Great, another vampire?(closed to perfectpredator)

John was otherwise enjoying is vacation in Chicago, a great city in its own right. He kinda liked it here, but not enough to actually move to the city, or anything. He loved New York enough not to move from it. Though an extended vacation would also work just fine for him, and luckily he had the funds for that. So John was all set for atleast a month in the city if he so chose to stay that long, especially since he met a young woman with interesting powers he had never seen before. Though he had seen some pretty cool powers in the past, mostly from people trying to kill him, even the memory of that vampire was still fresh in his mind. Even though it had been a while back, he could remember it vividly, even him trying to drink his blood when he was unconcious. That was not a pleasent thought to have in your mind in the middle of a Chicago night.

John pulled his brown jacket close over his skin, cursing his choice to wear these khaki cargo shorts of his. True they showed off his legs, they also left them vulnerable to the cold. Though he was close enough to his hotel room to not really care about the cold, so he just quickened his pace to get there faster, breath coming out in small white coulds of moisture. Furrowing his eyebrows he thought about maybe a hot bath when he got back. Maybe a long sleep after that, which all sounded wonderful to his aching body. Considering he was rather tired from the day of fun, and all that. Though he knew Jimmy wouldn't be all too happy about him staying longer than a week. Still what he did with his money, was his own buisness, in his own mind anyway. Atleast he didn't have to do any hero work in a city like this one, afterall the Phantoms had it covered. No reason for him to encroach on their territory, or whatever they called it. Sighing, John saw the hotel come into view, as he ran his fingers through his black hair. Now he could get some rest.

Eva had come to Chicago on a whim, travelling by day instead of night.Sunlight made her feel uncomfortable but, she was thankfull for it. Her early life had been at night time like her father but being only half vampire had advantages.She had been soaking up the sun for quite a while and felt the sudden pain on her skin telling her she needed shade or blood. There was noone on the street nearby but there was a hotel, she decided to help herself to the receptioinist. She quickly made her way inside not even feeling the temperature change. She knew she must look strange with a sword on her back but she didn't feel like giving the man time to ask any questions. She cleared the distance as fast as she could, glad that no one was around right now to interupt her feeding. As soon as she was close enough she leaped attaching herself to the man and biting deep into his throat.

She felt the mans body give way when she was about halfway through, he no longer had the strength to fight, but she was slowly getting stronger from his blood. She stopped with the man barely able to maintain conciousness from bloodloss."Look well and remember my face for it will be the last thing you see." She said qouting a line from a vampire manga before sinking her fangs into him again this time drinking more hungerly. Finally she felt his heart stop and released his corpse. She was still feeling hungery but thatwas just the after math of the feeding. She yawned and strechted nturning to leave and seeing a man in the door.damn a witness guess i get to feed again afterall, She thought, rolling her stiff neck which was feeling sore from the last man.

He was so close to the hotel he could almost taste it, when his eyes caught a most grisly scene. What looked like someone biting into a persons neck? he thought Chicago was suppsoed to eb weird enough with its metahumans, but this was rediculous, then a thought came to his mind he didn't want to consider. Was that person a vampire? Though he thought they didn't exist, but since he got his powers from an ice spirit. Vampires didn't seem so farfetched really. Still he knew this would not be a good thing, afterall vampires were supposed to be like superstrong, and all that shit. Not good at all. John mentally cursed, wishing he could have chose the long way to the hotel, at least he would've just dealt with a regular thug, instead of this.

He considered maybe running away, but he was too startled to really even do that. His body froze, as he looked at the woman with what he would call a neutral look. Then his body finally began to work, as he quickly commanded his power to work. Ice daggers forming behidn his back, ready to move if she tried anything at all. Keeping prepared if she tried anything, even running if he had to. "We don't have to fight you know, I could just walk away. Though thats only if you're willing to let me, but if we have to, I will fight you." John stated his voice slightly shaky. Fingers clenching tightly into fist's, as he waited for her reaction.

Eva couldn't help but burst out laughing, fight her he sounded like he was about to faint."Sorry but it's a personal rule no witnesses." She said walking forward baring her stark white fangs.She was sizing him up wondering if h would make a good meal. She lounged for him eyes filled with bloodlust. She intended tokick his legs out before tucking in to her new snack.

She felt no fear of her snack, she was the lion, he was the lamb. It was the natural order of things. The as she got closer she noticed it his blood smelt like ice. She faltered. coming to a complete stop before she reached him. He rmind was racing, blood smelling like ice how was that possible?, Then it hit her the man was a meta, he had powers. She now she felt some fear, he might actually be able to kill her. She made the mistake of focusing to much on her thoughts and didn,' see his attack coming.

John quickly jumped back, to barely dodge the sweeping legs, thankful he didn't drop his guard. Otherwise the kick would've knocked his feet out from under him, which wouldn't have been a good thing at all. Though he didn't know what skills this girl had at all, maybe a healing factor, or some freaky vampire power. Though neither really sounded too good at all, not one bit. He didn't know how to really deal with other superpowers well at all. So he had no idea how to deal with whatever this girl could dish out.

Quickly he sent the shards of ice out to try, and stab into her legs. Not aiming to kill her, just cripple her, so he could get out of there, but he didn't know if that would help. After all he didn't know what the girl could do, so it was at the most a gamble, but is legs quickly gave out under him, as he fell backwards. Cursing silently as he had to come up withanother plan. Since his legs for some odd reason refused to carry him away from this place, not good at all.

She snapped back to her senses barelyh in time. She managed to dodge most of the ice but, one shard lodged straight through her left knee. Normally a blow like that would be cripling but it only enraged her. She pulled the shard out of her leg and felt the wound start to staunch. She would be fine in a few seconds and then he would pay. The momontary fear she had felt faded away into rage as she stood up limping, watching the man fall." You are going to die painfully." She said drawing the katana on her back.

The blade looked to be dull stone till she slid it through her hand, cutting it open, The blade seemed to drink her blood and turned into a deep red metal. The light cut in her hand healed almost instantaneously. She felt her bone realigning as she moved closer to John. She tried to bring her sword down across his face. He rvision going red, hearing his heart beat pumping from fear and adrenaline, she was going to make him suffer before his death, maybe cremate him alive after mutilating him, but he was going to pay for the pain he had just caused her.

He knew that the attack only pissed her off, much to his displeasure. Though when she began to heal, that was when eh realized he was pretty much fucked. This girl could heal herself, which would make her hard to disable. Still he had to think of something, but when she cut her palm, he was even more confused. He was wondering whyt he hell she would cut herslef, though when the bade sharpened, he understood somewhat. This girl was no normal person at all, she would be hell to fight.

Cursing John condensed ice into a wall infront of his body, as the blade made contact. Slamming into the ice wall, biting into it, but stopping halfway into it. Which was a relief to John, who moved to have the ice wall slam forward. Hopefully pushing the girl back a little, so he could flip back onto his feet. Knowing he could not get out of this without a fight. So he took a stance that showed how skilled he was in martial arts, no visible flaws in it. As he waited for the girl to make a move.

Her blade stopped inside ice pissing her off even more. She pulled her sword out of the ice and managed to get out of the way before he threw the wall. He r leg was almost completely healed now so movement wasnt an issue. She allowed him to gwt up and take his stance while turning her sword back handed and placing the blade behind her back, taking a stance with her left hand open palmed at him. She took off circling to the left this time waiting for him to make the first strike.

He quickly evaluated her stance, which was a well taken one, though he could deal with it all the same. Just remove her head, and she couldn't heal anymore, but killing was against what heroes did right? Though he supposed he didn't have much of a choice in killing her ,or not. Though her look would make him feel like he killed a young girl, not somethign he needed on his conscience , though he couldn't afford to go easy on her. Quickly he rushed her, as more shards of ice condensed from the air.

Aiming at her legs to atleast draw her attention, as she aimed to grab her wrist, so he could twist the blade from her hand. If he could do that, she would be less of a threat, but if she ignored the shards, and went for the slash. He would try to sweep her hand aside, and drive a palm into her face hard. In his mind the plan seemed solid, but he was just hoping it would work.

She saw him charge forwardand shoot ice at her legs. it was obviously an attempt to distract her. Simple logic stated that he would try to take away the most dangerous elements she had, which would be her sword, Blood Singer, she wasn't about to let herself be disarmed. She charged forward herself jumping over the ice and bringing her left knee up attemting to bring it into his face. She kept her sword held over her head out of easy reach ready to bring it down if her knee made contact.

If he managed to block her knee with his hands she could easily swing her right leg into his head instead, and if he pulled up another ice wall she would just have to kick off of it and find a way to get close enough so he couldn't use it. Proving that her right leg blow was also stopped, she would bring down Blood Singer in an attemt o force him back.
