Personality: Even though at his core he is a good and caring man who only wants to help and do what should be done, his unstable psyche make him seem like a merciless trigger lunatic. He is a loner for that reason but that never meant that he wasn't open for cooperation. But he knew it was difficult to work with him so he never collaborated with any of the "superheroes" as the news call them. He sees the world differently then you and I and that’s why he doesn’t want almost any contact. After all he’s not a big fan pf the “catch them alive” police rule. He can be a bit sarcastic and immature at rare times but most of the time his is this focused, calculating, efficient, killing machine fueled by will and grim determination. He doesn’t believe that heroes exist. Also he hates corrupt law enforcers and public workers. Who wouldn’t. He has this way of talking that could be described as both nonchalant and energetic. When you listen to him you can never guess what he is thinking. That is how he likes it. No one, not even the good guys are allowed to know what he is thinking. At least that's his opinion.
History:
Westmoor, 36 years ago. Gregory was the son of a hero cop. At about the age of 3 his father and mother were divorced because his mother had a drinking problem. A year latter she died of alcohol poisoning. His father, the hero cop took it upon him self to raise the boy on his own. Growing up with him, Gregory grew to love his tough yet kindhearted father as both a parent and best friend. At a very early age, Gregory was taught to improvise and be resourceful because sometimes his father wasn't home for quit a while. At the age of 12 his life was turned around. One day Greg was late for the school bus so his father drove him. But then, halfway to there destination, the car's engine burst into flame. The car span out of control and flipped over. O'Flanigen senior only had time to push his shock stricken son out of the car when it exploded. Gregory was far enough to survive but the raging fire ball of the explosion burned a portion of the right side of his face (similar to Johna Hex). A good friend of his fathers, one of the few honest police men along side his late father, took the traumatized Gregory into his home and tried his best to help him through this tragedy. Gregory grew and seemed as if he had gotten over the loss of his father and his disfigurement, but that would be an utter lie. Ever since the accident, young Gregory became very paranoid, convinced that the explosion shouldn't have happened. At the age of 16 he talked his foster father into taking him to see the wreckage of the car which was taken away and dumped at the city dump all too quickly. His new guardian hesitated, tried to talk him out of it, saying that the wreck has surely bin crushed into a cube by then. Finally, seeing that there was no changing Gregory's mind, he took him to the dump. The dump, like much in Westmoor city, was an inefficient and almost abandoned establishment. After a day or so of searching Gregory found his late fathers car, or at least what was left of it. He and his guardian searched it top to bottom. Gregory started loosing hope and started fearing that he truly was paranoid as people were saying, but then the found something. A small chard lighter-like device was attached to the cars gas tank. Gregory was stunned. Why was that device there. Who could have put it there. Was he going to die too. He didn't want to die. He became desperate and a bit panicky. His guardian, seeing Gregory crushed by the fact that someone was actually responsible for his fathers death, reviled to Gregory that his father was working on case that didn't seem to be what it was at first glance. He was getting close to something he shouldn't. He was a cop that couldn't be threatened and couldn't be payed off so the solution was obviously kill him and his kin. Gregory, having bin taught by his father that the world might not be perfect but there was always hope, never thought that there could be people like that. But now he knew. And that is when the slow but steady transformation started. Over the next few years, he studied hard. He did his best to improve his mind and to broaden his knowledge. At the age of 22 Greg was drafted into the Afghan war. He didn't mind. After all the army was a place where one could learn many "interesting" skills. During his 4 year stay in the army he learned all there was to know about fire arms, military equipment, maintenance and repair of said equipment, tactics, stealth and a few other things. During his forth year of surface, he decided that he had what he came for and that to stay there would be a waist of time. So during an sudden and massive attack by the enemy, Greg managed faked his own death. After he "left" the army he went on his own, traveling through Asia, Europe, Russia and Africa, using his skills to earn a great deal of cash. He was employed as a mercenary and latter, after honing his stealth skills and gaining more experience and fighting skill, as an assassin. For every job he got a great deal of cash, he spent only on food and drink and some times lodgings, the rest he stashed away. After all his plan required resources and money is the ultimate resource. This went on for 9 years, by with time he became the perfect killing machine. His mind also evolved along his body and skill. He never neglected to study and improve his mind. When ever he was resting, he was ether reading, reading always relaxed him, or performing mental exercise he managed to learn in Asia. With the money he earned he bought a large collection of fire arms and other high-tech equipment he needed at the black market or other places where you can get what ever you needed and no questions asked. He was ready now.
He returned to Westmoor City in secret. He found suitable place where he could establish a base of operations. He assembled his first gear. A Kevlar vest beneath a black jacket with a red streak in the middle, holsters for two guns, ammo pouches, two razor sharp knives and blood-red full mask. He started out small. An attempt at rape here a low level drug dealer there. He didn't kill them. That would come latter. He would brake there bones and/or knock them out. The killing was reserved for those who he deemed worthy. He was new to this type of life. Still afraid. After all, there is a certain amount of fear an actor feels before stepping upon the stage to dazzle the audience with his comedic wit or his sorrowful drama. Slowly but surely, he got better at it. All the training and experience had finally paid off. With a large portion of the gear he collected, stole and bought, Greg made a suit. He took almost every possibility while designing and crafting it. During his missions, that became more and more frequent and efficient with time, he found out through interrogation who was responsible for the murder of his father. With the finishing of the suit the final stage of his transformation that started 24 years ago had begone.
File on the "man in red" by WCPD detective Carlos Desmund.
Not much is known about "him". He almost appeared out of nowhere. As if he surfaced out of the ground. There were numerous rapports of a man in red stopping several crimes in progress like: burglary, car theft, rape, gang violence, vandalism. All the would-be criminals were found knocked out or with bruises and broken bones, eager to confess and testify. This continued for some time until new rapports came that the man in red has shifted his focus on a private company owned by a man called Jordan Hartley who greatly helped the citizens of Westmoor and restored the city to full glory after a period of unemployment and decay. The rapports started showing the man in red fighting interrogating and killing a large number of gang members and members of the city’s crime families. Time passed and bodies piled up. Then one day the WCPD received a call about a brake-in at the central business where Hartly’s main building is. They arrived at the building and found its hallways littered with dead bodies of henchmen and security guards. Jordan Hartly was found in his office, barely alive, stripped to his underwear, handcuffed to a radiator pipe and the words “I sell drugs” carved into his skin all over his body. Surely he denied the charges, claiming that all that were the actions of a madman. But all that changed when one of the officers present saw what was displayed on Hartly’s computer: drug sale toots, lists of payrollers, evidence on other crime families, white slavery clients and a whole lot more. After the events of that day, the people now knew who their supposed “hero” really was. I was at the scene when patrolmen Derick saw the files on the computer. It was weird, it was if somebody opened them right then and there for us to see. All I can say is that this guy knows his stuff. Id hate to for this to reach the other officers, but I'm starting to thing that this freak in a cape might be a necessary evil.
End of rapport.
The present
After exposing the true killer of his father and false hero to the public Gregory moved away from Westmoor. He arrived (what ever the places name it is that this RP is taking place) and established him self in secret. Now he does what he is best at. After so many years, the transformation was completed. Gregory died in Afghanistan a long time ago and in his place rose a new man. A man who, in the absence of good leadership, will do has to be done. A man, known only as the Red Hunter. He kept to his work, he was never all that enthusiastic about the whole superheroes and villains that seemed to multiply like rabbets around the world. But with the rising number of meta-humans, good and bad, he knew that he'll have to get involved sooner or later.
Powers (since he doesn't have any powers let's just call it "equipment"): He is trained to the peak of human conditioning and learned the basics of stealth. The suit he wears now has bullet proof full-body armor plates that are segmented for better flexibility. It's armored plates are on the outside. He included a cape made of flame proof material in his "uniform" as he calls it. He can use the cape to cocoon him self when surrounded by flame. For facial protection and masking, he made a full-head helmet that has a respirator and voice distorter built into it's mouth peace. The eye piece is comprised of and armored plate protecting his forehead and a triple lenses multivision goggles over his eyes. The goggles have night vision, thermal vision, EMP detection and compass. He also has a pair of gauntlets on his wrists that have armored plating on top and a compartments for two retractable curved blades on the side and a small dagger on each elbow ( He almost never takes them off). The same goes for the armored boots he wears. The gear he uses can vary a lot (depending on a mission) but when on missions he usually carries 2 Glock 18s; 5 frag grenades; 3 flash-bangs; two combat knifes in his boots; a taser; a strong line with collapsible hooks used for climbing and descending; a couple handfuls of marble-sized grenades and smoke pellets and finally a PDA for data storage, evidence photographing and other forensic calculations. Like I said, it all depends on the mission. Sometimes he'll bring a sniper rifle or an SMG. He always gets his facts strait before he goes out so he'll have a good idea about what to bring. Sometimes, when on recon/stealth missions, he'll even leave the cape and some of the heavier parts of the gear at home base for extra mobility and speed. Simply put: he is skilled, highly armored, cunning, armed to the teeth and, being a smart resourceful man, ready for almost any possibility. But underneath all that tough exterior is actually a vulnerable man stuck in a life he never thought he'll have.

Roleplay Sample: Red could feel the bone crack as he slammed his elbow into the thugs arm, bending it in a way it shouldn’t bend. Sancho, the skinny Hispanic drew what looked like an nine millimeter handgun. But Red was faster. He could see that, in his state of superstitious terror, Sancho was aiming to high and to his right. Letting go of the now broken arm Red dashed toward Sancho. Before the skinny man could react, he felt the air being knocked out of him by an armored fist slamming into his gut. He collapsed onto his knees. His whole body shaking, Sancho looked up to see three glowing dots as red as blood staring down upon him. Then his vision was filled by darkness as an armored boot struck the side of his head, knocking him out as sure as a light switch turns a room into darkness.
Red stood over the scattered body of the thugs. He could see their chest bobbing up and down as the breathed slowly. Obviously he didn’t hit them too hard… or maybe not hard enough. He could never figure out the difference. He really didn’t really care.
Suddenly, red and blue lights pored through the broken dusty windows of the warehouse and the sounds of police sirens drew closer. Some wayward pedestrian must have hired the commotion and called it in. Typical. No time to search the place for clues. There was one other possibility but Red wasn’t so sure was it worth it. The police sirens that were even louder now made his mind up for him. He grabbed the knocked out Sancho by the belt, hoisted him up and slung him over his padded shoulder. "Interrogation at home-base it is".

Re: The Red Hunter
Okay, I figured that the armor was added into the overall DUR score but I don't see anything that explains why his speed is four, which is super human and above even the most highly trained humans. If you can just make an item to explain the speed I'll let it slid. That covers the problem I have with the stats so make an item that explains that and your stats will be alright.
The rest of your items need to be put into an Item Application type format so that it's easier to see how many items you have. Also you're not going to be able to just say that it depends on the mission, which could be considered godmodding. You're going to have to list every item he could be carrying at any time. I don't mind any items that are just for RP essentially, like the respirator or the goggles or whatever, but any items that count as attacks you're going to need to say how much power they have, in relation to you INT, and just so you know you can't have infinite weapons.
Use this Item Application as a prompt for your own:

Re: The Red Hunter
Oh so above 3 is superhuman. I didn't know that. Sorry I'll lower it. But then again it doesn't say anywhere what's the limit of human based abilities.
Questions: do you count fire arms as energy projectiles? What do you mean "any items that count as attacks you're going to need to say how much power they have, in relation to you INT"? Do I have to list the gear he has in reserves and where (in the character profile or the item thingy)? And finally what are the statistics of distributing power point in the power grid of items?
Also, he does have an arsenal of weapons and gear at his hideout in Westmoor. It's similar to what the Punisher or Big Daddy have. It's far from infinite.
PS: Do you like the pictures?

These are the power level equives that you should have looked over before making your character.

Weapons are made with INT and anyhting that shots a bullet, cuts something with a blade, or poisons someone is a INT powered. So your guns, your grenades, and your swords need to be identified and said how strong they are, look, and how strong they are.
And you'll have to say what weapons he has before you can post using that weapon, you can't simply say that you got a gun from your safe house. Any weapon that is 3 STR or lower you do not have to list though.

Re: The Red Hunter
Thanks for all the info. I'll get right to it. Now I feel guilty that I finished a topic without know all of that. One more question: Aren't all realistic fire arms 3 and below even rocket launchers?

Re: The Red Hunter
Basically with INT characters they make their own variation of a standard gun or they make soecial bullets or something. You can do bullet thing pretty easily.

Re: The Red Hunter
Any weapon normal weapon, knives, axes, swords, Rocket Launchers, pistols, ect are powered by 3. So unless you have the INT to make them, they are normal.
