I have a couple friends.1 is so afraid of Hannibal Lector he can't even hear the name so the other always pretends he's watching Silence of the Lambs just so he'll not bother him.

How i grew to love comics was my dad use to read them to me as child. He would do voices and the what not to make the stories that much better you know? Well he always did a before its time impression of what we would consider heath ledger's Joker.
Well he was reading a comic to me and this quote alway stuck with me. It was one of the Flash's Rouges talking to a group of villains.
"When parents want to scare their kids, they tell ghost stories. When Villains want to scare people... they tell Joker stories."
My father turned the page and started the Joker voice for the next scene. Thinking of it now as I type sends a chill through me.

Weird, I never really watched the Land Before Time stuff as a kid. My scariest villain was probably Freddy Kreuger (as a kid I mean, I'm not really scared by villains these days).

Another one that scared the pants off me as a child was Gmork from the Never Ending Story. Every fiber of this character... His voice, his facial expressions, his words, all of it scared the crap outta me.
