Till the Sun Goes Down

11:40 PM

Kevin Smithers and his girlfriend Mellisa Mayberry leave the restaurant to finish off their date. So far everything was going well. It was their second date and Kevin planned to end their night with a kiss. Everything was going on so well that Kevin made several detours while driving to extend his time with his new girlfriend. Melissa on the other hand did not feel the same.

She sighs as she stares outside of the window of his cheap car. She hadn't planned on going on a second date but everything was so rushed that she felt as if she had to. She thought that her mind would be changed if she indulged this guy a bit, but in the end it didn't really help. As soon as she gets home she'll tell it to him straight.

Smiling Kevin asks, “You had fun right?”
Melissa nods, answering with a simple, “Yeah,...it was alright.”
Kevin nods in approval, “I agree, I really had a good time. By the way maybe we can..”

“WATCH OUT!!” Melissa yells as she points to a dark haired teenage girl in a white dress seconds away from being hit by Kevin's car. In the last second Kevin swerves to avoid the dark haired teen. He misses her by a few inches, but spins the car barely managing to stop.

Kevin turns to Melissa and asks, “Melissa are you alright?”
Melissa was a bit dazed but she nods to Kevin's question. Kevin turns to where the girl was but she is nowhere to be seen. Kevin shakes his head, “Weird..”
Melissa turns to Kevin, “Whatever, Kevin will you just please take me home.”
“Uh...sure.”

Kevin tries to start the car but begins to have some trouble. At this time the girl reappears next to Melissa's window. Melissa gasps as she stares at the girl. The girl's dress was stained with with blood while the girl herself was very pale with placid skin. The girl smile's revealing long sharp fangs. Melissa screams. It's too late as the girl's hand busts through the glass window and grabs Melissa's neck. With both hands the girl rips off Melissa's head. Lifting the dismembered head into into the air the girl drinks the blood that is dripping down.

Kevin was in shock but he recovers when he sees several other pale teenagers descend around his car. They all begin to laugh as Kevin is frantically trying to start his car. The teenagers grab on and begin to rock the car back and forth. It was obvious that they were messing with him but Kevin wasn't going to have any of it. Finally starting his car Kevin speeds off leaving behind the laughing teens.

Tears were streaming down his neck as Kevin finally arrives at the police station. After hearing Kevin's story and seeing the dead body the police consider the evidence and place Kevin in a cell.

7:30 PM The Next Day

Detective Nick Norson gets the case. He has been through cases like this before, he used many unorthodox methods that weren't exactly legal. For the sake of keeping the streets clean these methods were needed. For a case like this it was a bit too much for an ordinary person like him to handle. But there's always more than one way to get things done.

Wilder gets a call, “Vampires eh, well that sux. I'll be there in a few minutes. I can't stay for too long, it's starting to get dark.”
