low growl as she ignored his question and gave both of them orders to do what Pheonix told them to do, "Hey I can understand what my team mate is saying you know.", Jason snapped at Bliss. "You know what? Nevermind, I'll get my answer from a guy from the future.", Jason said as he turned his back on Bliss and began to walk towards an armored van that look like it can hold up to 8 people in the back, "C'mon A.I., we gonna need transportation if we want to rescue anybody.", Jason said as he walked up to the soldier with the keys to the van, "Okay, gonna need the keys to rescue people now.", Jason said meekly. "Sure, just don't scratch it.", the soldier jocked as he gave Jason the key. "Thats kinda beat the purpose of the van don't you think?", Jason joked back as he got in the drivers seat but paused for a moment, "Hey, can I borrow your gun?", Jason asked. "Sure, we got a bunch of them to spare that we could give every kid in the neighborhood a gun permit.", the soldier said as he gave Jason the M4A1. "Thanks.", Jason said as he took the gun and turn his attention back to A.I., "Hey A.I.! Get in! We got people to save, monster to run over, and my question to be answered!, Jason called out rudely as he honked the horn a few times.

After Bliss gave everyone instructions, people scattered to do their tasks. Retaliate had acquired a van for him and A.I. to use, and A.I. jumped in the passenger's side. "So the fact that the streets are coated in ice doesn't bother you at all?" he said to Retaliate with a grin. He wasn't worried. He knew both of them could take a car crash, and a car could be a useful weapon against these creatures. He opened his window and unholstered his pistol. Suddenly, A.I. spotted two monsters rushing towards the back of the car. He leaned half his body out the windows and fired on them, downing one, and wounding the other. "Alright we should probably leave."

Jason looked at A.I. as he told Jason to go, "Wait, hold on for a sec.", Jason said as he put the van in reverse and ran over the creature that was wounded by A.I. and than driving off, "Sorry about that, just making sure it won't follow us or call for help or something.", Jason explained to A.I., "And oh, the whole ice thing isn't bothering me because it's not triggering my danger sense, so if it's not triggering than it's all right.", Jason told to A.I. as Jason continue driving down the streets while also running over the creatures. After a few minutes have passed Jason just remembered something, "Oh, almost forgot, what the Hell is going on in the city?", Jason asked A.I. about the assault.

They had been driving for a few minutes, searching for civilians in need of a place to hide, when Retaliate asked his question. A.I. honestly for once had no clue what was going on. "Your clue is as good as mine. In the timeline I come from, this never happened. I have.. No clue what we're up against." he said in disbelief. He spun around and shot a creature that came close to the window. "And for the record, you can call me Gabriel." he said with a smile. His smile quickly turned to a scowl and he pointed over at a house that had "SOS" painted on the roof, and boarded up windows. The door was bashed open. "Let's hope we're not too late."

Jason also saw the house as he was driving, "Me too Gabriel, me too.", Jason said as he stopped and parked the car in front of the house. "Okay, lets go.", Jason said as he got out of the car with his M4A1 slung over his shoulder and ready to take out any creature, "Lets hope we can find some decent answers when we get back to the snow fort.", Jason said as he began walking to the house making sure he's not making too much noise to alert what ever is inside and looked through the door to see if anything is there, "Alright, coast is clear, lets move in.", Jason said as he enters the house in search of survivors.

As Gabriel stepped through the open door, he could tell the place had been ransacked. "Our best bet is either the basement or the attic. If the people in here as still alive, that's where they'll be." he said, starting up the stairs. "I'd say lets split up, but we have no idea what we're up against. Attic first?" A.I. looked around the second floor of the house, searching for a way into the attic. There was a trail of blood leading from the top of the stairs into another room. He slowly stepped inside, and saw a man on the verge of death, leaning against the wall. A.I. dashed to his side. "We will get you out of here, do not be afraid. Please tell me, are there any others?" he asked desperately. The man pointed to a hatch in the ceiling, which A.I. recognized as the entryway to the attic. Just as he was about to pull down the hatch, two of the monsters came crashing into the room. "You ready for this?" he said to Retaliate with a grin.

"Sure.", Jason said as he followed Gabriel in search for the the entryway for the attic. After a while they found a man that was close to death inside a room and watched as Gabriel dashed to his side and ask if there were other survivors, which he pointed to the ceiling where the entrance for the attic. And just as he was about to pull it, two monsters crashed into the room they were in. "Woah!", Jason yelped as he formed bladed spikes on his left arm and aim his gun at the creatures with the gun in his right. Jason grinned as Gabriel ask if Jason was ready to eliminate the creatures, "Heh, the question is, are they ready?", Jason said cockingly as he shot one of the creatures in the leg and grabbed one of its tentacles and swung the creature through the window and let it go which sent it flying. "One down, one to go!", Jason yelled with excitement as the other creature charged at him from behind, "Yeah, not gonna work buddy.", Jason said as he quickly turned around and sliced its head off, and followed by its body falls to its knees and than to the ground.

Jason turned to the ceiling, "Now lets see what's behind curtain Number 1!", Jason said as he pulled the hatch down, screams were heard from the attic, "Agh! Man that's loud!", Jason said as he looked inside the ceiling revealing a woman that is possibly in her late 30's, 2 youngs boys between 10-12, and a teenage girl. Jason just stared at them for moment as if waiting for something, "Hey you ready to get outta here or not?", Jason said as he turned to Gabriel, "Gabriel, you carry the man, and I'll escort these guys out and into the van.", Jason told Gabriel as Jason holds out his hand to the mother, "Are you coming ma'am?, Jason asked her. "W-where are we going?", asked the mother as she grabbed the hand. "A Giant snowfort made completely out of solid ice.", Jason said as he helped the stunned woman out of the attic and lead out of the house and went to the van. "Mom, what about dad?", one of the boys asked. "If your talking about the man close to death, don't worry my partner has some degree in medical assistance.", Jason said calmly as he opened the back door of the van for the family, and when they got in, Jason gets in the drivers seat, waiting for Gabriel, "Okay, for now, we gotta wait for your dad to be patched up, and than we can get you to safety.", Jason said but coincidentally his danger sense is triggered by something outside of the van, "Hold on.", Jason said as he rolled down the window and grabbed a tentacle from the roof top and yanked it hard that the creature fall to the asphalt ground, "Sorry buddy, VIP only.", Jason said to the creature. The creature quickly got up, but Jason formed a sword from his arm, extending from his hand and stabbed it through the creatures skull, "Okay, Gabriel really need to hurry up.", Jason said meekly which worries the family in the back.

A.I. watched as Retaliate made quick work of the two creatures, and opened the attic door. There were four humans, women and children. Retaliate escorted the civilians to the van while A.I. was left with the task of keeping this man alive. "Sir. Do I have permission to give you medical attention?" he asked, not because of programming, but out of manners.
"Go f-for it.." the man managed to say. A.I. quickly cut the man's already torn shirt off him, and assessed the damage. He had two deep gashes diagonally across his chest. And he has lost a lot of blood. I need to stop the bleeding. Gabriel thought. I don't have nearly enough to even bandage this...
A.I. had a sudden realization, and dashed into the other room. He came back in moments later, with an armful of sheets. "Lucky we're right night to laundry room!" He tore the sheets apart piece by piece, wrapping them around the man's chest. After a few minutes of applying pressure and trying sheets, the bleeding had slowed, if not stopped entirely. The man was struggling to regain conscious, when A.I. picked him up and carried him down the stairs and outside to the van. It seemed like Retaliate had dealt with most of the creatures in the vicinity, which gave him plenty of time to load the man comfortably into the van without the starting the bleeding back up again. "Alright. You heard Blisses. The safest place now is the subway station in the ice fortress. Let's move, he doesn't have much time. Let's hope the military has some sort of medical support over there."

"Got it.", Jason ashe start the car and turned it around to drive their way back, but finds a small problem, "Aw, crap.", Jason said as he saw a small group of creatures marching towards them. "Guess, we have to get out and deal with them.", Jason said as he reached for the keys but paused, "Or not.", Jason said as he stamp the pedal and ran over the creatures, "We don't need get out, we got a van!", Jason yelled as he continue to drive down the street for a while until he noticed the ice on the road and slowed down, "Finally, we all made it back.", Jason said as he parked the car in front of the fort, "Alright, everybody off the van.", Jason said as he opened the door for the family and helped them out of the van and walked them to the guards, "You guys go take them to the station, and bring some medical attention over here, we got a wounded.", Jason said to the guards, which they left the the family and waited for the medic.

At the time the family left, Chaos arrived via rooftop jumping. He listened as the two conversed about saving the civilian's lives and he narrowed his ghoullish eyes. While they were conversing, he jumped off of the rooftop and slammed full onto the van, completely crushing it and even slicing it in half, making it virtually useless. He then cracked his neck and stood to his full height as his tentacles started flailing around wildly. He grinned a psychotic grin where his lips seemed to stretch around to back of his scaly head, long, sharp, serrated, dagger-like teeth dripping with green saliva as he laughed like a psychotic clown, his laugh high-pitched and full of insanity as his laugh shattered glass and screeched through the air like a thousand nails simulataneously scarping on chalkboards. "Sorry old chaps, but the squishies are gonna die here and no lameo ickly-bickly superbutts are gonna stop me and my awesome cloned offspring army, which means I am the real thing and not some deranged clone to be army-sized cannon-fodder" he said as he made sure to keep both heroes in his line of sight as his wiry, flexible, gymnast-like body frame got into a flawless martial arts stance.

A.I. readied himself to fight another creature, when the thing began to speak! Startled, he listened to the monster explain that he was the original, and the rest were all clones. It made enough sense to Gabriel that he didn't bother questioning it. He knew this beast was going to attack he and Retaliate, and if it's claim was true, it would be a lot more powerful than any of the other things they had fought today. "Retaliate. I know our orders were to defend and evacuate, but I don't think this guy is giving us much choice..." he said to his fellow Talon. "Well, as Phoenix likes to say... Talons engage!"

Jason was stunned to learn that the thing that jumped on the van told them that the creatures were its clones and that it is the original that is speaking to them right now, and tells them that he will kill everybody. "Well thats explain one question.", Jason said, "But the thing about what you just said was the easy part, the hard part is the one where you try to kill us.", Jason said as he took a fighting position. Jason was also glad that the injured man was already transferred by the medics to deal with his injuries and was taken to the subway station. Jason smiled as Gabriel used one of Pheonix's favorite catch phrase, "We are just like the Bald Eagle, elegant and graceful, but mess with us and we will rip your freaking eyes out!", Jason yelled as he made his armor more bulky and muscular, and taller by an extra foot with razor sharp spikes protruding all over his body, "And you mess with the wrong birds, nameless one.", Jason said as he charged at Chaos.

Chaos cackled and cackled out in an amused manner as the man grew spikes out of his body and charged at him. He quickly cartwheeled out of the way of his charge and maneuvered behind the man, quickly picked up a car and threw it at the man. Before backflipping away as he quickly turned his attention to Gabriel. "Before I kill you all, my name is Chaos and I am the Big Bad. Don't bother me giving me your names because I don't care to learn the names of my meals" he shrieked out as he lashed out at Gabriel with a claw before bending backwards and rolling away before winding up 20 feet away from the two. He had to be careful since he was outnumbered and he couldn't risk being reckless.

Gabriel stumbled back, and repositioned himself. The moment the creature made contact with A.I., he knew that it's claim was true. This one was much more powerful than any of the other monsters he had fought today. But if this monster was the original, did that mean it was in control of the others? Either way, he was taking it down. A.I. unholstered his energy pistol and fired three shots at the creature. "I like your clones better. They don't talk as much." he said before unloading another two shots. "Retaliate, you get in close! I'll cover you!"

Jason was about to pounce on Chaos until he got out of the way and got behind him, "Crap!", Jason yelled as he slammed to the ground and was about to get uo, but Chaos threw a car on top of him which momentarily pinned him to the ground. Jason slowly tries to repositioned himself when he heard Gabriel to attack Chaos, which excite Jason and aggressively knock the car off of him, "Roger that!", Jason replied to Gabriel as he charged at Chaos once more at him, "Caw caw, you damn ugly wolf!", Jason yelled at Chaos while forming a blade on his right arm to slice Chaos.
